    7:56 In this scenario, if I catch a big fish, say 3kg, but I keep it in yellow zone and dont let it get red, will the rod still break in yellow zone? Or do things only ever break in red zone?

    • @midnightgamingmysticnightmare
      @midnightgamingmysticnightmare  Місяць тому

      Ok so 99.9999% of the time things don't break in green, yellow or red on the tension bar. Things really only break if you max the tension bar completely or if a fish with teeth like a pike bites them off. There is however something called catastrophic failure that a lot of players don't know about. Even tutorial geeks like me might not know unless they read all the patch notes. So with catastrophic failure if something on your gear is around 50% or more wear there is a slight possibility that you'll get a catastrophic failure on that item and it'll just break on any color of the tension bar.
      It's VERY rare but it does happen and it's happened to me a few times I've been playing the game over the years. So you really don't have to worry about if your in green yellow or red of the tension bar as long as you're not completely maxing the bar to the end. Also if you're in the red you're doing 4x the damage to your equipment.

    u videos help me a lot thx - a question 1 have how much is the impact of hook sice and color depending on what type of fish is baiting - also the color and thickness of the leadcore thx

    • @midnightgamingmysticnightmare
      @midnightgamingmysticnightmare  3 роки тому

      line color and hook color do not effect anything in the game right now. That includes leaders and leadcores. Hook size is very very important, bigger the hook higher chance of catching bigger fish, but if the hook is too big then the fish may stop biting.

    Good viedo but I still don't how kiltedjock find out the mech weight, and how did he know the max mech weight for any kind of reels, that is my wonder

    • @midnightgamingmysticnightmare
      @midnightgamingmysticnightmare  Рік тому

      I know they use a special trick to find out and I haven't been able find anyone that knows it yet. But what I think you could do is put on line, rod and hooks that are over what you think the kg weight might be for the reel. Then slowly raise the kg weight of your leader until the leader stops breaking and the mechanics of the reel does.

    So I have been trying my best to learn what I can prior to waisting silver in RF4. Many people have been so helpful with what I should be using where and why, your videos have also been a huge help though some are a bit old I’m hoping the info stays relevant. I do however have some questions that stay unanswered, such as if I want to go to this map with my saber 60 what type of rod should I be using I was assuming a spinning rod. I was also thinking something like the Express Fishing Heavy though which ones of the 3 then becomes the next question. How do I know which rod I should go with out of the options that come on each type of rod? I have yet to find a video or anything explaining the rods and what they should be used for in a general consensus. Obviously simple ones like feeder rods and casting rods easy to know what those are for and to be used as. I also have yet to be explained how to know when to use things such as paternoster rig over regular bottom or others. If anyone has a good answer please help haha. You then have the question of what bait/lures will more or less get what fish and around what weight if that fish. Like using certain lures I’ve only gotten 1type if fish the entire time I’ve used.

    • @midnightgamingmysticnightmare
      @midnightgamingmysticnightmare  3 роки тому +1

      Well I do have videos on quite a few of the lakes you can watch that tell each lakes setup with each rod and reel I recommend. Usually when it comes down to certain rods that have multiple choices to choose from, the only difference between most of them is the kg weight they can handle and the length of each rod. Most people choose the highest kg weighted rods for the biggest fish and the longest rods for the longest casts. However some of the feeder rod choices have higher "test" numbers, meaning they can handle bigger bait on the line. Usually a higher test means they are meant for bait fish, which are super heavy. As for fish and lures the best way to see active lures and the possible size of fish is to go to that lake and pull up the weekly records for that specific lake. That will tell you possible trophy sizes of each type of fish and the lures and baits people are using for the fish in that lake.

    Hello, very nice tutorial but i still don't understand how you calculate the "hidden" mech weight limit of a reel. Can you calculate it with the reel informations? Thx.

    • @midnightgamingmysticnightmare
      @midnightgamingmysticnightmare  2 роки тому

      The mech weight isn't calculated by me. There is a link in the description of a website called KiltedJock that shows the majority of the reels' mech weights.
      Here is the part of the video were I talk about it.

      By the way english is not my native language so it can be difficult to understand all you are saying in the video. :p
      And for the reels where the mech weights are not noted, how to know? Doing by feeling?

    • @midnightgamingmysticnightmare
      @midnightgamingmysticnightmare  2 роки тому

      @@Bombastic0013 I usually don't buy reels that don't have the mech weight. But if I wanted to I would check other reels that have the same drag weight, line capacity, cost, and other things and see what their mech weight is. Then guess.

    Wait... So I can put 44 kg line on narga 8000 and put that on heaven creek barracuda with 95 kg load capacity and I can pull out a big fish without cracking mechanism and breaking line?

    • @midnightgamingmysticnightmare
      @midnightgamingmysticnightmare  3 роки тому

      Depends on if you had a leader or not. If you didn't have a leader that was 39kg or lower and just the line, you would have a 50% chance the reel would break if you maxed your tension bar. But if you had a leader on and it was 39kg or lower, what would break would be your leader instead of your line or reel. However my suggestion is to be more safe and make sure your line and leader is 10% lower kg weight than your mech weight. So make sure your line and leader is 39kg and under. That way you ensure your line or leader will break first.

    Will that work differently on an ultra-light setup? What I mean is for example you have a Heaven Creek Cardena CST CSM68UL rod that has a load capacity of 8kg and a Trident Mayor 2 TMC-R reel with a max drag of 7.3kg. So far so good, the reel is below the rod's load capacity, right? But that reel has a mech drag of 27.9kg. Will I be able to utilize a 26kg line and leader, without risking the rod or will the line and leader have to be below 8kg?

    • @midnightgamingmysticnightmare
      @midnightgamingmysticnightmare  Рік тому

      The reel is not below the rods load capacity if it has a 27.9kg mech weight. The Max Drag is not the load capacity of the reel. It's how much pressure, or drag, it can put on the fish to wear the fish out.The higher the pressure (drag) the faster the fish will wear out.
      The mech weight is the load capacity of the reel. So no you won't be able to use a 26kg line on a 8kg rod. On a 8kg rod you wouldn't want to go over a 7.2 kg line. However if you had a 20kg rod you could use upwards of a 15kg - 17kg line and still be fine with a reel that has 7.3kg max drag with a 27.9kg mech.
      However you also have to watch out with how close your reels max drag is to your rods weight capacity. Reels are very powerful. Usually you want your rod to be close to double your reels max drag. If your reels max drag is only a couple kg under your rods weight limit then you'll notice the reel is too powerful for your rod and you won't be able to turn the reels brake to 29 before you redline your tension bar. So that reel you have is a little powerful for your rod. I'd either jump your rod up to a 15kg - 20kg rod, or lower your reel to at least a 5kg - 6kg max drag reel.

      @@JivkoEnev After Belaya you're going to be trolling for quite a while on Kuori Lake and Volkhov river. I'd get either a spinning rod and reel or a casting rod and reel to handle that. If you want my advice, Caliber HSV reels with either superduty spinning rod or model one spinning rod. You can use them for trolling, fishing from the bank, pike, or you can buy a model one feeder rods or fortuna carp rods and use them for bottom fishing or carp fishing with those same reels.

    Whats a leader

    • @midnightgamingmysticnightmare
      @midnightgamingmysticnightmare  3 роки тому

      A leader is a piece of line that is practically invisible that you place on the tip of your main line. It makes your lure look like it's not connected to anything so the fish are more likely to bite. It also protects your line, reel and rod from being broke if you accidentally max your tension bar while fighting a fish. For Belaya river you need a 3kg to 6.4kg fluoro carbon leader on your setup so the fish will actually bite your lure.
