Holy christ I just remembered that gura is a popular mascot for hololive in Japan.
Even who dont watch her streams will still recognize her.
It's ironic, considering she doesn't speak much if any Japanese, which is unusual among EN Hololive.

The English --> Japanese translation channels keep Japanese fans of Gura satiated.
Even as an english speaker, my work prevents me from attending almost all of Gura's streams. So my primary way of keeping up with my oshi is through similar clip channels.
Kinda like Korone or Subaru over here; we know them from the viral memes and gifs, but only the bilingual superfans are watching them (and translating clips for the rest of us). Hololive has this shit figured out.
