That Black XJ's bumper is exactly what I have been looking for to replace my current bump. Love the added cut and fold protection on that! Awesome XJ builds and wheeling fellas!
The amount of work Cody put into that thing is insane! If you have a Instagram you have to visit it. The posts about the work he’s done and the pics of his exploring are top notch
Man, I did this trail in October in the Rover with a bunch of trucks on 32" skinnys. It was supposed to be a "rock garden" not a "boulder field". I made it but used every piece of body armor on my truck. I think this trail has gotten much harder from all the rain washing the rocks into the wash.
I would of loved to see the rover go through it, that has to be very technical on those skinnys! That’s awesome man 😊. From all the past vids I’ve watched it wasn’t as gnarly as what we went through so that has to be the only explanation is the rain just exposing all those rocks
@@2AOverland I'm trolling bro you guys got some nice rigs! I haven't done smiley in 6 years! It was with a much more capable jeep. If you are local to the area and wanna take the cherokees out for a spin please let me know! I have a 95! I've been out of the community and trying to get back into it myself when I get the time here and there. Be safe and I love the term "trail sodas"
Damn that looked fun! One day I'll drive my TJ out there and hit that trail. I probably need to finish my suspension and regear my front end first though. Also, nice XJs!
Thank you! It was a really good time! When it warms up more we wanna hit this trail again to show the difference between snow wheeling and summer wheeling
I'm actually getting ready to do smiley rock in my rig. And passenger in a ultra 4 race car that just came in second at King of the hammers. We're going out there to tune my shocks up and he's going to give me a ride in the race car er race beast whatever you want to call it. I've seen a lot of people break axles on smiley Rock.. and heard of a lot of actors breaking.
Are you guys running automatics or manuals? I have an 04 TJ that wouldn't like that stuff much. One, because it's not high enough for it and two, because if I try to go from park into drive on an incline I feel like my shifter location wants to drift.
Yeah we’re running automatics and Ive heard people like manuals for wheeling but I prefer automatics so I don’t have the distraction of shifting while wheeling
It was awesome to hit the trail with all the snow and everything being frozen! Cody and Travis are really chill guys and I can’t wait to hit another trail in the future with those guys
Thanks for watching! It’s the iron rock offroad 5/8 crossover steering. I’ve had it about 5-6yrs now and it’s been great with no issues. The only downside with the iron rock is they want over $200 for a rebuild kit. So I am switching up to the cavfab 5/8 steering cause they’re rebuild kits are $90 and the kit just looks better on jeeps in general.
Maybe get some gear reduction.. When you fall behind it's better to catch up especially if no sell service or radio com. Other than that nice fun trail
I’m on 4.88’s locked front and rear so I’m fine gear wise. I fell behind and did bypasses cause I was busy spotting and filming for the video. But we did have radios and made sure we stayed in eye distance of each other
@@2AOverland Nice guess your next upgrade will be a 4-1 transfer case. Thats where those 4.88's will shine. My boy has 4.88's in his XJ with a RUBICON 4--1 Transfercase Crawls great Happy wheeling.....
Thanks for the support that keeps us going 😎 that was a good trip forsure and you’ll like our next video since we’ll be in some more snow. I made the roof rack custom and I got the gutter mounts from K suspension, some of the strongest ones I’ve ever seen!
I know the guys are running dirtbound offroad and cab fab steering and I got iron rock offroad. I definitely need a steering upgrade to what one of the other guys have lol
Mmm yeah I haven’t heard anything bad about it but I haven’t researched much either. My friend with the white jeep had the dirtbound and he says it’s been nothing but great
@@2AOverland cool and that's not too far from me as I'm located on the other side of Mingus Mountain east of Prescott, now if I could just find a reasonable person to repair my rear transmission/cross member I can go wheeling again
Not a problem man! I’m glad to help! A tip too is go straight to a long arm lift if you can afford it! The ability wheeling off road and how smooth it will ride on road is worth it! If you have any other questions and have an Instagram you can always message me on there too. And have a merry Christmas and a happy new year 😎🎊❄️
You shouldn't look at that negatively where are the rock got stuck between your tire and your fender.. I would look at it as extra tire clearance now instead of body damage.. you just need to do the driver side now 😂🤪
Good to know! We definitely want to hit this trail again when it’s not a frozen mess lol. Do you have an Instagram so I can hit you up for the next trip?
That’s exactly what I have and I’ve been down to 8psi before. But it all depends on how you wheel. I would say a safe psi would be 10-15 just so you don’t have to worry about blowing a bead
I would not had risked the door on my overlander like you guys did between those two huge boulders. That's why I'm a pussy ass overlander though. I know my lane.
Not at all man! I don’t discriminate I just poke a little fun from time to time 😂 We do both, overland and wheel hard. I bought my xj a little beat up so I won’t be upset if I dent it 😬. Thanks for watching! And all that matters is you’re outside exploring 😎👍
Cooler than any g wagon
Damn right 😎
"The Jeep Cherokee XJ's performance here proves that it's not just a vehicle, but a companion on any offroad adventure.
That Black XJ's bumper is exactly what I have been looking for to replace my current bump. Love the added cut and fold protection on that! Awesome XJ builds and wheeling fellas!
I appreciate it man! We’re gonna keep on wheeling 😎
Im the 500th like and i just got myself an XJ. Thanks goes for your video, I’m hyped.
You’ll love that jeep man! Thanks for watching ☺️
Taking the bypass means you're smart.. if you were in doubt that was the best decision..👍
Straight onto favourites.
I appreciate that man! Thanks for watching and we’ll keep the vids coming!
Which poison spyder hood louver is the white xj running?
It’s their JK hood louver!
At around 13:03 shows why a stubbly bumper is good
I think I like the white Cherokee maybe because it looks like mine. 😂
Hell yeah 😂 I like that Cherokee too it’s a monster in the rocks
Wow, that looks like some gnarliness Todd would love!
You’re right! Todd would love this trail! The jeep got a few new scratches from it 😅
@@2AOverland you know it. I have never been there, either.
Todd Hoffmaster wanna go when it warms up a little? I’m shooting for 35’s, beadlocks and sliders before next summer to hit this trail again
@@2AOverland that sounds like fun.
This vid came out awesome man!
Thanks brotha! The rigs did awesome on the trail!
Trail looks like a blast! I’d love to get out there in my XJ!
Have at it! It’s a really fun trail :)

My kind of wheeling 👍🏼 trail soda haha
Hell yeah 😎 we can’t wait to hit more trails like this and show everybody!
@@2AOverland I’m close to being ready buddy and we are gonna head west
Sounds good man! We’ll try to set some time to the side so we can camp or hit a trail
i just had white jeep pass me today in apache junct would love to go wheelin sometime love the jeep
That might have been him! That would be really fun to go wheeling when I cools down!
agree gives me time to get rest of my things together for jeep would love that
Sounds good 😎
I ran this trail on 33s and a 3 inch lift with open difs looks like you need a good spotter
My spotter was fine but everything we wheeled was either frozen, had snow on it or was muddy

Awesome Riggs I could be wrong but I think you guys just need to air down those tires look full and xjs can crawl.
Thanks for watching man I appreciate it! in this video the other guys were aired down to 5-10psi and I was 15psi since I didn’t have beadlocks 😅

How much lift the black XJ has?
Not 100% sure but I think 5.5inches

Dude I love the sliders on the black Jeep. Do you by chance know who makes them?
He made them completely custom in his shop, he’s a metal fabricator. He also made his rear bumper too and several other things
Does he have a write up online?
I don’t think so 😅 I put his Instagram in the bio of the video and he has stories of the build process that are extremely detailed
First!
Thank you!! 😎👍🏼 hope all is well brother!
What size tire are you running and that’s what a 4.5” lift? 33x12.5r15 KM3s i’m guessing?
You’re correct on both! 😎 thanks for watching btw!
