Yes the whole of KL and even the whole of Malaysia is on cheap sale now. That is why it is real value for money for foreigners to spend their high value currency here.
Been saying for years that KL is the most bang for the buck when it comes to affordability and standard of living. KL is just a good as Singapore but a fraction of the price
As I check the internet, the Malaysian housings, rent or buy are much more favourable than in Thailand. Accommodation and cost. I guess foreigners coming better around with English conversation in Kuala Lumpur. Have a fine impression with my some time ago at both cities. For retirement move, I've more confidence to move to Kuala Lumpur for several reasons. Appreciate any advice or information. Martin
As long as you are not Paid in Ringgit. As they say there is 2 types of foreigners in Malaysia, one gets paid in US dollars but work and live in Malaysia..and love seeing their money get stronger as the Ringgit falls. The other is paid in Local Ringgit and when they try to send money back home to their own country they see their income gets smaller as the Ringgit falls.
It is true that Kuala Lumpur might be less expensive for foreigners than other Southeast Asian cities, especially for those whose main source of income is in foreign currencies. But for those of us who get paid in Ringgit, Kuala Lumpur might not be as a cheap city as it was a few years ago. This is because, in comparison to other major currencies and our neighbours' currencies, ours is comparatively weaker. Salary increases don't keep up with the cost of goods. Malaysia yet attracts a large number of foreign workers in Southeast Asia in spite of all of these. Malaysians are generally quite kind and welcoming, even though it could cause us a lot of inconvenience in competing with foreign workers.
@@askarsepoi - That type of work will never pique the interest of young Malaysians. As such, the only candidates to compete for the positions are old individuals and foreign workers. The young people would choose to work as industrial workers, shop attendants, hotel staff, e-healing drivers, government agencies or corporation staff. The majority of foreigners who opt to work here are either business owners, representative of multinational companies or staff of embassies.

Competing in palm oil estates or rubber estates? How many young people go for that job?🤔

How much are the income requirements?
Sounds good. What kind of assistance?
Alcohol is expensive in Malaysia. For those who like party at night, this place is not as vibrant as Thailand. Malaysia still far behind Thailand.
Thanks for watching!
Far behind in what sense? Alcohol, marijuana, and sex tourism? If in that category we are behind Thailand , then it's fine with us.

You must be the drunken...master...aka alcoholic....hihihi...
We’d like to keep it that way. We prefer family-oriented expats please.
