Varla scooter complaints... I just got my Varla EagleOne scooter a couple days ago and have less than 20 miles on it. I do have a couple complaints but they don’t outweigh the good things about it. I love the ride quality, it’s very comfortable, it’s very torquey on acceleration even using eco mode. I also Lobe the power of the brakes (even on the steepest hills in San Francisco), although they said on their site that they were anti lock brakes, I’m not sure at what speed, but it seems I was able to lock the rear tire a few times coming into deliberately hard stops for testing. Some of my complaints may not be the same with other people, but 1. Ever since I received the scooter, the rear wheel squeaks every revolution at lower speeds from walking it to up to about 7 mph, and it’s a little annoying. I had submitted a review on the Varla site but see that they must filter out any negatives because my comments never showed up (even though I was giving them a four out of five rating). It seems as if the squeaking is brake pads related. 2. Varla claims that the scooter will travel at speeds of 40+ mph, but even at what I feel an average weight of 185lbs, on flat level smooth ground average temperature day, I can’t get the scooter past 35 mph--that is actually quite fast, but definitely falls far short of their claims of 40+ 3. I’ve seemed to have a little trouble with the double locking clamps for the fold down procedure. I think there could be a much better way for engineering the locking of the sleeve that needs to be lifted for fold down the handlebars. Every time I get one side really tight, then the other on is loose, you tighten that one and it’s clamped harder so that the first one needs to be tightened MORE than before. It’s seems a little inconvenient to be transporting it once a day in your car just because of the clamping that has to be delt with. In all fairness it’s not HARD to do, but to get them right takes a few tries and a little longer than just simply latching something. I’ve found if they’re not really tight then the handle bar stem/pole slightly moves back and forth upon acceleration and deceleration, and makes a rubbing sound. 4. I’m not happy with the lighting on the scooter. It does look cool from the front and rear, but certainly doesn’t provide enough light for you to have a safe night travel. You will be seen, but the lights just don’t light up your path well enough. 5. Im not happy with the fact that the folding down of the handle bars have no place to latch it in the down position., they just kind of swing or sway left and right while down. Things to note: 1. it would have been nice to have a USB port to charge your phone, and an option for a phone holder. 2. It would have been nice ce to have solid rubber tires to illuminate all possibility of a flat tire 3. A battery percentage indicator would have been nice opposed to just a 5 bar indicator, and I’ve found that the last bar never gets consumed, the scooter dies prior to depleting the last bar., this can leave you hanging a little bit not knowing exactly how much farther you can go. ☹️ 4. I feel that the scooter should have come standard with a top mounted headlight instead of charging $60 afterwards 5. Engineering on the sliding sleeve for the folding down of the handlebars should be improved, i.e. A threaded sleeve that clamps down when you twist it. 6. A thin strip of side lighting would have been a nice added Saftey feature 7. NOTE: this scooter DOES give you a great value for the dollar amount ($1699.00), even though I have some complaints, and am unhappy about a couple things, doesn’t mean I am unhappy overall with the scooter--I’m just unhappy about some things. I DON’T REALLY SEE ANY OTHER ALTERNATIVE SCOOTERS AVAILABLE ON THE MARKET TO GET YOU THIS MUCH SCOOTER FOR THE PRICE. I have been having a blast through the streets of San Francisco and traveling anywhere cars, bicycles or people can go, and discovering small little cool places that I ever knew were there going by in my car. Just today, I rode the EagleOne from downtown financial district San Francisco, all the way to and over the Golden Gate Bridge, down the hill into and all over the city of Sausalito, brought the EagleOne back the entire distance and still had another couple miles left. (Traveled with my 5 year old daughter the entire way bringing us to a total FUN RIDE of 28 miles!! We only turbo boosted a couple times, but we’re in ECO mode the entire trip. Even with my complaints and suggestions, I give this scooter an overall rating of 4 out of 5. If you decide to get one, you will have made the right choice! :-)

@@noblextech A niche scooter style could open a door for more interest in scooters. I'm sure it would be a small market. For myself, I have a recent knee injury that has me out of comission for a while. I do see some possibilities for me having an e-scooter to do some local errands, recreational travel / exploring on bike trails. I also see it as an alternative to actual disability scooters (for some folks), I also see the possibility of attaching a trailer to a scooter to haul groceries back from shopping, and even for small businesses to use to for work (such as window washers, window sign painters). I know this because I have personally seen different bicycles with various creative trailers people have used to utilize to get things done.
I want one. Problem is....dog needs a side car. Lol. I am kinda old...you can make fun...I get it...I ride my little e300 everywhere I go in a 5 mile radius when I don't take the dog. I don't KNOW if I would go much further on this...which is why I really don't need it... but man if would be awesome and I WANT one!!! Awesome video.
This is a physics issue, not a brake issue. Front brakes always provide a significant portion of your overall braking power, up to 75% or so on most vehicles. With a front brake, your braking power comes from the friction between the front wheel and the ground. This point is in front of your center of mass, which means that as you apply the brakes, the weight of you and your bike acts like a lever, pushing the tire down into the pavement, increasing the friction
The Qiewa Qforce 52volt is a monster. It keeps up w my Vsett10plus. It has to be the fastest 52volt out there my lil nephew gets 45 to 50 mph. I get abt 40 to 42mph. Its like a little stable mini rocket lol.
Dig your reviews. BTW. Noxe scenery in your vids. That Varla looks similar to a Nanrobot. Are there actually one or two e-scooter manufacturers and just put on the scooter name???????
Varla Eagle One is a rebrand of Titan T10-DDM, aka Zero 10x. It's not that great, the design is over 3 years old and has some issues like the folding clamp and front suspension. Look at the Vsett (or Blade if you're poor) line instead. Source: researched performance scoots for almost half a year

I went with the lightning. Amazing scooter! Did you have any issues with the handlebars bolts? I was unable to remove 1 out of the 4 bolts. Seems to be frozen inside the bracket. I’m currently going back and forth with nanrobot to get them to send me a new bracket
@@dansloan4242 yeah that’s what I thought. You can’t take it out and you can’t tighten it. It runs maybe 3 or 4 turns and locks up. I’ve been emailing nanrobot for weeks now. Let’s put it this way, it takes about 5 minutes to scroll through the whole email chain😂😂😂😂
I just received my new Eagle One and was upset to find there is a detent in the steering that causes the front wheel to pop into a straight ahead attitude. This is very annoying when trying to navigate at slow speeds because it keeps popping into this detent. Is this a standard feature why have I not seen one person mention it in any of the dozens of videos on this scooter? Also, is there anyway to disable it?
Wish they should had front fork like zero 11x that would be looking way better then having single stem and would love to see them twin shocks that be be best looking varla eagle ever see hoping to see it one day in future 🙏
With the stock tires yes, the tires they come with are very skinny and kind of cheap, but once you swap them out with a set of hybrid or off road tires there is no wobble.
Just received my varla yesterday charged it up and took it out for a little bit only to fall right off of it because of a idiot driver who wants to cut me off to make a right turn now it’s in the shop getting repaired but it’s a lesson learned and I know what to do next time even though this was completely not my fault. Best to avoid it altogether
That's sad to hear. We hope you are alright! That's the common thing with drivers, for some reason they never watch for cyclists or other PEV riders when making a right turn. Better to keep those situations in mind all the time. Ride safe!
$1600 no headlight. No turn signals. No horn. My evercross scooter has all those things and it was $600! Mine just doesn’t have the suspension and speed of the varla
@@noblextech oh I’m not doubting the quality. I’m very the sure the performance puts evercross to shame. I’m just saying they could have at least put on a horn and turn signals for $1600. What about the tires? Can I get solid tires if I want them? Is that an option? I ride in the city. Streets are pretty bad. Debris. I heard these tires are very susceptible to flats.
Meh, prefer the Solar FF Lite. I can hit 50mph (1,600w x 2) with hybrid tires and im 200lbs. It also has superior 21700 batteries at 23AH 60v. It's like a cut corners Solar FF more or less. No headlight, the FF has a steering stabilizer, fingerprint unlock. Yeah it's pretty much q poor mans FF Lite.
First scooter of apparently a adult cluster base that has no head light at all give it a miss plenty of choice out there you can get far better for your money
It’s a fine scooter unless you have problems with it. Varla has improved company wise but turnover time takes forever for parts and fixes. Main reason I went with kaabo
@@noblextech 100% I've rode 1200+ miles on a single set of tires. Don't have to worry about pinch flats or nails. I actually have multiple nails in both tires and they don't go flat. A tube tire like a bike would have had to replace them.
Varla is basically a clone knockoff of nanrobot but without the electric horn. Honestly, any scooter that goes over 30 mph should come with one since most likely you'll be riding this on the road.
I’m guessing if you’re lucky enough to get a good one and you take care of it, should last a while. I had a “hurdle motorgear” scooter from 4 years ago. Not the best of quality. I had to re-mend the rear fender. The brake switch failed (probably from riding in the rain). I redid the wiring and installed a separate switch. But despite all that, it still runs strong. Battery was maintained, so it’s still healthy. Holds the charge as it should. It advertises 19mph and it reached 19mph up to the day I gave it to a friend of mine.
Don't get trapped like i am, There's essentially No return policy , they are willing to replace it but not until you pay a $150 shipping and a 15% restocking fee for a defective product they sent me in the first place.
!! Stop recommending an old scooter like the Varla Eagle One. This is a rebranded Zero 10x to sell you old stuff again. The design has been replaced by the VSETT line-up years ago!! Damn affiliates
@@noblextech Not everything is bad but lots have been improved over the past years on it. From an engineering standpoint the Collar clamp mechanism is pretty bad though.
That's pretty weak that, you have to be a light as a feather to get the full speed, I'm 235 pounds so if it's gonna be less than 30mph then this is trash

I bet that would be too specific for scooter manufacturers... simply no demand
What good is removing the speed limiter if the top speed is the same as before when the limiter was in place?
No, it's not the same. It's limited to 15mph. ua-cam.com/video/4b-zl2OkO0o/v-deo.html
I suggest to Buy Kukirin G2 Max or G3 Pro. The Price is Cheaper but the Quality is twice as Varla plus the Speed is almost the same.
Love the content !
I want one. Problem is....dog needs a side car. Lol. I am kinda old...you can make fun...I get it...I ride my little e300 everywhere I go in a 5 mile radius when I don't take the dog. I have a car as well. But wow I would love to have one of these. Where I live there are NO stand up electric scooter laws so I ride mine mainly on sidewalks to stores that are around 4 to 10 blocks away. I don't KNOW if I would go much further on this...which is why I really don't need it... but man if would be awesome and I WANT one!!! Awesome video.
How do you make the rear brakes as strong as the front brakes. Ive noticed the rear ones have significantly less power
Maybe your brake pads are wonr out? Or your brake line is damaged and you need to bleed the brakes.
One thing that will be bad in the longer run is the stem will Crack under the secondary clamp exsact same design as my zero 8x
yeah, the original clamp is trash
Good one. Where I can I buy it?
WHERE CAN I BUY THE TOOL TO ADJUST THE SUSPENSION? AND WHATS THE BAME OF THAT TOOL? ANY LINKS?
Spanner wrench, 55-62mm, Amazon
Considering this scooter vs the vsett10+ Your thoughts please. Thanks
If you can afford vsett, then go for it. Branded battery, more range, plus nutt is better than zoom.
The Qiewa Qforce 52volt is a monster. It keeps up w my Vsett10plus. It has to be the fastest 52volt out there my lil nephew gets 45 to 50 mph. I get abt 40 to 42mph. Its like a little stable mini rocket lol.
i've heard that the eagle one is just a re-branded Zero 10x, is that true?
It is
yeah it is
I bought an Apollo Ghost and love it but in hindsight I should've pulled the trigger on the Varla Eagle One
Any issues with the Apollo?
@@noblextech no, not at all.
It's a few hundred more, but what I'm liking about the Eagle One Pro is 11" _tubeless_ tires.
Yeah, I checked the new Eagle Pro and it looks like a huge improvement over the 1 gen. The only MASSIVE bummer are the brakes.
@@noblextech are the breaks on the eagle one pro worse then the breaks on the eagle one ?
My Varla Eagle will only do 51kmp in 3rd gear with dual motor turbo. Why is mine so slow?
change P settings it can be turn up
Have y’all gotten the m-10 yet
Hey, yes we have 👍 we'll publish the unboxing vid this weekend
I want to see a comparison vs the nanrobot lightning
Very Different scooters. We have a dedicated review of the Lightning.
It looks like you have the all terrain tyres fitted with the tread the wrong way
Dig your reviews. BTW. Noxe scenery in your vids. That Varla looks similar to a Nanrobot. Are there actually one or two e-scooter manufacturers and just put on the scooter name???????
Oops......that was to be Nice scenery.
( Crazy auto correct.)
Thanks man! They are actually several big ones, yes, however NR and Varla are completely different scooters.
Varla Eagle One is a rebrand of Titan T10-DDM, aka Zero 10x. It's not that great, the design is over 3 years old and has some issues like the folding clamp and front suspension. Look at the Vsett (or Blade if you're poor) line instead.

@@parskyyyy thank you for the input. 👍👍👍
Great review!
Hey Noblex Tech,
i am absolute beginner and i need to buy a scooter for daily commute,
my work is 8km away from home and i need to drive daily back and forth, i am 6'4.38 tall and 125kg, what are your recommendations?
i need something that i can buy in Germany or Austria, i also don't have a big bank account. thanks.
Hey! What is your budget?
@@noblextech anything under 1400 Euro, maybe i can pay a bit more but i will have to wait a bit, thanks for replying
@@noblextech i heard about the EMOVE Cruiser 52V 1600W Dual Suspension but it is not available here and they don't ship from the US
Varla eagle one or Yume M10?
replied under the other video
Is it water proof?
It has an IP54 rating, so it's not. It can be used maximum in light rain
I have basically the same scooter, but mine is called the lightning+
Can't wait to go mess with the rev limiter! Hade mine for a year and a half, and never knew about this! Vroom! Thanks man!
You are welcome!
I have the lighting+ as well for about a year. Going to test the rev limiter asap!
I went with the lightning. Amazing scooter! Did you have any issues with the handlebars bolts? I was unable to remove 1 out of the 4 bolts. Seems to be frozen inside the bracket. I’m currently going back and forth with nanrobot to get them to send me a new bracket
@@grazz7865 no man, I had zero problems with my scooter. It sounds like it could possibly be cross threaded my friend?
@@dansloan4242 yeah that’s what I thought. You can’t take it out and you can’t tighten it. It runs maybe 3 or 4 turns and locks up. I’ve been emailing nanrobot for weeks now. Let’s put it this way, it takes about 5 minutes to scroll through the whole email chain😂😂😂😂
hey what is the fastest scooter for 1.700dollers???
laotie
I just received my new Eagle One and was upset to find there is a detent in the steering that causes the front wheel to pop into a straight ahead attitude. This is very annoying when trying to navigate at slow speeds because it keeps popping into this detent. Is this a standard feature why have I not seen one person mention it in any of the dozens of videos on this scooter? Also, is there anyway to disable it?
probably a p3 issue if not contact support
My evercross scooter had that. A little squirt of WD40 cleared it up.
Wish they should had front fork like zero 11x that would be looking way better then having single stem and would love to see them twin shocks that be be best looking varla eagle ever see hoping to see it one day in future 🙏
Dope one. Have you experienced any speed wobble on high speed?
No! 0 wobble!
With the stock tires yes, the tires they come with are very skinny and kind of cheap, but once you swap them out with a set of hybrid or off road tires there is no wobble.
@@raulespinoza8668 true, hybrid 10x3 are the best imo.
Wow, first quality electric scooter review filmed in Estonia👏
Thanks! All our reviews are filmed in Estonia! ⚡️
@@noblextech Hey is the nanrobot d6+ listed on facebook marketplace the same one you guys tested? Its located in kesklinn and by Igor.
Yes, that's me
@@noblextech ok, but why are you selling it and why is the price low?
@@kqrmo8709 We don't use that anymore. The price is OK in my opinion :)
This scooter seems to have all the features I'm looking for, does Varla ship internationally?
Hey! Where are you from?
@@noblextech Australia!
Ride safe!
@@noblextech Something I evaluated after the whole ordeal😩 thanks for the reply and I’ll be Sure to ride safer.
They only sent me one battery charger??? Just got mine today.
I have this scooter now I want more range Thunder 2 is what I need gotta be your next video 🔥
Thunder 2 is dope, we will try to get our hands on one! Thanks for the comment!
The zero10x was Game changer in 2020
$1600 no headlight. No turn signals. No horn. My evercross scooter has all those things and it was $600! Mine just doesn’t have the suspension and speed of the varla
You can get all those extras for $100. The quality is way better than evercross.
50mph? Are you asking to die? Where are you going that fast? Are you allowed to go that fast?
Good job
thanks!
5:39 horn? HORN? That's a bell 😂😂
😅 Correct, it's the 1st time we saw a BELL on a scooter.
@@noblextech Those definitely aren't that common in performance scoots, the only bell I've ever seen was on a Vsett 8+

That's true
Nice review, tyres are fitted the wrong way tho mate

@@noblextech haha okay cool
It’s a fine scooter unless you have problems with it. Varla has improved company wise but turnover time takes forever for parts and fixes. Main reason I went with kaabo
Nanrobot the same. Endless emails just to get one simple part sent
still sounds better than what I hear about Apollo customer support :/
Kaabo 🤟🏻
Varla Eagle One
I agree, but there is like 1k difference.
molto interessante,grazie de videoooooo.......
Grazie!
8-34 that's what she said
What is your next plans guys?
Yume M10 Unboxing, their new flagship, also the Fidico Black Knight
Inner tube is a hard no for me.
You prefer Tubeless?
@@noblextech 100% I've rode 1200+ miles on a single set of tires. Don't have to worry about pinch flats or nails. I actually have multiple nails in both tires and they don't go flat. A tube tire like a bike would have had to replace them.
Eagle one pro upped the ante
We are going to review that too, hopefully next month!
And the mantis king gt upped that
Still waiting for auto detection of weak cells and user replaceable. My $900 computer tablet now 4yrs old is useless without a $400 battery service.
Varla is basically a clone knockoff of nanrobot but without the electric horn. Honestly, any scooter that goes over 30 mph should come with one since most likely you'll be riding this on the road.
No, nanrobot is a completely different brand.
These Chinese e scoots seem to have a lot of quality issues. Not sure if any of them will be any good in the long run.
It advertises 19mph and it reached 19mph up to the day I gave it to a friend of mine.
a little fast for passing pedestrians safety.
yeah, I agree. It was damn cold and we quickly needed to test the max speed.
@@noblextech Varla looks good to go!
Bro lots of people here in the US says Varla Customer service is difficult.
Don't get trapped like i am, There's essentially No return policy , they are willing to replace it but not until you pay a $150 shipping and a 15% restocking fee for a defective product they sent me in the first place.
😃😃😃😃😃
😎
!! Stop recommending an old scooter like the Varla Eagle One. This is a rebranded Zero 10x to sell you old stuff again. The design has been replaced by the VSETT line-up years ago!! Damn affiliates
Old doesn't mean bad. Still a damn good scooter.

Why do you always only use miles when talking about numbers? Only Americans really use them, everyone else would prefer kilometers and km/h.
Most of our viewers are from the US actually... But thanks for you comment, we try to add metric units too, even thought we forgot to add some in the video... will definitely pay more attention to that in the next videos!
That is funny. As an American I don't understand Kilometers at all and I've tried 🙃. I wasn't aware that only Americans use the Miles system so I learned something new there. 😂
