Gotta love the straightforward no BS guides Olivio does. As for Pinokio 2, I didn't have the best of experiences with their previous version. I was trying to run RVC on it and although everything was fine on paper, I never managed to get it to work. But I'm looking forward to this version. Hopefully they've worked out the kinks.
Not sure what RVC is, my setup was local but I had a similar experience. It worked okay the first time but when I went back much later it always came up with errors, even after updating, reinstalling etc to get the latest version. Thankfully it wasn't something I needed, I was only checking out a couple of services it had. Like you, hopefully they've worked out those issues for version 2.

You would think there would be a one button update for the app the self-proclaims to be an “AI computer” platform with “orgamisms” and whatnot. The true easy way is that other app Matrix something for automatic and comfyui that is able to update, download, and auto-link models, saving storage.
Great video! I had some technical trouble with version 1 of Pinokio, but I love the whole idea of it and version 2 looks like a great improvement! Will have to install the new version from scratch soon. Thanks for sharing the update :D
Haven't tried version 2 yet but it's highly likely to be a false/positive from your overzealous AV software. I seem to recall this very thing being mentioned in their Discord announcement.
i tried it under windows and linux and then tried some installs within pinocio and none of them were installed correctly. all ended with errors in pip, dependencies could not be installed or the installation ran but when pressing the start button the installation was triggered again and again . so easy not really sorry example: openvoice2 every press on start again the installtion and then : ERROR: pip's dependency resolver does not currently take into account all the packages that are installed. This behaviour is the source of the following dependency conflicts. myshell-openvoice 0.0.0 requires gradio==3.48.0, but you have gradio 3.50.2 which is incompatible. myshell-openvoice 0.0.0 requires whisper-timestamped==1.14.2, but you have whisper-timestamped 1.15.4 which is incompatible.
I find a lack of integration between the different apps, for instace, I found multiple copies of the same safetensor file. I wish they would make something more like Stability Matrix where most (not all) of the models are shared.
Pinokio2 is the way to go .. they should include a update option i spent alot of time in Pinokio 1 and i don't want to break anything or redownload everything i have already installed
The big question is if I have ComfyUI, Automatic1111, StableSwarmUI, Fooocus and Invoke, already installed on my windows PC, how easy is it to move everything to Pinokio 2?
if you already have everything you probably don't need it. But if you haven't already done so, i suggest to move all your models to a extra folder outside of all UIs and then link to that folder with the different UIs. of course use subfolders as needed

I'd love to use it but, Pinokio refuses to let me change my Home drive no matter what I do. It stays on C. So no go for me, I guess I'll stay with stabilitymatrix

What a surprise... I just finished installed pinokio... Just assume it as the steam or playstore for AIs... but its very resource intensive...

I had occasionnally troubles too where suddenly I got errors "conda hook is not recognized blabla", but rebooting the computer fixed that

My browser won't let me download pinokio 2. It says Virus detected. Weird because the Pinokio 1 did not have this issue.

It will create a venv and install the depencies there.
