As an Aussie I thought all these tunes were played up in the mountains. We have visited the US several times but never that area and would be great to experience this live. Last October we came home from Puerto Escondido Mexico and visited San Antonio for 3 days . Beautiful part of the world but did not have a car. Great playing and dancing...thankyou
That is an old, old timey Texas fiddle tune played here as it was meant to be played. I have several mandolin versions as well, but this is indeed the best fiddle version I have heard. Classic.
Very good👏 I'm an expert on listening to this song. When CD players first came out in cars and my daddy realized that just hitting the back button would play the song again, oh boy. 😨 As a vet with 30 yr in the USAF he had his health care at BAMC is San Antonio, 45 minute drive for us. We listened to Ragtime Annie all the way there and back! So, with the song inhabiting it's section in my brain, I must say you did a very good, no , an excellent job.
@@eldonmantha2166 I don't know about 'better', exactly, but quite as good to say the least: Daniel Carville. He is the master at improvisation when it comes to this kind of tune.
The ignorance displayed in some of the comments is just amazing, not to mention the self-serving nature of the title of this video. Sorry, but some of you people need to check out fiddlers like Clark Kessinger, Fiddlin' Arthur Smith et al. Btw, there is a third part of Ragtime Annie, in the key of G, which you would think the "world's best version" would include.
Excellent!!! Love the fiddle improvisation. She gets hot on that fiddle and is thrilling to hear. Well done!
Catie made Annie her own, great licks on the fiddle. Such a great video to see and hear, many thanks.
Let's see a little more clogging
This song is beautiful. The harmonies are excellent but I hope you do more like this
very good. beautiful area.

Where Texas type fiddle is concerned, maybe you haven't heard Daniel Carville.
That WAS the best Ragtime Annie I’ve ever heard! It makes me want to change mine!
Take a look at The Goodbye Girls' version, available here on UA-cam. I think it's better.
Wow! She played it like reel!
A fresh , jazzy swing arrangement of an old time fiddle tune. I love it.
World's Best.. I'll go with that! Nicely done. Outstanding Dancer.. and Great guitar, by the way.
Best I’ve heard
So much fun to watch and listen ❤

Just my opinion, but this video and quite a few others abuse the word 'best'. Why not settle for good or very good. Pardon me for being a literalist.

Also Daniel Carville (contemporary, on UA-cam). And yeah I miss the third part.
