- As everyone is housebound due to the arctic weather, I thought I would compile a video of Pete Waterman's fantastic 7mm model layout....just to (hopefully) brighten peoples day.
So make a cup of tea/coffee, sit back and enjoy the show (as they say).
Best watched in full High Definition (1920x1080).
Many thanks to all my loyal subscribers, I do not take any of you for granted.
My brother and I used to spot trains at Leamington in the early to mid sixties. It's great to see the locations we used to go to modelled exactly as they used to be then. The Avenue station, the path up to the shed over the canal, Clapham Terrace, Castles, Kings...Great times; great layout.
Many thanks indeed for this terrific comment, a lovely compliment to Pete's layout....thank you.
Such a wonderful diversity of stock running....a lovely half an hours escapism, immersed in Leamington Spa, thank you Dave!
Many thanks for your fabulous comment, and so pleased you enjoyed watching.
The weather is not so bad here in Australia, but then I do not need that as an excuse to watch this inspiration for the hobby. Thanks for keeping my addiction for this layout going!
You are very welcome, and thank you for this wonderful comment.
This a one amazing layout it really catch is the atmosphere of a real railway truly amazing and nice to see it again. Regards George.
Thank you very much for this fabulous comment, and pleased you like the video.
Weather here on the East Midlands / Lincs borders fine...most we had was 2 inches. But hey! who needs an excuse to watch more of the wonderful layout, as always excellently filmed . Nice to see a decent amount of goods trains and a bit of shunting. Need to make another coffee before I watch it over again! Thanks Dave. Cheers, Bob
So pleased you are enjoying the video's Bob, and thank you for the compliment...it is appreciated.

Always a pleasure to sit with a cup of coffee and see Leamington Spa in full operation and even more so during this period of unseasonally cold weather. Thanks for sharing Dave. Paul

Dave Cooper Is it available for public viewing?
Great shooting a what a fabulous layout.

Nice to see this fantastic layout again , so much to see on there
I hope to film some new material once this arctic weather is over, then I can get over there for an update. I understand a lot has been done since I was last there.
Thank you for your comment David as always.
Dave Cooper 👍🏼🚂
Hi Dave. "They" were right to say "enjoy the show" - that was a well made compilation, and as usual, I watched it twice yesterday, the second time seeing a lot more. No matter how much modellers invest, they all face exactly the same problems, and I'll bet Pete and his team have a few expletives you mute lol. Great video. Alan.
Many thanks indeed for the compliment, I really do try to make it as interesting as I can, and comments like yours tell me I am doing it right.....thank you.
At one time I use to leave the swearing in, but I didn't like it, as it reflected on my "reputation" . I have over 4,000 subscribers and I do not want to loose them, as some have children/grandchildren watching them.
I know how much work goes into making / uploading a video, so thanks for sharing Dave - have a glass of wine to warm me up with the film :) Never got to Doncaster - the meeting was postponed. Thanks for including some of the locos with sound cards :)
I appreciate the fact you know how much effort is involved Brian, it took me nearly all week sorting snippets from various videos.....but it is my hobby....I love it. Then I get a comment from you like this, and it makes it all worthwhile. Many thanks Brian for your continued support.
Interesting video David.
Regards
Jake
Thank you for your comment....appreciated.
That Midland Compound is really hauling arse. Several off them finished out their days from Bedford shed along with some 3P and 2P 4-4-0's hauling outer suburban services from St Pancras.
Hi Dave Great video ! as always . When are we going to see a upto date video of Pete's layout ???
I hope sometime soon, I am as frustrated as you are.
You see live the other side of the Pennines to Pete Waterman, and the weather so far this year has been too bad for me to cross. I will get over as soon as I can, as there has been a hell of a lot of work done on the layout.
Once again a good video of LEAMINGTON. The model of A2 60539 is it kit built or scratch built? Has JLTRT ceased trading? as the website is down and the entry in the traders list of the GOG has been deleted
Unfortunately JLTRT is now under administration. Regards the A2, I will try and find out as a group from Lincoln brought their own locos with them.
Dave Cooper Thanks for your reply. Will the JLTRT kits and pieces reappear under a different name in the future? Thanks once again for posting.
Kindly make cab ride video with train horn and with speed.....
Are these Hornby OO trains?
No....they are kit built O gauge locomotives.
Filmed by a Locomotive Watcher... Nothing is worse than zooming the locomotive and not showing the entire train / giving an over-view of the line / railway that the train is running on. Spoiled the video for me.
There were some nice shots and fixed camera action. The model railway itself is also loverly.
Nice try, unrealistic layout, no figures on trains or stations.
Duck Man I think he doesn’t want figures on it as what’s the point of putting moving trains with static figures that don’t walk around
And the layout is still being made
