- This Bible study devotional covers Leviticus chapter 25. Here we learn about the Sabbatical year and the Year of Jubilee. These mega-Sabbath rest years were meant to be times of freedom, cancelation of debt, and fresh starts for the people of Israel and their land.
As always, we are committed to showing you how Jesus fulfills these specific passages. In Leviticus 25, we see that Jesus brings the final and full Year of Jubilee, called the Year of the Lord's Favor, in this death, burial, and resurrection.

The Year of Jubilee: The Return of Christ Jesus
Leviticus 25:8-10
8 And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years.
9 Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.
10 And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubilee unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.
In the year of Jubilee, the captives are set free. Israel will be freed from the bondage and persecution they endured since 70 AD. After 70 prophetic years of captivity in Babylon, Christ will free them on the Day of Atonement of the Jubilee year, and return Israel to Jerusalem and every other man back to their land which matches the description of the Jubilee year.
Jeremiah 29:12-14
12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
14 And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.
Isaiah 13:12-14
12 I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.
13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.
14 And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up: they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land.
The year of Jubilee is a year of rest. The millennial reign is the rest promised in Hebrews 4 for the people of God. The Sabbath foreshadows this rest because the millennial reign will be during the seventh thousand year of man or the seventh day (the Sabbath) since a thousand years is as a day to God (2 Peter 3:8).
2 Peter 3:10
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
The day of the Lord, which is the Father’s kingdom, comes as a thief in the night. The kingdom of God is the Father’s kingdom not the Son’s. In the kingdom of God, all are spirits because flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God.
No man knows that day or hour of the Father’s return, but we know when Christ will return because at His return, he will restore the kingdom to the children of Israel, return every man to their own land, establish peace, and give His people rest.
Matthew 24:35-36
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Luke 21:31
31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
Heaven and Earth will pass away on the 8th day in the Father’s kingdom. The day or hour of heaven and earth passing away in Matthew 24:35-36 can only be in the Father’s kingdom. The old earth and heaven will be here during the millennial reign of Jesus Christ. At the end of the millennium the Son of man, Jesus, will return in His full glory which he had with His Father at the beginning of the creation. Flesh and blood cannot see God in His full glory which is why on Mt. Sinai, He had to shield Moses’ eyes or seeing God would kill him and is why Jesus can’t be in His full glory while on Earth. (Exodus 33:20-23 20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. 21 And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: 22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: 23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.) New Jerusalem comes down from heaven after the White Throne Judgment in Revelation 20.
Revelation 21:1-4
1And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Jesus’ first coming was to prepare His people for the Father’s kingdom, New Jerusalem--the promise to all those who worship and keep His commandments which are also the Father’s commandments.

Glorious - Christ, the initiator of the true Jubilee! This sent chills down my back. So good.
Not many people see the jubile in Luke 4:18, 19. You are blessed. So, the Lord Jesus came and brought atonement on the 80th jubile, and will come again on the 120th Jubile to fufill the end times, beginning 7 years after the solar eclipse of April 8, 2024, which is the 1st of Nisan. The 1st of Nisan 7 years later is March 24, 2031. Meaning the year of the jubile proclaimed on the day of atonement.
God has been impressing me the year 2024 and I never knew what it was until I read Leviticus.. turns out it will be my 7th year since I became a Christian!
I am seeing Pastor that the Jubilee year of the Philippines is the great Jubilee. Spain brought Catholism in the Philippine islands in 1521 and the whole archipelago was a majority catholic Christians until now. After 490 years (Daniel 9:24) under Catholism majority the birth of the Jubilee came 2012 and then from that moment Philippines slowly change. The Philippines suddenly changing and majority united to vote for a better president. The yellow party who was the tyrant holding the Philippines is slowly getting off from their evil desire to destroy the Philippines by their corrupt mind and not caring for the Filipinos. There is power or like purging fire in the Philippines and I see its because the change of dimension due to the Jubilee amend that had been set by God makes the evil go down. I see 2023 will be a great one. The implementing of the new Jerusalem. To cut the stor short i see that the Jubilee year of the Philippines is the mystery of Christ second appearing (Isaiah 46:11, 49:1, Jeremiah 31:10, Isaiah 62:11) and many more

The problem is, there is no record of the Year Of Jubilee ever occurring. Certainly not in the Old Testament. It turns out that the concept of a Jubilee year was mere wishful thinking by Hebrews who at that time were in captivity under the Babylonians and the Persians. Just more B.S. from the Bible.
Also, Jesus never freed a single slave. Stop lying.

I wish Jesus helped the poor 😥

Jesus does help the poor! He helped all people when he died on the cross, like they were talking about in this video! There are many times in which Jesus tells us to help the poor, Matthew 6:1-4, Proverbs 14:31, Deuteronomy 15:7-8, and many, many more verses, like literally so many (truly just google verses about Jesus helping the poor or verses about helping the poor). God loves all people, this includes the poor! This video was partially about how much God cares for the poor, he is looking out for them through his law and commands. But what this video is majorly about his how Jesus freed us from our debt to death, and so because of that your material wealth on earth does not matter because a time is coming when when we will be taken home, to the new heaven where Jesus is preparing a place for us!
Money means nothing. God will provide for those with faith. Keep the faith my friend, Jesus wins, it’s already over, our life on Earth is short!
