Now this is solid Platinum 19 times over. you can hear Everyone listening 2 each other. Cobhams just COBHAM he's so damn powerful and musical! A.Johnson is so tight and funky with Billy? Everyone is just so Fucking good! they take long Solo's and everyone else laid it down and still made playing The same vamp interesting by improvising over it The groove kicks ass I LOVE THIS ALBUM 😁 THIS MUSIC
Bob James - Keyboards, Electric Piano Solo, Arranger, Composer Hubert Laws - Flute Solo (1st) Stan Getz - Tenor Saxophone Solo Bobbi Humphrey - Flute Solo (2nd) Eric Gale - Electric Guitar Solo Steve Khan - Electric Guitar Alphonso Johnson - Electric Bass Billy Cobham - Drums Ralph MacDonald - Percussion
Thank you so much for posting this... I had this album... lost it in an unfortunate incident. This was my favorite somg on the whole album...... Thanks
Billy Cobham is one of THE most underrated drummers EVER! From what I know of his career, he's only performed a limited time with this assemblage. This is a very tough thing to manage. Oh, and Eric Gale is a FORCE OF NATURE!!
Man, this song takes me back to my teen years hanging out at the gym on Randolph AFB when the gym director(Pop's) threw me out for dunking.(ha) Those were the days and I still have the album.
I've always admired Stan Getz' inventiveness on this track. Thank you for posting. I, too, have been seeking a digital copy for some time (you would think the line-up alone would have warranted CDization of this album).
LOL There are two flute solos by different players , Herbert Laws as you said and Bobbi Humphrey. Alphonso Johnson on his weird electric stick .I'm putting this track on for the 4th time . Can't be bothered to get my double LPs out ! It's a killer

Wow! I never knew Billy played with Stan!
By the sounds of it we got Alphonso Johnson on the bass. Anyone to confirm?
By the look of his name on the album cover I would agree…

Are there any more live recordings of Bob James and Billy Cobham playing together? Anything. Doesn’t matter. I want to hear it.
