      There’s no evidence to confirm Asbel Kiprop of doping yet. Please don’t read one news article and instantly believe it.

    • @omgiheartpie
      @omgiheartpie 6 років тому +27

      Fair enough, but at the same time it is hardly the belief among the vast majority of serious track fans that a huge percentage of top athletes are completely clean and the recent revelations that some Kenyan and other athletes have tested for various steroids and blood-boosting drugs is only going to help strengthen and rationalize that conviction. I don't like supporting convictions or arguments without logic or scientific and empirical reasoning but just watch Kiprop toy and make a mockery of the field on numerous occasions in the championship races and monaco and you have to become suspicious at some point, especially when he is associated with Rosa

    • @SportiClips
      @SportiClips 6 років тому +13

      omgiheartpie Yes, I understand where you are coming from and yes I am aware that there has been many top tier athletes found to be doping. But just because 1 or 2 eggs are broken in a box does not mean that all the eggs are broken. Really until there is sufficient evidence to back up what Britain's Press Association has reported then it comes down to the old age saying, innocent until proven guilty. It will be a real let down if Asbel is found guilty, but until then I will continue to support Asbel Kiprop for his incredible accomplishments.

I mean, if you know only you can run sub 3:30:00, why not go all out at a fast pace and secure the win earlier? Asbel Kiprop has ruined his legacy. Doping can't make you that good. You can't turn me into Usain Bolt just like you can't turn a donkey into a racehorse. He failed a doping test when he was no longer competitive.

      Ingebrigtsen probably will in the next 1-2 years. As great a record it is and as legendary as El G was, it's time for 3:26.00 and 3:43.13 to fall just as Komen's 7:20.67 did this year. As the saying goes, records are made to be broken. Still, breaking 3:26 is a tall order for anyone though. 3:43's more attainable.

    3rd fastest time in history, and he was running alone. Lagat’s 2nd fastest time in history was in a neck-and-neck race with El Guerrou. If Kiprop had anyone close to him, he could break WR, no? Hard to do it alone like that.
