A year ago I needed a new washing machine and wanted to buy British. I contacted EBAC customer service for advice and stated that my concern was that 'Which' had given it a very low rating. Their response: "If you chose to believe Which, buy another brand", which I did, a Bosch, and it's brilliant!
Psychic. Exactly what I'm thinking and have always thought since they first came out. Worst machines to ever exist. Ebac really need a rethink on how to program these as they're awful. I fully agree with Which
the spin issues are the absolute dealbreaker for me here, especially with oversensitivity being my biggest annoyance in a washing machine. can't wait for the wash races with BSH and LG, to see how they really compare. i think we already know the answer though...
I always thought there was no way this could be designed from scratch. Despite Haier having some experience with refrigeration products in China, the first front load washing machines ,washer dryers and dishwashers they introduced in the early 00s were based on early Merloni/Indesit designs. Anyway, it seems Ebac have the old Fagor tooling and design rights, and thy have seemingly addressed the lack of cleaning ability with the Maxi series, with the caveat of a 3 vs 7 year warranty. As the old saying goes in software, ever buy the first version ;-) I hope they do work on the issues and revise it, as well as prodice matching dryers and washer dryers too.
Never heard of ebac. Sounds like they’re one of those companies taking designs and giving us consumers crap about how they are so good when actually they’re just scrounging off of other company designs
To be fair on them they are quite new to the market but I think this machine was finished to early and the 2nd gen should have better programming a jet that’s actually sprays the cloths better build quality and much better design and should retail at £400 for a 9kg 1600
It wouldn't have felt like a rip off I'd it was priced at £400 but still would have rated mabey 5 or 6 at most. 2nd generation should have been out 3 years ago. Most models only run a 5 year cycle at most. But all they have done is added some new colours. Ditched the 7kg model in place of a 10kg model. And that's it.
@@whichwasher2007 I think instead of trying to compete with Bosch the 2nd gen’s should rival machines like the hotpoint active care hoover h500 wash beko b300 and so on i hope they have another go at the washing market but put the machines through hard tests and make sure it actually does 1600 properly and has standards for their wash and rinse performance with a much sleeker design instead of looking like a early 2010s machine with a vestle touch i think putting their first ever produced washing machine at £650 was the worse idea it should of retailed at £340-400
Agree with you, yea, they look nice, but damn its bad, an thinking about that it looks like an fagor, idk, by the way, as vestel, Them stole drum design from Alladio (argentina apliance manufacturer), Mestel at least changed some things, but ebac didnt even do that
I totally agree with you they sort a duvet cycle ebac. I don't low rinse level is I think sensel load Size . Ebac mind of lg washing machine try to spin .it does look nice ebac washing machine 9kg 1600rpm spin. And got add more cycle 9kg
Thanks for this video. I can never understand the point of those water jets. All the clothes will get wet and washed anyway with or without. It's a pointless feature which just makes the machine look more sophisticated with the hope of more sales. The spin on this is shocking. It's banging out and sounds cheap.
A recirculating jet I find helps to pull debris into the coin trap..and it dose help with washing as it also helps keeping clothes wet. But this jet on this dose nothing but keep the door glass clean.
Nope the update didn't work. One fanatic bought a brand new one this year and it still fails to ever spin at 1600rpm. And sudslocks out the drawer still.
@@barrytemple808he is payed to do this kind of news believe me I have a new one since 2021 they said to me its newest that time its a lot better than my smasung Bosch older ones

Honestly this machine is even worse than the Zanussi one paddle machine or the Indesit Moon in my opinion. When I 1st heard of Ebac back in September of 2020 I was wondering if the machine is perfect for the price but after seeing this it is much worse, I felt like the Zanussi one paddle was better with spinning compair to the Ebac machine but yes you have the one paddle which had issues trying to balance the load but I'd say that the Ebac is much worser than the Zanussi.
I am wondering weather to lower my ebac score 😂. That zanussi one paddle drum. Did struggle to balance the load by design. BUT never Aborted a Spin or limited a spin. And it was only £229 New.
There’s literally only one thing going for these washing machines that I can see people would buy it for, it’s a British company. Don’t remember the last time a British company produced a washing machine. Other than that, these seem pretty garbage.

@@Lukas99905 their quality is shocking to say the least. Their front panels dent so darn easily that probably just from a dosing cap would dent it. I've not had this issue with any other washer. Also my candy and Hoover always limits to 1400 from 1600 even with no load
I’m surprised about how rubbish this machine actually is, the programming in some sections is horrid 🤣 Also I spy an AEG 8000 series next to the Ebac, which is probably far better than this 💀
Adam have you ever used a front loading machine ?. I have, several, going back to the 80s with Hoover machines when they were good (built here in UK), then cheapo Indesit crap, then superb Bosch late 90s (FAR better built than current Bosch machines), and for the last 7 years a fairly cheap 2nd hand Hoover. The more modern the machines, esp the Hoover with it's larger porthole window, you can rarely see any water at all in the machine. Partly cos the drum is eco-designed that way, to save water, and partly cos we (wisely) don't run them at full load, so the machine senses it doesnt need so much water. Yet they still wash very well. Even when we deliberately use the "extra water" setting, you still struggle to see the actual water level up near the window of the door, if at all. Hope this helps.

Those clunking and rattling sounds during the intermediate spins really gives off a 'cheaply made' vibe.
I thought it was just my ebac. But others too have the same complaint.
Even that plastic miele basic model which is the same price as one of these is still miles better, what a joke
