Are you team affordable, luxury or both like me? I'll always cherish drugstore makeup as it has been my main makeup for many years. Since being on UA-cam, I've tried some luxury makeup because I want to compare and share dupes and alternatives for all of you. I'd love to hear your makeup story in the comments below!
The only high end makeup I splurge on is Estee Lauder Double Wear. I still have oily skin and live in a humid climate. In addition, I am super fair skinned. Their Alabaster foundation is light enough for me.
But otherwise, I'm about the dupes. If I splurge on something else, it's fragrance.
Several years ago I used only high end foundations. I have found that drugstore or affordable foundations can look and petform as well as high end at a much lower price. I appreciate these types of videos!
I'm totally drug store. Today's available options are so good.
I have some high end hair products that are completely worth it. I use a mixture of drug store and high end in my hair products.
I use the majority of drugstore products, along with a few Merle Norman products! Love the drugstore videos!

I use drug store products because that's what is in my budget and I've used drug store since I started using makeup. I do plan on splurge on at least one high end make up.

Hi Laura! I’m 59 like you, have hooded, deep crease eyes also. I like learning your technique to putting on makeup. Especially the eyes. I thought this drugstore look was better on you. I just started wearing sunscreen about 1 years ago I live in NH and when you get the sun, you get out into it! I have several videos to catch up on. I mix both high end and affordable on a daily basis. Some products are just worth the splurge and some drugstore products are amazing and better than the high end. It just depends on what it is. Great video as always. ❤

I use a mixture of both drug store and higher end …always EL Doublewear foundation because I’ve spent a small fortune on drugstore foundations that never work for me so I gave up trying, but I use drugstore bronzers and blushes, and Tarte or Wet and Wild eyeshadow palettes.
Your drugstore makeup looks so fresh, like you just applied it, after your long day. Impressive!
I use Charlotte Tilburys setting spray also. Makeup comes off of my nose where my sunglasses sit. Does that happen to you? I can't tell if it's any better than an Elf setting spray I use also.
Both high end and drugstore makeup looks great!
I have had trouble with my makeup wearing off where my sunglasses sit. Setting spray has changed that. ❤️❤️

Self employed and current economy 😳 has me using CVS everything! And I am just as happy as when I wore $60 Chanel Aqua luminere !! I'm 71 so always looking for sheer coverage( CoverGirl Skin Milk ❤) to get exact color match sometimes I mix 2 shades

your eye make up looks great think I will have to quit shadow as when I go back and forth my skin stays all wrinkle looking ,wonder if cream shadow would be better ?or none

The big difference I see is the high end make up, the lips look much better. Maybe it's the primer, or the color of the lipstick? I think both looks were very similar. In Phoenix, we went from 50s and 60s to 90s, but it's not humid...yet. That comes with monsoon season.

I am obsessed with the Avon glimmer eyeliners.! They are all I use . Bought several colors and keep them in my makeup bag for work!! I am back in to Avon lately! They are having a big deal on the makeup next campaign! 2.99 or 3 .99 on the glimmer sticks! I am getting all the colors and some back ups lol ❤ love ur videos ❤

Suggestion, when you put the concealer on your right eye to brighten it up, I wanted to see the one I done and then the other I wasn’t done to compare. But you went too quick.!!

I spray setting spray on a sponge and press it over my face. I started doing this during the pandemic when we had to wear masks to stop my makeup coming off on the inside of the mask and it worked!

Is it just me or did Laura look better in the green top than in the blue top? I felt like the green top just made her look fresher or more energised? I’m not sure of the right word. But when she popped on with the green top on my first thought was WOW she looks great. Even though she didn’t change a single thing with the makeup.
I only use budget makeup because that’s what my budget dictates but in all honesty I couldn’t see a difference on Laura at all. She looked great in both.

I find with the Essence brow it gets dry after a few hours on my brows starts flaking off.

It is difficult to match everything perfectly. I did the best I could. The lighting was exactly the same. I didn’t move the lights. I didn’t intentionally change the smile. I just thought it would be fun to do an entire look of each to do the best comparison as possible.❤️

Think a great idea for a video would be about reminding us to toss old cosmetics and hair products ( yep shampoo and conditioner does expire!), I spent 2 hours one afternoon on the check fresh site and had a whole trash can full of products I had that were extremely old…we all tend to forget how much time has passed by since buying things! Products don’t last forever.
