  • On our third day at Naches we decided to mix things up and try out a brand new rock crawling trail. We were told the trail was a 13-14 hardness and only for 4 wheel steering rock buggies.........so we decided to take the leaf spring Toyota and some Drag axle buggies in to give it a try!

After these past few trips, wheeling at home is going to be boring for you now. Might have to start using the cheapfinder so it seems more extreme.haha

And there's another spot there at Moon that I've peaked at and haven't driven into also... For next time 😁

Its definitely worth a look, I wish we kept going, it looked just insane further up but we had a pretty big group at that time so decided against it!

Gotta say, am impressed w/ those Nitto's as well. W/ all your exposure to this lifestyle, may I ask...what kinda rig would be your dream rig; and I do know from previously, how important axle width is to your terrain? But feel your near to an expert on what works and what...well, just does not cut the mustard! Not everywhere is going to be sandpaper, but do love shackle-flip leaf type stuff!

Dream rig no question is what they call a "Red Dot Car" they were built by a guy that has since passed away so they're rare and hard to find but he built them with a sort of "no expense spared" attitude. There is no perfect all around rig tho, the Red Dot cars are worth $200-$250k USD so thats a sort of "if I won the lotto" car. Otherwise I honestly really like Johnny5's transaxle car for 1/10th that price. One day I'll build something similar because the whole budget, bang for your buck wheeling really appeals to me.
As for width, we're not competing so its less of a worry, its nice to be wider because youre more stable, as long as you can fit between the trees (with when you have 4steer car is less of an issue anyways). The Pathmaker is the width I like, oneton size, Toy axles are too skinny but getting into the f450 "super60's" are really wide (like Karls rig)!

@@PathmakerProductions J5's car is cool, see what I can find on the RDC's just for fun. Really like the Tea-mobile as well. Anyway, thanks for the geat 4th weekend coverage.

The RDC's are somewhat hard to find, they have a very noticeable door bar to make it easier to get in and out. But they were built with zero options, you got what Kevin gave you, and what he gave was, 50* steering spider trax axles, 42" BFGs, LSX engine with 500+hp, 6L80, Atlas....only the best and most expensive parts and they were just amazing machines! You can see one in action driven by the man himself at 0:50 of this video: ua-cam.com/video/6l5lBhlBw04/v-deo.html
