- I hope this "week in the life" video can help others who are getting this surgery done! The pain hasn't been too bad, nothing compared to what it's been this past year before we found Dr G and his team to help us. I'm just keeping my head up and looking forward to the day that everything is healed and I can connect with my husband intimately without crazy amounts of pain. Thank you guys for your support. Love you all!

Paige, I can only say I wish I had discovered something like your blog 50 years ago. I am over 70 now and my wife had exceptional pain at intercourse in her 20’s which put an end to our sexual relationship. Completely. I was left to my own devices because her flinching and pushing away was confusing and repulsing to me. We were not aware enough of our sexuality to seek help. I had several affairs and if not in an affair turned to pornography and satisfying myself. I can only say your courage to share will, without question, help many, many couples. You are articulate, not sensational but genuinely factual, frank while offering real solutions. I want to thank you on behalf of couple, especially husbands who take your wisdom seriously. You are serving many people.
That’s means so much to me! I’m sorry to hear that you as a couple struggled with that. It’s definitely hard on both people. I have to keep in mind that my husband has needs and doesn’t feel this pain and we have to make it work for us. Thank you for following along.
Thank you for making these videos I’m getting this surgery soon and watching your videos make me feel less alone in this ❤️
I’m so glad!! It’s such a common issue yet, no one talks about it
Amazing is an understatement for you. Love you!
I’m two days post op and feeling super sore ☹️ I’m trying to use ice, baths, and medicine to help with the pain, but I’m hoping it improves soon.
Oh I hope so too! It does get better! Are you taking Tylenol or pain meds? The ice and warms baths really helped me
Thanks so much for sharing I'm having vulvula surgery day before Thanksgiving and dr already warned me it's a very painful area I'm having surgery in. Good to know I can take ambien with pain meds cause idk why I can't sleep on pain pills so hopefully 🤞 the ambien will help. I am right now trying to figure out what I can do while I am down to past time.
I picked up crocheting while I was in bed and watched lots of shows. I’d be careful with the ambien. It was really nice but kind of hard to get off of it when I ran out.
I've been on ambien for a long time but only take it when I'm completely worn out from lack of sleep. I did talk to my dr about it she said it's ok if someone watches me cause I could stop breathing taking both together. Thanks for your support and advice ❣️
Milk magnesium helps I had a partial vulvectomy done and was also constipated
Hi Paige thank you for sharing your story. I’ve had vulvodynia for two years. How do you feel after the surgery? Have you had any complications ? Scar tissue ? Sex is ok after the surgery ? I’m terrified to have the surgery not so much for the immediate post operative pain but after.
I don’t have pain anymore. I have a video about it on my channel. I wouldn’t say sex is enjoyable but I think it has to do with my sex drive and being on anti depressants
5 years with no answers 3 weeks post op and I have no pain whatsoever! So strange I went to Andrew Goldstein in New York so I wonder if you had his brother.
I actually talked to him about that. They’re not related but work very closely. Awesome doctors! Glad you found him and are on the road to recovery! ❤️🩹
Hi! I have been suffering from volvodynia for two years and my doctor suggested this surgery. I was wondering at what point did you finally decide to do the surgeries versus continuing to try other options
Some of my other videos explain this but honestly, after about a year of trying creams and medications we decided to save for surgery. It’s the only permanent fix and we felt the other treatment options were just wasting our money. I’m so glad I had it done!
@@PaigeHigginsVlogs Thank you so much for responding!
@@sydneyspector8227 absolutely! If you have more questions you can always message me on Instagram @paigehiggi
I have been suffering from vestibulectomy for ten years. Can you please tell me how much this surgery cost? Thank you.
I'm on day 3 and hardly any pain yet. I'm very confused and waiting for the other shoe to drop lol
It’ll come lol. Enjoy it while you can!
I’m about to get the surgery and am a little scared. Was riding in a car painful?
I rode in a car right after the surgery and then boarded a plane. I was numb the rest of the day after the surgery so it didn’t really hurt. I’d say the pain set in around day 3
This made me feel better I have to go to surgery and not looking forward to it
It’s so worth it. Best of luck!
Did it hurt to urinate post op?? I’m scared to get it done
I used the peri bottle and it only hurt the first few times. So worth it though!
Who performed your surgery?
Dr Irwin Goldstein at San Diego Sexual Medicine
Did you know you had keratin pearls or just that you had clitoral pain and phimosis he needed to treat and he found the pearls. I am pretty sure I've got them but no one will treat it
I didn’t know I had keratin pearls. I didn’t even really think I had pain there but now that they’re gone I can tell it’s not as sensitive. It’s a really simple procedure to get them removed. Pretty sure Dr G doesn’t even have to put you under for that one
