Thanks for posting these videos, after 6 months of my toilet tilting from a bolt coming loose and someone installing multiple pieces of osb for a subfloor from a previous fix I bit the bullet and tore into mine knowing I'd have to cut the toilet flange with a cutting disk because I had replaced a 25 yr old toilet 2 years ago and installed one of those stainless flange adapters to hold the toilet down, your videos gave me the courage and knowledge to tear out the subfloor, cut the flange, replace flooring, install a pvc flange that fit inside the old iron pipe and reinstall the toilet. No issues now. But this experience still doesn't want me to change my electrician career to be a plumber anytime soon haha. Keep the videos coming and thanks again!

Why did you not clean the area under the new flange a bit more before putting the new flange in.?

    Hello Steven
Just watching your video from here in Great Britain over here we don't use rags to block up pipe from getting debris down pipe we use expanding rubber stoppers different sizes according to pipe size suggestion when soldering why not use flame retardants matting between pipe and wall love video,s make good watching keep up good work

That was literally a total masterpiece. Not many would have been able to secure that flange in those conditions, without really fixing anything around.

I have to tell you that I have washed hundreds of these videos and I'm a 57 year old never mess with plumbing before but my ex broke in and tried to fix the toilet and just bring it to where I had sewer flies so bad it let me know I had to do something so I even bought a new toilet replaced it but I couldn't have done it without your video this one specifically so thank you also I like it when your phone keeps ringing and you say it's just too bad I thought I was the only one LOL

I would consider this a good repair but I do not understand why you did not clean the area with a vacuum or similar before proceeding to put the PVC down? Just thoughts, no demeanor. I guess it is also amazing how some people take care of things an live.

Even inside of a shit hole.. Damm break out the shop VAC.. .. unfortunately we plumbers must clean up the mess before installing anything.. ,, definitely a rental typical situation here.. but leaving your mark and being a professional is a good idea for myself I believe.. clearly the area is a mess and the floor is a disaster.. but I myself would have parked a Cadillac upon it, regardless,, rental properties with cheap ass slumlords are always non desired jobs but still welcome by myself.. what a train wreck place, but just do it, cannot pick and choose jobs.. thanks again for your work and message..
