- Senior day is a monthly food pantry and household items give away, this is once a month for seniors only, God is so good. I'm thankful and I rejoice every day

Understand caregiving too. I am a 24/7 caregiver for my 93 year old Mom after open heart surgery for 6 years now by myself. Had open heart myself this year. God is my source. You are admired for all you do. Enjoy your haul and be blessed! 🙏😇❤️

hello ma'am, may God bless you for all that you're doing ! used to take care of my dad until his sudden passing about 6 almost 7 years ago. he was a veteran with ptsd and other health problems.
he passed in my arms and I remember that day crystal clear! really traumatic... have a son who I named after him.
I have nothing but admiration for you ! you are,an inspiration to me at least 😊please 🙏 take care
I don't think we ever get over loosing a love one, I'm happy to hear that you was able to care for ur father and not putting him in nursing home they seem to get worse and never come home. I believe it's because they don't get the care like they do at home.
It's a long hard road when caring for someone. Wilma only has two son's and othe one that see her he is dying of cancer so she has no one to look after her but me.
The other son hasn't see her in 6 yrs, that's a long story and a said one. I will continue caring for Wilma as long as I can. Not sure what will happen once her son is gone. I love her like she is my mother.

Yes the UTIs on elderly make them mean. It’s not fun. Next time it happens atleast you will know and be able to tell dr. God Bless you for taking care of Wilma. It’s a hard job and I’ve done it for years. They have a way of touching your heart for sure. ❤❤
Shelia. Wilma just doesn't think she needs help she's so use to doing for herself now she can't. She gets so mean to everyone she's hoping we will leave. Dementia is awful and she is getting worse

What a great haul. The food bank takes good care of you. I like that they give you all those toiletries and household items. Our food banks are seeing a sharp uptick in clients, so less food available.
It's happening everywhere, with the cost if food more people are turning to food pantries for extra help.

With help of food bank I started dehydrating lot's. I cut grapes in half and dry them up and when I do a fruit cookie I have what I need. It's amazing how much they give and will give lot's more fresh if you can take it before the trash.
I have never done that, guess I need to invest in a Dehydrating machine. Yes the pantry does give out a lot of fruits and vegetables

My mom & I went to the food bank yesterday and gave most of it to my mom , she's 70 . Unfortunately my food bank is very stingy about giving things away to people who really need it and that really makes me angry 😡 .
I don't understand why the pantries do that. They get so much food donated and food does go bad.

So far Wilma is doing better, but is will not drink much at all. I've been giving her lots of fruits, she love watermelon at least that gives her some liquid

The Naive body wash is just Girl Scout scented, the maker is Naive, that stuff goes for around 10.00 at Target! They say it’s really good body wash and smell!

It's so hot in Oregon and fire's so I started the crockpot up. Yep onion, carrots, hole chicken, potatoes, hole chopped garlic cloves put on top then mix up 2 1/2 cups water with 2 envelope of onion soup mix. Dump on and salt, pepper, turn on high leave for 6 to 7 hour's. Yum tender and not stuck in the kitchen.
Sandy, that sounds awesome, I think I'll bring g my crockpot to Wilma's this week and fix a pot of that to eat on for a few days.

Round steak makes great Swiss steak!! Most people make theirs with brown gravy but I don’t mine is tomato based! If you’d like I could tell to just ask.

Great haul but I feel not as much as I’ve seen before. It’s the shortages going around and the prices!!! I try to buy a little extra but lately it a no go! Get some rest and take more breaks for YOU! Not the yard or house just you take a break!!
I definitely need a long break. And yes all pantries aren't getting much food, but did notice more and more people are using food pantries for extra help.

Does Wilma eat grapes Belinda? A great way to get enough fluids is through fruit, especially watermelon. That coleslaw dressing looks good. How are you eating since you spend so much time at Wilma's? I want you to look after yourself. Does she not have any family Belinda???
Tes you are right, Wilma love watermelon so she is eating lots of fruits. I have been cooking, some and my sister Cindy cooks so we are eating. Wilma has two sons, one doesn't come around hasn't in 5 yrs, and the other comes everyday to bring her the paper, He. can't do much because he has oral cancer and only a few months to live. He refuses surgery so I'm helping him aswell when I'm not with Wilma meeting hospice nurse once a week. I take him food that he can eat. Wilma doesn't know he is sick. I think what will end him is taking all the pain meds. My heart goes out to him I worry what will happen to Wilma if he goes before her. Please keep them both in prayers.
