The funniest thing is that you can't really build or craft with this. If you try to build it will just delete anything you placed as soon as you look away and your inventory is random bs that doesnt really work.
It's so funny that they think this works despite it being terrible at understanding how minecraft works. That and it'd be so easy to fix a lot of these issues by just ACTUALLY DEVELOPING THE DAMN GAME.
Hmm. It looks to me like its only rendering new AI images based on the current image on the screen, combined with the keyboard command that will tell it what the next image should look like. It probably has a database of terabytes of minecraft videos broken apart frame by frame, and then it has the frames categorized based on what is happening and the keyboard command that makes specific things happen. For example: eating. 500,000 frames of eating a pork chop. And it knows those frames are expected when you hold the LMB with what looks like a porkchop near the bottom of the screen. So its not actually rendering any geometry or memory or anything besides the coding for the AI generator. Its a neat concept, ill give them that. If it were free and browser based I would definitely give it a try. It is funny how they act like its "the world's first AI videogame" lmao when its just another AI video generator tweaked to be more controllable. I also guarantee this "gameplay" is significantly sped up. Although I'm sure they chose Minecraft because A.) So much reference data, and B.) Its very basic graphically so it's easier to generate frames for.
I don't think thst that specifically is meant to be taken seriously, but i do think that ai is definitely a problem in the online world. Ai Minecraft though? Try playin that drunk and high!
funny thing is that ai are fundamentally build on what already exist meaning that it'll just make worst version of stuff and never make something new like at all DUDE IT JUST MINECARFT!!! lol
man, just the meaning of the advancement that we got from technology is incredible by itself, the oasis is not meant to be a minecraft2, its just a showcase of how advanced the AI's are
I think you're absolutely missing the point with this. It isn't a replacement for Minecraft, it's an art project. If you had played it you would find that it is quite literally unplayable, but the music alongside it implies it is more meant to be taken as a strange, inexplicable piece of experimental tech than something that people will play. Maybe this technology will lead to other AI generated games down the line, but there is no point being principally against AI when it is merely a tool that could be used to improve games in many ways.
@mintman1271 yeah super cool. And it's anything hut minecraft. Can't craft. Can't build. Can walk around enjoying minecraft schizo dementia edition tho, so Yay?
yes I talk to myself all the time lol joking but yeah I hate this ai shit is assssssss honestly they should keep that ai shit outta gaming. It's probably good for horror tho Ig but still they can keep that shit
You don't get the point of this. This is not supposed to be the final product, but an example. Showcasing how far they have come. Which when you look at it through unbiased eyes, it's actually amazing how this works.
If you are too dense to understand, that this is obviously an ongoing research effort and not meant as a game, you maybe should not be making angry shouting videos about it...
This is bringing me back to the indie games section for the Xbox 360. So many minecraft clones, but they were at least filling in the gap of not having minecraft on the system at the time. This ai game is just useless.

this is literally just asking for a lawsuit

0:27 On forums, all the time, lol. You say something normal, sane, and someone pops up stating the most insane thing.
I can only imagine what an AI game of dead by daylight would look like

cant wait for this to become another thing bloating the steam new release page. hope we will be able to filter it out like the 🌽 games

Does anybody actually like this as a game? I just like it because of how dreamlike and trippy it is
still cool that it only ai and 0 code
we need to be using both at the same time to make some kind of advancement

And what's the point of churning out asset flips? This is what they're aiming for. Asset flips.
The ai sucks at guessing but it's still funny to see it guess the most Ohio things

Hit up Notch, i guess hes not amazed about that
