Friday 13th 2012 is when I had my surgery, I was home the next Friday.. they were surprised at how fast I recovered. The surgeon tried his best to make sure my chest tattoo wasn't ruined bless him. aslong as you follow the care plan you are given.

I had PE surgery in January 2000. Now, in 2020, I am 80 years old and still playing golf and gardening. The operation is amazing and the skills of the Papworth team led by David Jenkins are outstanding. I was in hospital for 10 days and it took about 2 months to become fully mobile, but there was little or no pain and no great fear level at any stage. If you are awaiting this surgery try to avoid stressing and just trust this amazing team.
