You can toggle on 'personalization' on listings to do this but you would have to make sure on Printify you do not have automatic push settings so you can stop orders being printed as is, change the design on Printify and then manually push(submit order). Here is a tutorial last year where I show how to toggle this on and how to create design templates: ua-cam.com/video/L-S4F04KIf8/v-deo.html
I just list all variants, colors, prices in Printify, and all uploads to Etsy. Then I add my mockup photos and complete listing details. What I'd like to know is how you would list multiple shirt styles, i.e. the 3001, 3005, 3001Y in the same Etsy listing. I see this done everywhere. Thank you.
Hi heather, Thank you for the videos Could you please do a video on mother and child group listing with more than one color? It will be much appreciated. Thanks again
Hi Heather 🙂 Love your content! Do you think that for listings that have a ton of variations, that in the beginning it’s ok to not input the sku numbers into Etsy and to instead manually match the orders to the sku numbers in Printify? I ask because I’ve created listings with lots of color and product variations that sold very little or not at all, but the time it took to copy paste everything was pretty significant. I’m a newer shop, so I’m still learning a lot about how to make designs that will sell well, and I also want to make the best use of my time.
Thank you sooo much for your lovely video. May I ask you a question about have you ever tried the routing system for printify? If you have tried before then how you manage to set your shipping fee? If not then have you tried to sell things to a foreign country?
Thanks for this video! Super helpful. I’m trying to figure out how to do the more complicated group listing, like the wine bachelorette party example. Do you just add an additional variation for each shirt saying/design? And then load the SKUs for every color and every size for each of those designs/sayings? I haven’t seen anyone take a video that far yet. If anyone else knows please reply. I’ll probably just get in and try it. Thanks Heather!
I am taking "baby steps" toward a group listing...not going to lie, it is intimidating! I have created some grade level t-shirts. Instead of a group listing for these, is it ok to put a photo card mentioning that additional matching shirts or custom changes are available?
First of all, hi Steve! Another great video! I have two questions: 1) Did you change the quantity to 999 or leave at 1? 2) What happens if an item is out of stock? Thank you!
I was trying to figure out why heatherstudio was showing up in my ad results and that led me here. Not cool. You should get permission before using someone’s listing in a video that you profit from. And use hypothetical niches or use your own best sellers. Then you’ll know how it feels.
Hi Heather, thank you SO MUCH for your wonderful tips and videos, they are SO helpful! I open my Etsy store in January and no sales yet... Could you please write the name of your Etsy store? I would love to see it and learn even more. Thank you🙏
Hello outstanding vids been following you for a bit went through the how to video for Etsy and printiful. Sorry to say when I open my Etsy account for the store actually last night must’ve been open for an hour etsy shut it down so I appealed. Could you help me out? What do you think?
Hey Heather, simple question for you: To register your etsy account, did you intentionally match your account email handle name to your etsy shop name? I am creating a new email address for my etsy shop, so it's separate from my personal email. I am wondering if customers can see your account email address and if so, would you want them to be the same branding/name? I plan on starting a POD shop and digital downloads shop in the future -- would you recommend the different email addresses I create for each shop match the name of the shop, or do you know if they have to? What would you recommend I do? Thank you so much for your content Heather! Rachel
watch out for scammers i had 2 etsy told me i have to contact pay pal ond the otheone i messaged diffrent person havent heard from her yet im done with it deleating my account
Hi Heather. Is there a way to make a group listing with two shirt colors (or even just one), where they have about 20 options for phrases to choose from in variations, but also have the option to customize (choose) their own phrase instead of picking what is offered? How is this done? This is how I see group listing variations listed when I am doing my market research. Thanks!
Look up “How to create personalized Etsy listings”, it will be less confusing viewing a video walking you through the steps. So you can create different drop down menus for customers to choose from, one for colour & size & another for phase variations. These variations will be automatic to ship but for the personalized one would be manually entered into printify by you each time a customer orders or you can pay a third party service like Hello Custom to do it for you. When you’re listing “Your Text Here” in which the customer provides the phase you would turn the “Personalization” button on. When an order comes through you would go to your design software, most use Canva & you would create the personalized design & then to Printify for uploading. After uploading go to “My orders” & select “Other orders” then select the customer’s order & the size/colour. Don’t check the box to “automatically import orders with this product variant” or your personalized listing will automatically ship with the same design to future customers & then you import the order! There’s a lot of steps & a walkthrough video will clarify the process. Best of luck on your POD journey!🍀
Why not generate the SKU only after the order is placed? Without SKU it would go under Other Orders and at that point is super easy to import it under order
There are two ways to do this, you could do the no SKU method as well with other orders tab(I suggest this for custom/personalization) or with a SKU like in the video. I personally think the SKU method in this video is much faster, the other orders method requires an extra step in the process which can delay the order going to production- dependent on how often you check your backend. For my own shop, I do the SKU's because it's more streamlined when customers purchase and it goes straight to my POD provider and I can auto-push. I don't think either method is incorrect though, it just depends on your personal preference and how hands on you'd like to be with your shop. I prefer doing SKU's so that it's streamlined. If I had personalization/custom, I would do the other orders method though. Thanks for bringing this up as I may make a video on this other method later for personalization group listings as well! :)
It depends on what print on demand company you use~ I've used Printify and SwiftPOD or Monster Digital and processing is 1 to 5 business days. In 'off seasons' or slower periods, it's closer to 1 to 3, in Q4 it's up to 7 business days. I've had hundreds of 5 star review stating my processing fee is fast so it definitely is quick from my experience. I've had many order with Printify fulfilled in the same day too in multiple occasions. I definitely recommend them over other companies~ I've used others and had 2 week processing. Also, full transparency that I am a current affiliate of them but prior to ever being on UA-cam an making tutorials I've used them.
There's size and color charts you can purchase on Etsy, create your own, or my Shop Brandkit(BC 3001 only) on my website here: studio.heatherxstudio.com/store
Dude I'm trying to get ANY sales in my store haha. ...Will create group listings this week. Thank you!
I was literally planning to look for a video to do this today and youtube put it in my feed before I got the chance! Thank you so much!
Thank you! I've been trying to figure out how to do group listings :) You made it look easy.
Thanks!! Always looking for new ways to do group listings. The cutting and pasting is always so tedious 😆
Do you have videos on how to create customizable products for our customers? Can we do that with Printify?

Thanks for the video. I REALLY wish Etsy and/or Printify supported CSV file export and import. It would make this process so much easier.
my word!

Hi, do you do consultations? I need some advice on pricing and shipping for minky blankets 😊
Thank you for this video! Should we leave the quantity at one or will it auto renew if someone makes a purchase?

Is it better to run many ads on $1 a day , or have less ads running but with higher daily ad spend, thanks
Thanks for tanking my sales by sending all the copycats after my best seller. Please consider this when making your videos.

Great video, is it possible to do group listing for digital downloads?
Thank you for your video, I have a quick question, when ordering samples how do you log them in financial date, do log them as an expense or a sell??
I know this is a probably dumb question, but once you have your group listing all set up can you delete them from drafts on Etsy?
