  • Bandelier National Monument is a great stop along New Mexico Highway 4 near Los Alamos, New Mexico. Walking among the ruins of ancestral Pueblo homes and cliff dwellings is a really cool experience. For those not afraid of heights, you can even climb up into the Alcove House, 140 feet up via ladders and stairs.
If you are traveling with a large motorhome or trailer, you'll need to park in the RV parking area above the visitor's center rather than trying to maneuver down to its parking lot. And once the busy season starts, everyone has to take a shuttle down because the visitor parking at the bottom of the cliffs is just too small.
We share our experiences and our tips in this video. Enjoy!

Bandelier was my childhood playground. I have many fond memories of picnicking by the creek, climbing to the Alcove House, and hiking to the Rio Grande.

It was a nice park that we didn't have on our list but that we're glad we found. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Ya know if you guys keep making these video you'll plan the rest of my life for me, but please don't stop. Hope things are well for you guys out there. It's pretty dry here in Michigan I hope all the corn doesn't dry up and blow away. Keep the good stuff coming guys.

Hahaha - we're here to help you plan! Things are good in Utah albeit a bit chillier than it's supposed to be this time of year.

Bandelier National Park looks amazing. I was disappointed to hear they have to deal with vandalism. 😮🤬

It is an awesome place. And, yes, we were incredibly frustrated about the vandalism and that's why we decided to include a reference in our video. People need to know!
