Nice video. To the point and very clear. I have the older model with the backpack. Its a pain to move around in the trees. They finaly made something simpler. 👍
Wow 🤩 never mind the Christmas list, I want one now please. My elderly, very small arthritic hands are itching to grab one of these puppies and get out there. How lucky that I bought the hedgecutter during the summer so already have the battery and charger 🤣Great demo of what will be a well used addition to my garden tool bag.
I was a doubter, i didn’t they’d be quick or capable of cutting decent sized stuff. How wrong I was, very impressed. Happy to see they use an external battery
I’ve got einhell ones of those the battery is a lot higher but they’re brilliant. Do the batteries last long? The hand saw literally runs them out in five mins which is pretty crap.
I love the gta26 and just ordered the Asa 20 bare unit as I have got loads of batteries from the gta 26. Looking forward to the new pruners as I have the Bosch assist but weakness in my left hand now makes it hard to use the Bosch.
Magic, looks good. I do a lot of apple and fruit trees, by the end of the pruning season, I feel like my arm is broken. Stihl promo video says these are targeted at homeowners. Does it feel like it's heavy duty commercial kit? Would it last a couple of weeks of full time use? I guess if it only lasts a season, it's not all that expensive to chuck it and buy another one.
Nice! You can obviously buy it as a kit or use the battery off of your GTA26 to run it and purchase it as a unit only. Let us know if you do get one, be interesting to hear how you get on 👍👍
Just bought these today after seeing your review. The manual shows you how to replace the blades, but stihl don't sell them???have you any idea why not ?
It would probably be available through a dealer as a spare part rather than a whole good. If you contact a Stihl dealer they will be able to get them for you.
I have the DeWalt 18/20 volt version , use them often , takes the same batteries as the pole saw and all the other gear I have from them . I love my Stihl chainsaws and brushcutter but they are two stroke . Too late now for me to consider another battery platform .
Thanks Gordon. Yes sometimes it makes sense to stick with a brand if you have the batteries already. But then if you love STIHL then its the only option 😉
There's pros and cons to each, whether you are old and have arthritis or not. I've switched over to mainly using electric secateurs after 20 years of using Felcos, after hundreds of thousands of cuts I wish id done it sooner. I mainly only use Felco snips for more detailed work like deadheading , outside of that I find electric secateurs better in almost every way including speed to regular secateurs, they also replace loppers on some cuts.
@@MachineryNation Oh I guess so but unless PPE includes a chainmail glove I doubt protective clothing will do much. The ASA 20 is a very cool little machine. I think I'll buy one to complement our GTA26
"you wouldn't dream of doing these cuts with manual secateurs".......not true, I have some really cheap Chinese manual ratchet secateurs, they'd make those cuts no problem at all. They only cost about £6 too.
They are awesome, love mine 🙂👍
Hey Jason good to hear from you. Thanks for letting us know how you are getting on with your pair 👌
Hi Josh, Good tool just hold the button and it cuts it for you, I like it great review, catch you soon, Take care
Hey Shaun hope alls well. Thanks for watching! Josh
A very good Tuesday evening to you all from Wellington Somerset
Good Evening from across the border, thanks for watching the video 👍
Nice video.

Thank you 🙌🏻
Hi Josh Nice one be interesting to see a comparison with other makes Thanks again
Hi Darron thanks for your message. Any brands you would like to see a comparison against? 😊
@@MachineryNation Thanks know idea see a few commenters suggesting other brands
I've got the DeWalt ones amazing bit of kit after seeing your review on them
would love to see compared to Bosch Pro that looks VERY similar

@@PamBarker-tr3xy great news Pam. Thank you 👍🏼
Looks good, might have to get myself some of those 👍
Hey Jim thanks for watching! Let us know if you do get a pair
Mine is absolutely Fantastic bought it for pruning bamboo Effortless
Great product and review guys✂️👍🏼
Thankyou for watching 😊
At last I can bin my normal secateurs and get a battery one looks a good product
😅 Guarantee you wouldnt go back to hand secateurs if you had a pair of these 👍
I was a doubter, i didn’t they’d be quick or capable of cutting decent sized stuff. How wrong I was, very impressed. Happy to see they use an external battery
Hey Al, I must admit I was suprised myself! I didnt think it would handle the large stuff either. Both dry and green. Cheers for watching! Josh
These things remind me of the Skutters from Red Dwarf.
Hahaha yep!
Do these fit in a normal secateurs pouch? Dont want to pick them off the floor all the time.
This is very much a Stihl version of the Milwaukee M12 pruning shears in the way it operates! Not bad Stihl!
More refined for sure
Can the blade cycle counter be re-set or does it just keep building up over the tool’s life

Thanks for watching. you wont be dissapointed with the secateurs. they are a great tool
I'd be wary of cutting off fingers, but that's a pretty awesome looking tool! Thanks for sharing 👍 😊
Always advise wearing a decent pair of gloves 😅
That’s the thing that puts me off getting one. I’ve had too many near misses with normal ones. Don’t think gloves would make a bit of difference.
Interesting
Thanks for watching!
Just the thought of a slip of the hand and getting your finger 👉
Great tool.
It would hurt! 😅

I know what I’m getting next and judging by the thickness of what it can cut , it would save my gta26 a lot of work 👍

How does it compare to the Dewalt?

I have another make, but they are great. other makes are available, have a look before purchasing
👍👍 We may do a comparison video shortly between the other makes on the market. Thanks for watching

Looks a lot like the Bosch pro pruner
How does it stack up against the Milwaukee M12?
Yes indeed, I really love my M12 pruning shears!
@@txvet7738 , was thinking about getting a pair, as my M12 Hatchet has been excellent!
@@tgsgardenmaintenance4627 I love my hatchets too, but for the little stuff, I’m so glad I splurged for the pruning shears as well!
We will do a comparison very shortly showing any differences 👍👍
WORX Accu snoeischaar Nitro WG330E.9 20V
A bit cruel of James to just give you this to finish off all those rushes around the field.
How did you know what we are filming next? 😅
Great if you're old and have arthritis etc.
Would be alot quicker with a decent pair of Felcos though 😂

Lol, of course these aren't available in the US
In the us I thought you did as this gardening guide shows ua-cam.com/video/XZ-EOg38t1o/v-deo.html
It would be best to be careful using this machine. Keep fingers away from the blades.
Certainly want to be wearing the correct PPE 👍 Thanks for watching!

I don't think you saved much time there
