- I'm really happy with how the footage turned out, the @DZOFILM lenses paired with @NanliteGlobal lights made everything look so cinematic!

Amazing Alexandru! You got a new follower from Miami, FL. If you can at some point, I would like to ask you your WB set up on camera and the key lights as well. It seems 5600 on the Nanlite, but the final edit looks warmer. So to achieve that you have to put your WB on camera in 2800-3200? Thank so much in advance, I have seen all your videos. Really great stuff!!!

Thank you! I didn’t use the promist because we used haze and since we are talking about a jewellery commercial we wanted to have a crispy and clean image to reflect the quality of the brand.
What kind of external monitor did you use? Just curious.

Is this better than the pocket ??? I am considering switching to the ZCam
The f6 is a full frame camera so it has different benefits than pocket 6k for example but you can make amazing footage with any camera out there right now, the key is lighting
@@AlexDon indeed so, couldn’t be more true. Lighting is key.
@@AlexDon bit the reason I would consider switching it’s not the image only, also the ergonomics, and modular design, the mount and many more. I don’t like the mount on the pocket 6 K, I think they should’ve put an RF mount, that way you could adapt any lens, or make it interchangeable like the ZCam and UMP

The whole film comes together because of the emotional connection for mother and child. You've brought that out with beautiful lighting and camera angles, well done! I've just brought a, E2F6 and can't wait to capture moments scubas you've created.
What..your handheld walking shot is like gamble shot. I beleive this camera does not even have ibis.
haha thanks! Yeah this camera has no ibis and it's way more shaky than other cameras like the Sony Fx9 or Komodo. Probably the biggest weakness of Zcam F6 is it's slow rolling shutter that make jello pretty visible :(

I shot everything in H265 6k 48 fps and to be honest zcam is great but If you are looking for an s35 camera I would rather go with the pocke 6k pro.

Amazing work. Can you use the pictor zooms with the fx9 or fx6? i bought the fx6 yesterday and i intended on buying the dzo zoom lens set for my ursa g2 but thats a s35 sensor so i dont know if this would work with the full frame of the fx9 or fx6
It will work, but make sure to have the proper converter for the fx6 since sigma mc11 does not fit the pictor zooms

Thanks a lot, yeah you are right, that's why the final version of this commercial has 15 seconds and has sound design and voiceover, but the voiceover is in my native language and had no point on posting it right here. I left this one longer so we can analyse it from a cinematography point.

wow, you manual focused by hand without even a focus puller. will that introduce some jitter or shake? Is that Zcam of the full frame or super35 version because the lens is only super35.
Is this quality only attainable with cinema lenses or something similae can be done with sigma art or ef lenses?
It’s all about lighting and scenography, lenses and cameras are just tools
I want to buy the dzofilm pictor zooms too. But i have a fullframe camera. Does these lenses work with fullframe camera or do you have vignette on the footage
I used these lenses on a Zcam E2-F6 which is a FF camera and has one of the biggest sensors out there and I did not cropped the footage on this one. Of course there is a little bit of vignette but very minimal with the wider lens and a little bit more with the 50-125 but very minimal to be honest

Wow the lighting on her skin looks so good! Did you have a zone for her to move so it wouldn't get to harsh? Like all around 1meter distance is at f2.8 and beyond that point is f4?
Thanks a lot Chris, since my source was small it was easy to isolate the light where I wanted and as you see the subject isn't moving that much and therefore I managed to get perfect lighting on her.
You're welcome buddy. Ah ok I always imagined it would be harder to get the lighting right with smaller lights instead of just flooding in light with bigger sources.

Excellent video BTS, thanks. My comments are few. 1) The window blind with the child looked a bit too harsh and I would have softened the color of them a bit to more match the mood of the piece. 2) Not sure if you did the editing but some of the hand movements looked unnatural to me. Just a bit out of place. However I love the look you achieved with the video...great job.
