    Is there also more organic matter in the soil around the nurse plants I wonder if they provide nutrients

      Definitely since the mother plants drop their foliage and it breaks down and turns to organic matter in the soil 🤓

      @@RareCactus I actually sent you a message there 10 minutes ago, same name, I'm a biologist, although I don't specialize on plants I do love cactus and I know people that literally study them here, would love to introduce you and go with them as well!

      @@RareCactus oh we can definitely find trichocereus man! I was just in the field yesterday in a not favorable spot and I still found 3 species and flowers, you'll have a blast here!
