You all are ahead of time
Lol 09:37 sombody didn't manage to take the corner in the Background :)
What video editing program did u use to "cloud in" the back view? Cool vid by the way
Love your vid! Are your foot pegs in the Low or high position? Because you start scratching them in every single corner :-) and of course I really like the angle of the camera view. Greetings from Austria .... just another RC8R 2012 rider
Love to see the Big twins run down the i4's
Nice high quality vid. Is your HP4 faster even in a tight twisty track? I was wondering if it would have a chance to use all its top end power?
Thanks for watching. My HP4 is faster even on this twisty track but remember it has more power as well as traction control. I ride the RC8R much less aggressive and to be honest I'm not relay pushing its limits. HP4 I do low 1:10. Enjoy!
what kind of tires did you use if I may ask? Nice video though!
Alguém pode me confirmar. Esse é o mesmo motor da KTM Super Duke 1290!?
Lekker Piet. Hou hom net so!
Super bike
No quick-shifter? What's the issue with them on the RC8 engines anyway?
My has a quick shifter
Any issues? I heard the engine would fail. My ktm dealer doesn't advice it. Mind sharing your set up?
sherman han KLS quick shifter (KTM power parts), 2 x Power commanders instaled and full Acrapovic exhaust system since the bike was brand new. Today the bike has all the fearing and wheels out of carbon fibre (Acra & BST). Today 6500km on the clock most of it on the race track and the bike never used 1ml of oil or missed a single beat. Its just perfect. All mods and services done always by KTM.
Good chance it will either explode or make you a cup of coffee out the exhaust. KTMs are engineered to look good. They are pretty woolly and clumpy where it counts though. Oh and the paint falls off after 2 weeks as well.
Funny, I thought this was a video comparing these two bikes on the video game "Ride" for XBOX ONE... ;) lol
Marek you cheeky bugger ! im just reading what you crossed out ha ha
.The word is " Instructor " for that exact reason, I can follow and watch and overtake when Safe to do so without putting the customer ( yourself ) under any unnecessary or forced pressure. If we were indeed racing 1. I would be wearing full leathers and not my BMW City trousers. 2. I would have bombed you on the brakes in turns 2 / 5 / 6 or 8 and probably leaned on you in 4 ;-) ha ha !!
It was fun following though watching sparks flying off your sliders ! :-)
Ha ha ha! I didn't crossed out anything, don't know why it is crossed out ha ha ha. That was RC8R without traction control, way less power, ABS and .... First ride on the HP4 i was in 1:10s and remember I come to this track 3 times a year ONLY ;-) So this means gloves off again :-P Race days are over for me but its always nice to have some fun like we had that day. See you soon at Zwartkops.
wind noise and music dont mix
Looks like the S1000R isn't even trying to race you, cause if it was you'll be video taping it's brake lights... KTM is under powered, it's fun to ride, but not matched with the S1000R.
Kind of agree with you, I'm quicker on my HP4 (raw power) but as for the other S1000RR in the video - knowing the track (like this instructor) and overtaking someone on this short tight track is not so easy. I guess he doesn't have to much if any race experience ;-) I do 1m10.02 on a standard HP4 if you can call it standard :-P
KTM in my experience are utterly disgraceful for after sales customer care. Warranty on a new bike? Zero! I got ignored and got left with very expensive piece of junk. The RC 8 looks great and I was planning on moving up to one but I have been put off by a really bad experience from KTM.
I'm now looking at Yamaha R6. SoRRY KTM. You blew it!

Hi. That's the knee sliders not the foot pegs😜. Enjoy you RC8R!
