Been using bus for reverbs and delays for long, but never thought about turning the dry signal all the way down. Need to try that out. Thanks for the tip!!
Hi Jordon. Two things. First, thank you so much for demonstrating these techniques with a smooth vocal (the person’s voice is beautiful). For old guys like me it can be hard to discern differences within the power or harshness of some (maybe most) metal or rap pieces. Second, you are one of the few who demonstratively feels the emotional impact of your edits. I sometimes make a change then mantra it by listening to it over and over. Not sure if that’s some form of OCD or just my basking in the emotional content of what has been accomplished. Your work here is inspiring. Thank you.
Thank you so much! I appreciate that. Yes for our own music it’s really easy to over listen and then end up not hearing it correctly and over mixing (I do the same thing) but we always have to simplify and get back to the basics. That’s all we can focus on. Let me know if you’d like any specific tutorials 🙌
Been producing for 10 years set a vocal chain over eight years ago I’ve been using the same vocal chain because it’s used a lot of good benefits however I have changed over to a Mac and I have talked in the information that you have provided in this video let me tell you now the way how you explain that I took it in so easy you made it so they stand for for me to go ahead and use a the sends In the correct manner thank you very helpful video
Bro you don’t know how much I appreciate this. I literally just been watching all of your videos to just soak in the knowledge. Has really helped my process. Would also be interested in tutor lessons if you ever do zoom. Lmk!! And TY again ‼️💯🔥🤞🏼
Thanks for the great explanations of vocal effects in Logic. Normally I do instrumental stuff now but been wanting to get some lyrical songs recorded. Also cool to see you’re from Ohio and Florida. Me too! lol
whats your opinion on recording with effects on? Are you pro your vocalist to record 100% dry? or is there a few favorite effects you recommend to record with? Thanks mate just found your channel, no one makes easier to understand videos! Keep it up king!
How did you get that sound effect at 3:18 in the background, the one that is playing in between the lead vocal line, like a riff? What the hell is that? I've been hearing it on so many records but can't figure out how to generate that sound in my DAW?
appreciate your energy dude love your videos im new to your page I will be deff check out your other videos just got some equipment and people like you making videos like this are appreciated deeply ! keep creating
Welcome aboard! Happy you're enjoying the content. I think you'll enjoy my latest video :) I set up a studio from scratch and turn my drunk uncle into a rapper lmao
what simple plugins now in 2024 for doing auditions singing acapella making MP3 and youtube shorts are good? or singing to an added backing track? thanks! Am not a tech guy, just an artist
hmm no there is not..im pretty sure. however, if you make a bus and throw on an EQ with a high shelf boosting your highs then use a compressor after with a ratio of like 5 and threshold of -20. that will allow you to add crispy controlled top end by moving your bus knob
It's great for beginners because I have many tutorials and series for Logic Pro for recording and mixing that will make it super easy for you. I think FL is just as good if not better for recording vocals tho
How can I get rid of this crack in static sound on my Logic Pro x Mac . It happens when I record . Does it also stay staticky when you send the project to a person with a stronger CPu or those this stay on the recordings
Hey Jumma! I'm not sure what might be happening as there could be a ton of issues coming to play. The biggest thing I'd suggest to start is cleaning your computer out to make sure you're using optimal CPU. Next I'd make sure to check your DAW for updates and look up the best settings for Logic pro x within the preferences.
I dont know what it is but no matter what preset pack I buy or who I buy them from , it never turns out sounding how it sounded it the UA-camr video , I record with Focusrite i2 full set up on Logic Pro ... could it be my equipment ? or could it be my settings with in the software? someone please help I've really been trying to make my quality better but its just not working out... is the final audio that's loaded within the UA-cam video mastered ? or is it all raw and live?
It could be many things please send over a project file or raw demo and send over this exact message over to my support email. Support@baywoodaudio.com
Great video. I have a dilemma. Every time I use bus on a vocal for effects and THEN add another audio track and send the effects to another bus ALL the vocal tracks are effected
looks like this guy has a problem with show how he does everything like thing pop-up on the screen and he oes show how they get there eg. one momet he has only bus 2 and the there is bus 3 with out him doing any thing what is with that ?
I have a lot of videos where I break down concepts like that fully, this video was meant as quick tips that you should know! I do see your point though, note taken!

it is the sample in the beat. it sounds like it has been pitch shifted down slightly with a radio style EQ on it
THANK YOU so much , 🙏💙🙏💙🙏 , I have benefited a lot
Good tutorial and good tune!
Thx for your excellent advice my man!!
You bet!
Do you use the chorus plugin on the chain sometimes too or just on buses?

I have a ton of those videos, check out my logic playlist!
Is there a vocal exciter stock with protools?
hmm no there is not..im pretty sure. however, if you make a bus and throw on an EQ with a high shelf boosting your highs then use a compressor after with a ratio of like 5 and threshold of -20. that will allow you to add crispy controlled top end by moving your bus knob
@@Baywood Hey thanks for this info, I'll def be trying it out. much appreciated.
I was wondering if you had any tips mixing higher vocals like vocals with no bass at all?
Add Saturation to add harmonies to the mid range. Saturation is the magic 🪄
😊❤👌
I think you need to carve some soace for the vocals to sit in.
Great
would you recommend this daw for a beginner? And I've heard this daw is the best one for recording and mixing vocals, is that true?
It's great for beginners because I have many tutorials and series for Logic Pro for recording and mixing that will make it super easy for you. I think FL is just as good if not better for recording vocals tho
just subscribed wish I did sooner, really wish you can mix my vocals but learning is great too.
