Having been the one and only owner of a 2014 RC8R, yes. It does seem daunting to ride the first time you get onboard, especially considering the fact that there are no electronic rider aids to help you out of a hole you could end up putting yourself into. With that being said, over time I've come to realize that it honestly doesn't need them. This bike doesn't hail from the same batch of bikes that have been made since the S1000R burst onto the scene. KTM did their homework and spent some serious R&D time to create a chassis that has all the same great characteristics of a late-00's Honda CBR600RR; namely how communicative, supple, firm and steady it is. You ride it and you realize rather quickly that this bike talks to you in plain language and tells you exactly what's happening all the time. It's the one purchase I've made in my lifetime that I can't bring myself to regret.
had all the exotics....had the first rc8r ...when you max them out your feet vibrate off the pegs....twitchy in the bends...raging bull...put me in a farmers field....got rid...got a rsv4...now that was pure love
I have a 2015 RC8R and love it.
