Started with Gwent today and was desperately looking for a deck to start with since i have 20k scraps from start. This one seemed cool so i built it. So far so fun. And now i even understand how to play this correctly .D will come back to this channel thanks :)
I remember a lot of people saying that NG got the worst cards on your reveal video, now I laugh at them with my “every time you play a cultist boost self by 7” bronzes and 30 points a turn
you should have seen all the reddit frogs man, its actually funny how much they complained before even seeing the cards in action.

Well well Thea, congratulations for testing this deck on Day 1, i admit that i was a little skeptic about this scenario and heard a lot of rants about NG being powercrept...etc.. ..BUT i think you showed perfectly that is better to wait and see before judging. Good Job Beasty!
Funny thing, the monsters scenarios can be triggered simultaniously. Werecat and penitent both have thrive AND Deathwish.
In a double-spell-event It would be theoretically possible to play both of them in one turn (Oneiromancy) and go through all chapters on the next (whispering hillock)
Havent played gwent for a few years. Been mostly watching some youtube videos from time to time and I absolutely love your channel!
I thought I knew how gwent works, but throughout this video, I had no idea what was going on haha. This expansion definitely spiced things up!

Btw if you infuse a bronze with the new 4p cultist and then pass the infusion to a gold with van moorlahem servant you can get access to a lot of cards from the opponent .
how to win with this deck:
>you never draw Jan Calveit R1 or R2 so you miss your golds
>your opponent heatwaves your eternal eclipse so then your cultists are all useless
>forfeit
Funny. Made a very similar deck today.
So many players complained about the new NG cards and especially the low number of cultist’s. I was sure that you can create sufficient of them. And yes it’s absolutely not an issue to get two gold cultist’s. Most probably this is the most flexible of all new scenarios. You can easily combine it with different NG archetypes. Strongest combo might be with Ball but Assimilate or Soldiers should also work.
PS: First game when the new season started? Opponent played Mill. How degenerated you must be to play Mill on patch day?
you probably didn't even play it, a heatwave can silent this deck easily. NG cards are the worst in this new release

@@ProxyBro Didn’t face many Heatwaves on Patchday and I‘ve two scenarios. So it worked quite well. Also the Van Morlehem‘s did a really good job in my games.
Today I farmed hard, just to gain enough resources for it. Thanks for this one.

tried it but due to lack of card draw i am not having that good games tbh. Often times i dont get the right scenario in R1 one, or dont draw them at all etc.
Hell, the amazing concept of deck. Wish I would have the resources for it. :(
To be honest, I faced 4-5 enemies today playing exactly your deck and I always won with my version. I use the cultist scenario, Renfri and have 26 cards in my deck. The thing is I play as much thinning as I can in Round 1, which is actually comparable to playing a scenario round 1. and for Round 3 i have my cultists and Renfri ready.
This deck looks wild, can't wait to try it out. Thanks for the useful guide as ever too! :)
Haven't see much of the black sun expansion but this cultist archetype seems a bit op. It's like thrive but on steroids. Leave 2 o 3 units unchecked and then they can grow freaking big
Sometimes, but not only can your opponent counter you, but you can counter yourself by playing cultists wrong or two early/soon. Or you just brick them.
This deck is so much fun if you do both scenarious at the last round.
And if they don't get heatwaved haha.

I just like to trigger both of scenarious at the same time with cultist artistorcrats.
By the way what do you think about Kahyr in this deck ?
So I've made a enslave cultists deck with still using both scenarios and still able to capitalize on using tactic cards and so far its working out. I can't get as much cultists as I'd like to but I gotta use this special ability for a challenge but so far so good.
3 wins 1 loss so far with it lol. Surprised the leader ability still kinda goes good with it. Definitely be better using a different ability but not bad
Man I was wrong to hate on NG in your earlier vid, this deck is strong. Maybe adding ultra chad Cahir can help because there are so many decks with boosts in this patch. Also looking forward for the release of your book!

Hey there, the deck you are showing at the start is a little bit different than the one you play in the games? For example no Jan Calveit in the start of the video but you got him in the deck later on.
Hey, so I exchanged Calveit for defender. You can use both, so I left in both matches to see the difference.

I JUST got into Gwent like a week ago. Love it, monster faction, all about the death triggers. I'm trying to branch out into another faction, I like the coin idea with the syndicate but never see them played? Do they suck? Keeping track of coins and what my opponents doing seems like alot. The viking faction looks fun too, love bears
Syndicate is the most difficult faction! A lot of coin management and what not. Skellige is also a very fun faction. A lot of bears indeed haha.
@@theabeasty Thats that I got into! I had a rare-choice between like the best viking card and the best bear, and went with the bear lol even though it's worse card Im makin a bear deck
i was saving up around 53 barrels till im lvl 60, so glad i did, i was able to craft or obtain the new cards i wanted and even some expensive premium ones! im glad i can watch this video to know what to do with them now XD
First gj on making this deck its seems very good and strong but its kind annoying to play against it every single time. My matchups are full of this deck.Its very frustrating to play 7 times against this deck in row and than 1 monster faction deck or SK and than again 7 times againts this deck which is really strong btw.Anyway GG very nice deck.Love ur content.Keep up good work😊
Great deck good fun, but very inconsistent got close to rank 2 then lost 3l4 on the bounce because of the draw and getting the wrong cards, this was the defender way might try calveat way
The eternal eclipse chapter 1 is too OP and basically if you play renfri, you'll get wrecked cause you can't have heatwave...
beatification is a must now
You can fit heatwave in a Renfri deck easily by running 26 cards. Also if your deck is removal heavy you can kill the cultist before they get the bonus.
That artwork is the only thing OP. What a beautifull expansion.
Tried out this one, it's pretty bad - no tactics mean never draw Calveit R1, Calvein being randomly infused with gold cultist makes MC bad because you don't play Calveit in the same round as scenario, draw dependant fiesta of whether you find the scenario + procs for it in R1 decides whether you win the match. I had much more fun with double scen SY than this deck
same experience, there is no consistency as you dont have drawing cards nor thinning tools at all.
@theabeasty how do you deal with both scenarios on the bottom of your deck? Also how is maxii going to help you more than Calvert?

So finally tried your exact deck set up and I got absolutely destroyed by a SYN firestorm swarm deck. Lmao. Will try it again cause 1st and 3rd round my hand drawings were ass and only won 2nd round from having a good set up. So not blaming the deck yet. But gwent likes to fuck me all the time when it comes to drawing cards.
I don't have much scraps, should i build this deck?! Or wait to see more options! MO also seems devastating.

What is the ideal strategy for round one if you don't draw masquerade ball? As I don't draw it very often.
Normally I just play my bronzes then. Worst case is that they bleed you, but at least you can try and outpoint with Ball then in round 2/3.
what did you put instead of calveit?
This deck is really fun. I hope they buff cultists or Ball next patch. Edit: I refuse to use Renfri. Renfri is meant for degenerates.

Replacing Calveit with a defender, what would you recommend swapping in the deck since it gives you an extra provision?
I tried to do this but i enjoyed playing it with Calveit more
@@mrorlov2706 I think it will depend on what becomes meta, calveit helps with consistency which it needs but defender is needed if they heatwave otherwise you cant keep up easily. Maybe there's a way to fit both in
I replaced squirrel with Maxii for more consistency :)
No drawing cards means no consistency which ultimately makes this deck useless 80% of the time

Try it. You'd be surprised. I had little to no problems. Blightmaker and maxii is enough.

But yeah, this deck is quite awesome.. I wil add I probably am making a bunch of mistakes.. And I lost to Harmony, cause I had a bad hand and they pushed me having to waste my scenario in round 2.. but otherwise it has been doing pretty good so far.. :D
