Absolutely! You have to demonstrate those skills in some projects that you can put into your professional portfolio. Some jobs do have certain qualification standards (college degrees) but there are plenty out there where a good portfolio can land you a job
I personally believe so! I think there is an advantage to already having a background in statistical analysis and a lot of problem solving scenarios. It still does come down to specific skills that you demonstrate through your work/job and portfolio.
