      Excellent👌. Sadly, we're looking at yet another rain filled weekend, with heavy rainfall warnings out, so no boat trips today...

    Never met a generator that I liked! lol Starting the one on our 370 could be an adventure at times. I had it serviced, changed and cleaned filters, still not a lover of cold starts even in the summer. Once it was going, nice and quiet...it was just getting there.

    First just a comment that's the cleanest engine room I've ever seen. Second I'm sure you have but I don't remember you ever mentioning a auto fumedetector

      I don't have that on this boat, but it is equipped with an automatic Halon flame suppression system.

    First time viewer, good video, just wish you’d show the entire time switches and what exactly you are doing instead of the cat!

    For some reason our Air Conditioner breaker is occasionally tripping. It's on its own 30 amp cable. Maybe it's the marina's issue at the stanchion? Actually I should run it on the genny to see if it might be my issue.

      I'm guessing you are referring to the breaker on the shorepower pedestal, as opposed to the onboard breaker, correct? If so, sounds like an issue with the connection on shore (at your dock). If so, could be that either your boat is temporarily drawing too much power from the pedestal. That can be caused by a combination of air conditioner kicking in at the same time as the water heater, or another high draw appliance at the same time. Despite the 30 amp advertised breaker, if the power actually reaching the power pedestal from shore has too much load, it can still trip the breaker.
      At our last marina, that was a constant battle with some of the power pedestals, as they really didn't have enough potential current reaching them and if a neighboring boat had a big load on the circuit, it would shut everyone down in a stretch of 3-6 boats.
      Another issue might be a faculty receptacle or shorepower cable leading to/from the power pedestal. I've been meaning to produce a video looking at how a rusty plug or cable can not only cause this type of issue, but be a serious fire hazard. I might to that one this weekend, as we're looking at straight rain through till Sunday now 🙄

      Thanks for this detailed reply. Unfortunately I am referring to the breaker on our panel. Thoughts? Sorry the weather is bad. I know you are planning to have time with family.

      @eternitysshore That one should be left to a knowledgable professional to troubleshoot, as the cause could be coming from something as simple as a weak breaker that needs swapping out, or something internal in the A/C unit such as a bad capacitor, etc.. might even be a faulty thermostat that is calling for too much extended load. . . ?

    Hi , how you doing ? Do you recommend a good marina for a 40 feet ?

    • @BoatingWithBoogaboo
      @BoatingWithBoogaboo  8 днів тому

      There are a number of marinas on Lake Simcoe that can accommodate a 40' boat, but not all of them are able or willing to provide good service for their customers. I would strongly suggest driving through a few and talking to the current customers to get their impressions of the management, as well as the services provided.
      Good luck in your search!

    Your video has froze Paul. It's not at my end, I can hear your voice just not showing what you're talking about.

      I've watched it a couple of times now and everything looks good. Let me know exactly where you see that happening so I can compare on my end. Are you sure it isn't just the still photos I included??
