I loved Paula’s podcasts and made 2 of her Piper’s Journey shawls during her illness. I sent her a bookmark made with the yarn I was using for the shawl and to tell her I was praying for her and she sent me a sweet personal note. I was surprised and touched. I miss her presence in the knitting community!
Hi Cheryl! All of those stockings are great! I know you are happy to have completed the last of them! I wish I had met Paula. It sounds like she was an amazing woman!
I enjoyed the episode, Cheryl! I have heard of the Knitting Pipeline but didn’t ever watch or know of Paula, may she rest in peace. She sounds like a wonderful woman. I would vote for knitting the Solomon Poncho after Christmas. Before is just so busy in my opinion!
Hi Cheryl! Thank you for talking about Paula! I remember listening to The Knitting Pipeline early on in my podcast-listening days too. I’m so glad there’s a book about her. 📖 I would love to dye a kit for your wildflower tee in the spring! I’m excited about knitting it for myself and maybe my 2 girls too.🌸
Thanks so much Holly! Paula had such an interesting life and was just a lovely person. I am blessed to know her. I would love for you to dye a kit or kits for Wildflower! We can talk soon.
I really enjoyed Paula’s podcast. I love that she named some of her shawls after places in Door County, Wisconsin that I’ve been to many times. Thank you for sharing about the book.
That plant behind you is gorgeous! You are so ahead of the game for Christmas. That patriotic stocking is so cute! For the poncho KAL, I might be able to join in if you postpone it until after the new year. It's so amazing. I'd really like to knit it.

That is such a good story. She treated everyone with such kindness.

Thanks Susan - I am happy to have them done so far before Christmas..... but it does feel a bit weird!

Thanks, Paula was a wonderful woman.
You are confirming my original thought that it is better to start after Christmas!

You are so welcome. I will have to look for her Door County inspired shawl. I have only been there once, but would love to go again. It is lovely!
@@WiseOwlKnits there are several: Gills Rock, Sister Bay, and Ellison Bay
Thank you, Cheryl. I vote to start the poncho after Christmas - too much to do beforehand. I really am looking forward to Wildflower.
Thanks Lindsay. All votes are for after Christmas!

Gorgeous Xmas stockings Cheryl!
Thank you!
Hello from Mounds, Illinois. It’s a beautiful poncho but I don’t think that I have the experience to knit it yet.
You can do it!
Lovely tribute, Cheryl. I loved Knitting Pipeline. And how do I not know Sue? We're in the same state!
I believe she is near Boulder… so still far from you, right? Knitting Pipeline was wonderful!
@@WiseOwlKnits Yes - Boulder is a mere 5 - 6 hour drive depending on how many bathroom breaks I take!
