The STIHL SHA 140 is our first cordless vacuum shredder in the STIHL AP System of battery tools. Designed for professional use, the STIHL SHA 140 is comparable in power to our petrol SH 86 vacuum shredder and is ideal for collecting large volumes of fallen leaves, grass and hedge clippings.
It’s quick and easy to remove the collection bag and suction tube on this cordless leaf shredder vacuum without tools, so you can clean it or clear blockages in no time, and it has a metal mulching blade to significantly reduce the volume of any debris that has been collected.
The STIHL SHA 140 cordless vacuum shredder also has a boost function when maximum power is needed. To activate it, pull the throttle trigger all the way in and hold it in the position highlighted in the video. Then, when you don’t need maximum power, you can extend the battery life by using it at the normal power level.
The collection bag has a 55-litre capacity and is vented in a way that helps to deliver constant suction power, regardless of the fill level or the degree of dust and dirt in the bag. The shape of the collection bag is designed for quick and complete emptying, and it features robust metal buckles.
The STIHL SHA 140 cordless leaf vacuum mulcher is suitable for use in all weather conditions, even when it’s raining, and it’s quiet so you won’t need to wear ear defenders with it either. You can also use it with the STIHL Smart Connector 2 A, a small device that records the working time and operating speed of the tool. This information is sent via Bluetooth to the STIHL Connected App, where it can be synced to a maintenance schedule. For large fleets of battery or petrol tools, STIHL Connected offers a smart and streamlined way of ensuring all tools are kept in great condition.

With the recommended STIHL AP 300 S battery, the working time is up to 60 minutes, depending on the material being shredded. This also gives you great balance on the tool to make it easy to manoeuvre around obstacles over extended periods.

Hi there, the SHA 140 is exclusively a vacuum shredder. It cannot be converted into a blower in the same way the SHA 56 can.
The specifications of the SHA 140 are:
