Eru J Illuvatar! Angmar is finally being fleshed out! Horned Barbarians, Hill Troll's, Werewolves, and what looks like a Barrow-wight hero?! Not to mention the dedicated Angmar Orc captain we heard about earlier! The only things I would want would be a pack leader Werewolf, and standard Vampires under Gulavhar. I am appreciating that Arnor is being worked on too, though it could definitely still use swordsmen and bows (both on foot and mounted). Having militia, Knights, Royal Guards and some form of artillery would be greatly appreciated. Maybe down the line we'll also see Rhudaur, Cardolan and Arthedain subfactions. An evil Hill-men army would be sick, as long they are differentiated from the Carn-Dum men
It will be fascinating to see where they do. With them really pushing and returning to Angmar and Arnor, they could go some fun places and visit some more time periods within Middle-earth for sure now :)
Hey Ben, just been looking for some positive/excited coverage of the next stuff to try and balance the wave of negativity that has greeted this wave of releases. Naturally I gravitated back to you channel. Even though these are a couple of weeks old, it’s great to hear someone talking with joy and positivity about this latest release so please never change and keep the good vibes going. I’m not too fussed about too much of this stuff as it doesn’t really float my boat but I’ll pick up Earnur to lead my BSIME Gondor army at some point and those Hill trolls are just too gorgeous to pass up so I’ll have to get them at some point. Looking forward to more smiley content covering the new stuff as always! Damian
Thanks chap :) Similar boat on the actual releases - lots of gorgeous stuff but won't be buying too much of the Arnor stuff. Will most likely will get my hands on Chieftain Aranarth and the old Dunedain and Rangers kits (as long as they stay around for a bit) as always wanted to do a proper Dunedain/Rangers list. Can't wait to see what the design team for MESBG ends up doing when we dive deeper into the new edition and those new minis based on War Of The Rohirrim.
Personally I'm very keen on this book, but more for inspiration to build armies in either Oathmark or maybe Midgard(when that comes out) I hope this book goes into details about the battles around Fornost.
The Warriors of Carn Dum look more like they came out of the Oldworld Dark Lands rather than the hills of Middle Earth. I admit I'm out of the loop with what has been going on in this game but the aesthetic is all wrong if the aim is to keep it copacetic with Peter Jacksons Middle Earth. They look more suited to a Monty Python Holy Grail expanded universe or the remake of Time Bandits.
I think they match up once you take into account some of the recent sculpting for the likes of the Dunlendings etc. They are a departure in some regards but don't feel like they stand out too much. They'll be a bit different when stood next to the old, old plastics I'm sure though
I would imagine these are going to be Forge World Resin rather than plastic. That would marry up with the amount you get in a unit and what they've done in the past for these supplements.
The men of Carn Dûm look way too AOSified for me. They'd look ridiculous next to i.e. warriors of Rohan or warriors of Gondor. The rest of the miniatures are very decent.
They do seem to be based on the design of the Men Of Carn Dum from War In The North (the video game) - or at least inspired by them. I'm alright with their look but can see why they'd stand out for some folks
My god those new trolls are stunning
They are astoundingly good Trolls. I saw them and they blew my socks off.
Been waiting for this for what seems like a life time. Very excited
Indeed, it's great to see it becoming a reality!

Angmar army of monsters here we go
Indeed!
They got my attention. Maybe I should try it out.
Worth keeping an eye out. Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game is a genuinely good set of rules and the miniatures are lovely!
I need a lie down. This is amazing news. Can’t wait for it to land now.
Indeed - it's so good to see such a BIG bunch of releases for Middle-earth coming up!

Me too - it's not something a lot of fans will be familiar with so you'd hope they go into more detail for those not swatted up
I am curious to see the scale of these vs the old 25mm minis. They look bigger.
If it's anything like the recent Forge World miniatures and new plastics, they do feel a little tiny bit bigger but not out of place.
You know what? The Shadow of Rhudaur looks a bit like the 'Barrow Wights' we'll be seeing in the next season of Rings of Power.
Shh… if you say its name you give it power…
It does have a bit more of that look to it which I really like. I think the design of the Barrow Wights in what we've seen so far is fascinating.
@@BecauseOfDragons I'm looking forward to seeing their take on Ents as well.
@@AndrewMcColl Yes! It might push me to get some of those Ents for the army I have been meaning to do for ages.
Minis for Middle Earth? Impossibruh!
I know, what world are we living in?!

Some of us are on fixed incomes and just cannot afford FW prices so I guess I'll be looking for proxies again.
If some/all of these end up in a new edition starter box, we might get lucky with plastic.
@@AndrewMcCollNew box set is rumored to be Rohan vs. Dunland
I can totally understand that - thankfully there are very good proxies out there.
If they do go Rohan Vs Dunland as has been said here - I reckon we could well get brand new plastics.

I'm sure their rulebook and miniatures will be quite reasonably priced. GW would never take advantage of their loyal customers.
Independant stockists ftw (although not very helpful wth Forge World I will admit)
Are these plastic or Forgeworld? I hope at least the evil human warriors are plastic. Thanks in advance if anyone knows.
@@srpyle it doesn't seem like anything has been confirmed, but based on current practice the trolls could also be plastic.
