- I've been feeling so overwhelmed by all the tarot decks that I own and felt that many of them could find a better home. In this video I go through my entire tarot and oracle deck collection and declutter almost HALF of it!

Wow!! Mad respect. I definitely understand the feeling of overwhelm. 2024 has been my year of decluttering my house, it's so freeing!
The problem I have is I do these decluttering sessions and then I regret it 😅😅😅
Oooh I feel that! Fortunately there's only 1 deck that I ever decluttered that I now feel like I might have liked to have that, but I got plenty other decks that I love haha
Maybe consider that what you’re getting rid of isn’t actually “clutter” in your life. Maybe it serves a purpose. I think when you’re really ready to let something go, you know. It’s not agonizing. I think the tarot community is in part misunderstanding how and when to curate collections.

I feel your pain. It is truly difficult. I am inspired by this video, but then I look at my decks and for each one, there is a different pull to them. I have gifted ones I have not bonded with, but still there is a need to declutter.
So inspiring. You feel like 16 decks is a lot; wow, that makes me feel like a hoarder lol! I have 24 tarot decks and 24 oracles that I rotate every 2 weeks for my daily draws. I also have a few on the 'art' shelf as I just love the images and don't use them. Others are my 4 astrology, 2 chakra, 1 lenormand and 1 rune deck for learning. I have gifted so many; I think there was an initial flood of getting new decks like a kid in a candy store in the last few years. All of a sudden, there were so many! Do I need them all? No. I do feel a need to de-clutter, and I feel your anxiety of choosing which decks get the axe. When I think of my age, there are only so many days I'll get to use each deck. I do have a purgatory drawer I use (thank you, Lisa Papez! lol) which helps a lot.
My perspective is different. I have a lot of decks and look at it as the freedom of many choices and possibilities. For me it is never an overwhelm by exhilaration.
Mad respect for your ability to just let your decks go. I'm a person who cycles through phases so I have to be careful about assuming that just because I don't like something today, I won't ever like it again. I want to declutter and keep 1 or 2 decks per category. I think that will at least halve my collection (I have at least 300 decks, all organized and displayed in my library/spirit room). I've also been reading over 30 years so maybe that's why i go through phases.
WOW I can imagine after 30 years you have a good grip on how you cycle through decks, that's great! For me, I feel like sometimes someone else can enjoy a deck I have in my possession more than I can so it feels right to let it go. Perhaps I will regret some of the decks that I let go of, but I can live with that.

I also let declutter videos inspire me to clear things out. It's just so freeing, when things are gone, that took up a lot of space, but didn't get a lot of love or usage.

I completely understand the decluttering. I do it once a year. I have 15-20 decks that have never left my collect for years. 😊 I agree with your opinion on the story oracle. I purchased it as well thinking it would be interesting to work with but like you said, some days it's spot on while other days it's confusing. I will be rehoming my copy as well.
I love decluttering. So important. Helps to build on your tarot strengths as it helps you focus

I used this video as an incentive to declutter a box of dishes and kitchen stuff, that was standing packed since we moved..... 2 years ago! There were some spare things that I could use, as we managed to break some, but a good bunch was just unnecessary things we just have because they're nice looking, but we'll never need.

So far I only own a oracle deck. (The spirit animal) and I love it! I want to get affirmation decks as well as tarot. I just can't decide on a tarot deck.. I would love a chance to own one ❤
