Digital copies better all be on one code. It'd be a nightmare typing in 100 of those things.
A code per film
100 separate codes. although a mistake on Disney's part there. Now who wouldn't stop the owner from reselling the 100 codes.
@@DankerTVTimeCapsule Resale on Disney codes is through the floor at this point, since everything is on Disney+. The probably are just liquidating old, unused codes from returns and can't be bothered to do a new thing.
😂
It's pretty easy with a phone to enter each of them - the "redeem" page on Movies Anywhere lets you "scan" the code and it does OCR to read it. Times-consuming compared to one code for sure, but far less tedious than manually entering them all. Definitely should have been a single code, though.
A lot of these movies have 4K releases, the rest you should've upgraded to celebrate your 100th anniversary. That would've made sense and the price would then make sense.
You could've at least included the movies that already have 4K discs as 4K.
How many people don't own any of those movies on BD already? How many will buy the packaging just for that packaging? for $1500? This is like your Star Wars hotel fiasco. You're just assuming people would throw money at you instead of doing the right thing for your fans.
Honestly I don't have any of them. Just started getting back into Disney movies with my wife. I think it's cool expensive but cool
If it included 4ks I’d purchase this. Hands down.
@@TheOnlyBongoexactly ZERO of their Blu Rays have ever been from DVD masters o.O
@@TheOnlyBongo the article that took me here said that they are all only 1080p without HDR, even the ones that have been released earlier as 4K aren't in this collection 🙄
@@ThomasMikkelsenEverStoned77I thought we finally had 4K Treasure Planet in our hands, but alas...
@@TheOnlyBongo This is horrible misinformation. WOW....
Cost aside, I’d only buy this if it had DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp! DuckTales deserves more love.
It does show ducktales in the digital copy booklet 🫣
@@BrandonBeez for real?!
@@robertcarldecker2 column, 3rd movie
@@BrandonBeez I’d rather have it on Blu-ray.
I’d assume they’d include a disc for it says it includes 100 codes for the 100 movies in the set.
This is insanely expensive, most people who collect disney already have a lot of these on blu and 4k, you'd just be paying for a pretty but boring box. This should've been divided into multiple sets by era. For a box set to be about animation you went no colour. It's going to look like one of those office boxes on your shelf
The physical media is great!! My problem with this is that there is nothing new offered here. BRING BACK the WALT DISNEY TREASURES line
The only new thing is Pooh’s Heffalump Movie on bluray for the first time
I want to own Zorro and all the pre 1980s classics
Right? It's exhausting dealing with this company and they've mishandled the Disney 100 so badly it makes me sick.
I scoured this list for the films missing from Disney+: Disney Princess Enchanted Tales: Follow Your Dreams, Mickey's House of Villains, Snowed in at the House of Mouse, Pooh's Heffalump Halloween, and ....
surprise, they are not available. Of those, at least all but the first are available digitally. I don't know why they won't finish the collection on Disney+... or digitally.
@@ItsOctober3rdOfficial For House of Mouse and any related projects, they would have to remove any instances of Br'er Rabbit, Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear, because they come from a racist film "Song of the South." and are in the song featured on the episode "Von Drake's House of Genius!"
@YoshiAngemon they had zero issue including SOTS being in the sing-along-songs collection and its been banned stateside for a long time by that point.
That’s the price of my last Disney vacation
Per person 😂😂😂
After analyzing the digital copies listing, it seems this set doesn't include Peter Pan and Mulan. But, Chicken Little and Meet the Robinsons are there twice. I'm hoping this is just a mistake as this set includes real gem but including the Peter Pan sequel and not Peter Pan is just weird.
Nah fam, who needs Mulan I'm watching Meet the Robinsons and Chicken Little at the same time
According to the list at The Wrap it includes both Pater and and Mulan.
@@jeaz Yup, I saw that afterwards. Seems we lost Ducktales: The Treasure of the Lost Map though, probably to make space for Elemental.
It includes everything from WDAS and Pixar, which means that Peter Pan, Mulan, Chicken Little and others are included.
WDAS and Pixar make up 88 movies without Wish, all of which are on The Wrap's list, so for the 12 they needed to reach 100, they added The Nightmare Before Christmas, A Goofy Movie, James and the Giant Peach, The Tigger Movie, Return to Never Land, The Jungle Book 2, Piglet's Big Movie, Pooh's Heffalump Movie, Tinker Bell, Frankenweenie, Planes, and Planes: Fire & Rescue.
That's a massive request from Disney.
Will likely be around $2600 where I live in Canada.
Should have been on 4K BLU RAYS!
Even the HD stuff could have at least been upscaled nicely 🤔
It's such a shame that Song of the South is being omitted, but still.
Great way to celebrate a Century of Magic!
Agree. I'd be mighty tempted to buy if it had song of the south.
funny you could buy "song of the south" in other nations, but it was banned ONLY in the US by disney! I got a copy dvd from a guy I know in europe!
@@bobsmith-wg9fz Yeah, I know. I actually have a DVD of it I got a while ago, but it's a rip from a VHS and isn't very good. I was able to get an HD version of it in a download a while back, and it's much better. I just think it would be nice to have an official copy of it that is nice and clean. I for one think it's a terribly misunderstood and harshly judged movie.
@@DennisAroundtheHouse IMO right now disney needs money and popping out a DVD or blue ray of song of the south right now would net millions as most people alive today have never seen it...I saw it theaters as a very young kid as it made it last reruns...disney could just release it and say...hey don't like it don't buy it and go pound sand
No it isnt a shame.
Took a century, but they're opening the Vault!
It’s even more exciting because my all-time favorite Disney film is on there.

Goofy movie
@@michaelrivera4299 Exactly
@moviefan99 yup, I'm excited for that one too
@@moviefan99 I like the 3 cabojerros
That is interesting that they are putting out this big beautiful set which is bluray and digital only and probably wont be easy to store. Yet at the same time they are starting to put some of the original animated movies on 4K. Cinderella is out and Snow White is coming soon and I hear more will be on the way.
The film selection is certainly peculiar, but honestly the fact theyre doing this at all during the age of streaming makes me smile. Might get this if i have 1500 dollsrs in loose change.
Is Song of the South in this? Its been a long while since you released that on laserdisc....in Japan only!
No.
Disney doesn't have the guts to release that movie. Too bad it's really a very charming tale. I am still trying to get it on laserdisc at a price that won't land me in divorce court.
It's those stupid crystal ears that are jacking the price up. Anytime Disney uses the word, the price goes up $600.
$1500 for a collection films I already own on blu-ray, except for one movie that's new to the format. No new 2K or 4K transfers, what exactly are we paying for here? The packaging?
The packaging is horrible! Lol
Can you keep the crystal mouse ears and take a few hundred off of this? Heck, keep the digital codes, too. Overpricing physical media so physical buyers can’t afford them is the wrong way to go about this.
(BTW, awesome-looking set)
I already own much of the content, but proper 4K scan Blu-ray discs or ideally 4K UHDs may justify the purchase cost and fees for me to import into the UK. However, looking at the listing at 0:36 it is odd to see seven titles are duplicated ... CARS, CARS3, COCO, INCREDIBLES 2, LIGHTYEAR, MEET THE ROBINSONS and finally POOH'S HEFFALUMP MOVIE.
Those sleeves tend to damage the discs when they are taken out and put back in🙄
Why didn't I see Mulan on that list?
Why did I see Planes 2 and NOT Mulan?
The CBR article has a list that includes Mulan, but I don't know their source. I also didn't manage to spot it in the video, but maybe it's just hiding in plain sight?
Do the movies have commentaries or special features?
2 people could go to Disneyland for this price.
If they bring their own food.
The overstock will be on Amazon for $199 in no time :)
So like... What's ACTUALLY in this box? It's the number one thing you need to tell, and people are confused. On the list shown here there are multiple doubles (Cars 3, Incredibles 2, Coco, Pooh's Heffalump Movie, Lightyear, Chicken Little, Meet the Robinsons), and movies like Mulan and Peter Pan are missing. At least tell us what's really in this paper box???
Fantasia will be the censored version. Any other movies? We'll see.
Also a shame not to include "Song of the South"
Yo ho, Yo ho, a pirates life for me!!
This isn't worth anywhere near the $1,500 price tag, especially when so much of it (all of it?) is available on Disney+.
Does it include Song of the South?
I need one of these. I guess my next couple paychecks are going towards this 😅😅
The hardest choices require the strongest wills
Given that physical media targets cinephiles and collectors, It's a little strange this isn't a 4K release. Even if some of the transfers aren't truly 4K, the additional benefit of having HDR calibration would have made them look spectacular, and better than their 1080p counterparts. This is a cool collection but disappointing at the same time
As a die-hard Disney fan, the set sounds amazing!!!!😃 However, I have to agree with everyone about the price. It makes no sense to pay for movies that I already own regardless of how beautiful its presentation may be.
Ya 😊 although it's $15 for each movie, could have probably reduced it to $10 pre movie.
Same time the edited out stuff which is why I'm hesitant on it, not all of it is bad but stuff like dumb and drinking which takes the point away of the message
0:36 your photoshop messed up the list... that's not the list that's a selection repeating itself.
It's kinda funny that Make Mine Music is available for this Blu-Ray collection and yet it's not yet available on Disney+, censored or not.
1500$ is too much for me to spend on this. It's just too much
Wish they could acknowledge the og live-action movies as well
How many times have we dipped into the same movie pool..lets count the ways with..lets go with My Little Mermaid..VSH.. DVD.. Bluray diamond collection.. 4k ultimate essential collection.. now regular bluray legacy collection with 99 other films. Disney is the Nintendo of movies
Does anyone know if this includes any languages besides English?
Can we get it on a payment plan?
Does it come with mulan?
Yes.
Ummm....Why are their 2 of Cocoa,
Incredibles 2,
Lightyear,
Cars 3,
And Pooh's hefulump movie?!?
I hope this is just a rough draft.
According to the list at The Wrap there's just one Coco, and Aladdin is on the list.
@@jeaz check agin, one on the bottom left between Cars 3 ans Incredibles 2
the other on the botton middle
No 4k???? Nothing new over the old blu rays????????
Here I was struggling to find my girlfriend's Christmas present.
This makes it too easy!
And now you can struggle to buy your girlfriends Christmas present because it’s $1.5k
$15 a piece for DVDs? I seen one site that states that it includes Chicken Little (obviously trolling) to laugh at how stupid this set is. I know they will sell them to the hardcore collector's but to someone that already has more than 400 DVDs, 100 blu-rays, 15 3D blu-rays and 30 4K blu-rays this will be a no purchase for myself because this will likely be around $2300 in Canada and just the sales tax where I live would be nearly 300 dollars alone.
What music is being used for this?
I bet the version of Make Mine Music will be the censored one released via the Disney Movie Club.
Your one chance to model this afrer a vault and you blew it....Y'all could have gone with the tag line of "Bring home the majic of Disney's film vault today!"
This is a big ask price wise. Is there anything special other than the packaging because Im without a doubt sure that I can get all these movies on 4k or bluray for far far less than 1500 and the crystal ears hat really isnt appealing at all.
Warner Bros did a better job with their Anniversary box sets, 4 sets with 25 films per box and $100 each, much better deal than a $1500 box set with kinda meh films. Yeah, the WB sets had meh films, but at least they weren't scams, unlike this... Do better, Disney...
Was there a price yet
$1500 😨
Ok but why is COCO listed twice on the catalog sheet?
This should've been 4K.
I read that its going to be an "Walmart Exclusive". Is this true?
Lol did anyone notice that they put Lightyear TWICE!?
Including every modern day "fixes" you'd expect from correct disney.
$1500 for this set? I think I'll pass. I have most of these movies, anyway. Just not Blu-Ray Versions of titles like "Ralph Breaks the Internet," "Dumbo," "The Aristocats," or other titles.
It even includes "A Goofy Movie," which I already have, thanks to the Disney Movie Club.
Does this have the original Pete's dragon?
No it doesn't & no mary poppins bedknobs & broomsticks or song of the south either lol.
But it has such good Modern Disney & Pixar classics like Lightyear strange world the good dinosaur turning red the jungle book 2 home on the range chicken little toy story 4 planes 1 & 2 elemental ralph breaks the internet cars 2 encanto raya & the last dragon & frozen 1 & 2 🤣
Yes you have most of the classics in this set which are censored for modern audiences I'm sure of it but At least you get a free paper weight
Lol You're honestly better off just buying the films you want on DVD or Bluray online or at a second hand shop or flea market this collection is a joke.
If I had that much money I would ABSOLUTELY buy this. This is so cool
What they don't put in the video, is this costs $1,500 USD.
Even WB's 4 box sets were better priced as all of them is than of the amount, and on top of that (Hot take alert), they had better films included. Yes, you read that correctly. That aside, they also had more of an appeal with not just the movies, but also the extras included
Only blu ray not 4k??
If this had every Disney movie ever on it it would be worth it, but since it doesn’t it should be cheaper.
It would be great to see this set on VHS
VHS tapes haven’t been released for a long time.
Not sure who the target audience is for this? Who can afford to spend $1500?
Black Cauldron yes or no??
It looks like a album cover
How much?
1,500 USD apparently
I'm friends with the person who came up with this idea. 😁
Is Coyotes on the list??? Where is Condorma??? They need to release the classics
Something you buy and never open
I don't like the packaging.
Make the version with 200 films in the future cost 5 million dollars >:)
Cars2 and coco are on the list twice
With that price there should be plastic cases for the movies.. 🤔🙂
They don't have all the good ones they're missing several Disney classics
There are some really, really strange film choices, here...
It's so cold and clinical. I don't think kids will enjoy opening it. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy box set was my most precious possession when I was 10 because of the artwork and textured decals. It felt like an adventure every time I opened it.
It's not meant for kids... this is obviously aimed at the Disney adults
What the other guy said and also that it' more of a cool decoration, rather than anything usable. I hate to say this but if anything, cartoons don't really need 4k releases interpolation algorithms have a field day with them and you probably won't be able to see the difference if I was seamlessly switching between a high-quality av1 encode and the original file under normal viewing circumstances. The sheer cost of this set is not really in line with the benefits it's supposed to provide.
Don't be so shy. You can write all this in your own comment and someone at Disney might see it.@@pmester228
Lord of The Rings were not kids' films either. I didn't notice a Swarovski crystal Mickey Mouse dildo, nor Mini Mouse pink handcuffs, so your reply is moronic.@@Antron7000
I think the storybook layout works perfectly for Disney, that's what the core of Disney has been, stories.
480 likes & 589 dislikes, i though this collection was too expensive!
Selling dvds sounds so outdated. I havent used an actual dvd in over 10 years...
It's too expensive. That would cost a lot of money and I can't afford it.
You are asking WAY too much there Disney. Lower the price about 75%-80% and we'll talk.
I Need to Get This 💎💙
would consider it if the older movies weren’t DNR’d beyond recognition
It’s the only way to get people to guy Strange World and Elemental.
And it serves as a chronology of the decline of Disney films
Eh Strange World was great 💁
You can pay 13 years of D+ for that money
Wish we COULD pay ahead. If it locked the ever rising price in I'd pay for 5 years right now before it's jacked up to 30 dollars in a year.
Apparently they’re removing a lot of stuff from Disney Plus tho
Looks to me disney in need of money 💰 so they do this way to much money for us average people mabey 1 day it will be in the walmart dvd bins 😅
Blu Ray *
Better not come with 2 copies of cars, 2 copies of cars 3 and 2 copies of meet the Robinsons
Yar har, fiddle de dee, being a pirate is alright to be.
cardboard sleeves are the worst part of film collections these days.
I was surprised by the $1500 price for this set, but then I remembered that George Lucas had sold book sets of *_Star Wars: Frames_* at $3000 and those sets sold out quickly. So maybe that price isn't as far out there as I thought.
The apple of physical media
the box isn't even pretty, it looks like it's from star wars.
I wish more companies did this I don’t get the hate yes it’s expensive but you get digital as well plus these are iconic movies
So nov 14 is my birthday so could you cut off about 500 from tthis and ill get it
My birthday is on November 18th it's kind of funny it's so close to my birthday just like yours lol but dang that price tag that's way too much money this should include the 4K discs for all the newer movies and then keep all the older movies on Blu-ray
If the finnish release doesn't have the original finnish dubs this will stay in the store. The redubs are awful.
Disney Movies, Good to see this. You are getting warming. You are heading in the right direction. Break this into Eras, get stuff that didn't see wide distro. Continue the Physical + Digital trend (love this. Don't be afraid of physical content distribution.) Not everything NEEDS to be 4k since it was never filmed/produced for that high of resolution anyway. Build up to 4k, do a 4k Era blu rays when it makes sense to do that. I like the conservation of space in this packaging too. Offer a version of this that dispenses the collectors cruft after you fish the high end spend market for all its worth. I would just lose the ears behind the entertainment center anyway... Swing back around with a budget content option (I don't need/want a certificate of authenticity) but I want the 'official' content. Content is easy, official content is harder. Make it so! You got super close, and you have my interest now.
This is a cool idea, but I'm surprised the packaging is so bland man. It doesn't look like a collector quality set, aside from the crystal mickey ears and fold out style box. No art or special inserts aside from the movie list and the Wish lithograph
I'll take 20.
I would buy this, just a shame it’s 1,500 dollars. Yep, you read that right, 1,500
its like $150 each
$1500 for a fancy box of movies that we’ve all bought a half dozen or more times. I’d pay $300 just for a 4K set of the golden era, including Song of the South. Everything from 1961 on is available enough already. Disney is out of ideas, folks.
I’m curious to find out if there are particular movies in that collection that are on 4K UHD blu rays, like the animated Mulan. Just saying that they are Blu Rays isn’t specific enough, at least for me.
Did you just specifically say that you wanted the most racist disney movie on 4k? Weird thing to admit but okay
@@EnoculesIt’s still a part of their history whether they like it or not so it’s best for them to accept that.
What about "Victory Through Air Power," a film United Artists released during World War II, with Major Alexander P. de Seversky? That was on the "Walt Disney On The Front Lines" set from the Disney Treasures Line.
