My mantra is accept the offer…hanging on to items hoping for a few more dollars just doesn’t make sense. Make the sale and put the $$ back into sourcing.
I also believe it’s from the LIVE auctions. Poshmark promotes them so much and that’s taking away business from those of us who don’t do the shows.
I haven’t been able to sell much of anything on Poshmark for 4-5 months now. I started eBay for this reason and am selling really well now. On eBay only! My slump started when live shows and promotions started on Posh. There’s no doubt in my mind that if I don’t do shows I won’t sell much on Posh.
Agreed. Since the shows started my sales have plummeted. I’m still making sales but they’re half of what they were prior to the shows being pushed. That’s largely why I went back to having an eBay store.
Ebay is King baby
Currently I’m only sourcing items I can reasonably list for $50+. The exception is if it’s a brand that’s selling quick and I can make at least $15. I also stay away from items that require stain treatment or any repair. Time is money. Of course, if the item is worth a lot I will put in some work. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!!

I enjoy these videos but I enjoy your work with me and thrift with me videos more. What sold fast for me this month were actually maternity brands! Kindred Bravely, Latched Mama and Pea in the Pod, all close to full price. lululemon also continues to sell fast for me. Also had a vintage LL Bean fair isle sweater that sold within 2 days. Thanks for your wonderful insight and knowledge! All the best these last four weeks of pregnancy - the hardest IMO!
For me personally...I don't like the "what sold" vidios as much. I'm probably in the minority. I've just come to really love your vlogs. I almost didn't watch this one. Just notiticing that I wasn't as excited as I usually am. If it's extrqa work for you...I won't miss it as long as I can watch your daily work. :-)
I think Poshmark is down because if all the LIVE SHOWS!
I appreciate all the hard work you put into these types of videos. So helpful inside must guide others as it does. However, only take on what you can. If it’s too much, we can wait till you have more time or energy.
February was my second best month ever. It's definitely a grind
I picked up a spanx jacket at a consignment store for $40 and sold it on Mercari for $122 the next day. They cancelled, so I relisted and it sold on posh the next day. Only thought to get because of the one you picked up a little while ago!

Love this content. And yes my Poshmark sales are down almost 75% from what they were a year ago but eBay sales are excellent. I feel the live sales killed my Posh sales. Not interested in doing live sales.

Thanks for your content Mogi Beth! In February, my fastest selling items were... a Ted Baker dress bodycon dress (silk top/viscose bottom) that sold in 1 day, an Icebreaker merino wool knit blazer sold in 1 day, a VS PINK sports bra sold in 2 days (NWT), a pair of Dansko Mary Janes sold in 1 day (that was actually the very end of January) and several very large plus sized items (like 4X & 5X), mostly from Ashley Stewart but some from Lane Bryant, sold in less than 2 weeks - some in a matter of days. Most of the plus-sized items are bold colors or bright (loud) prints or metallic or sequined items. (They are from a friend who is an artist.)
February 2024 was the first time I sold more on ebay than Poshmark in the two years I’ve been reselling on the two platforms.
Loved this video - love your data and pie graphs, coming from a math major. So helpful and fun! I am just 3 months into reselling and broke $1,000 profit for February - so excited about that! My fast selling brands were Carhartt, Marine Layer, several golf clothing items, and Rhone. It was a great month!

I love seeing the sold videos and the breakdown of them. My best sale of the month was a arcteryx goretex snow pants. But unfortunately it was returned.
Just fill your draft bank up so you can still list when your on maternity leave.
My sales were down a bit in February. My guess is because we are between seasons. People don't want to buy for winter but maybe not yet ready for spring?? My quick sale was a SASH crossbody sling bag/purse. New to me brand and, honestly, kind of a funky style travel bag. Sell through rate was very good so I took a chance. Sold within an hour of posting! Thanks for sharing all of your info!
My eBay sales have always been better than Poshmark. Not sure if it’s because that’s where I started and didn’t start cross listing until last April? But I did have a $250 sale yesterday off one item. And it’s thanks to you Mogi because it was a formal dress which I never picked up until watching you.

Yes i like this type of video in the mix. Lululemon align tights sold same day. Lots of shoes sold and a tommy bahama dress nwt sold next day.
Loves shows are killing my sales . Sellers start their auctions off with 2.00 starts. My bil sells purses for$35 Mando he gives you 4 clothing items for free . He shops at bins I don't bin stores close to me
They won't last long its alot of work for hardly any money
I just started selling on Poshmark in January. So glad I crossposted on EB, M, and D because barely sold anything PM.
A brand I wasn't familiar with but sold quickly and for a high dollar amount was a dress by Tuckernuck. I grossed $100 so will definitely be on the lookout for this brand again! Love your videos btw! Great content and always super informative :)
I sold two lily Pulitzer shirts(posh), g-star jeans (depop), Patagonia jacket (depop), a leather moto vest (posh), no name black overall shorts (depop) and three Starbucks tumblers (ebay) within 24 hrs this month. So I guess depop has been my quickest place to sell which surprised me.
If your VA doesn’t automatically relist your items on Posh it’s not giving you ultimate benefits.
Can you do a video on how you calculate everything sales breakdown by sourcing
My sales have gone way down and tons of lowball offers--I noticed the increase in lowballs and lower sales in general over the past 6 months. I think Poshmark is overly pushing live sales. Most live sales have items starting at $5 in Canada (that's a $1 profit for us!). I think it's reducing the asp and those who don't have the time or desire to do a live show are negatively affected as traffic is driven away from their closet and even if you have desirable items, you are offered live show prices. Thank you for your videos. I love the what sold videos the most as it shows us what's selling, but I'm here for it all. Best wishes to you and your family as baby #2 is on the way. kuhl and Prana men’s pants and jackets do very well. They sell fast and for a good asp. I don’t buy anything else from them really.
Last month was my first month where eBay beat Poshmark.
As far as Mercari, estimate the weight and charge shipping! It doesn’t vary by ounce the way eBay does. And guess a little higher if you’re unsure
I think Mercari went on vacation..slow sales however Depop has pleasantly surprised me in feb!
Posh has been horrible. eBay is beating it ever month now. 4days into March I’ve sold only 1 item and record sales on eBay . Mercari was great in January not in Feb. I still list everything on posh but I have no love for them anymore. The hoops we need to jump p through are ridiculous and for less and less ever year

@@jettsetgirl there are different ways to ship you can do calculated or fixed price or free shipping. Lots of videos on it

Poshmark is abysmal. I used to make 7-10 sales a day with less inventory. I’m lucky to make 4 a day. Some days I’m making 1. I haven’t hit the no sales day yet (fingers crossed!) but I have a feeling it’s coming. I wish one thing Poshmark would I do is make closets that are inactive hidden.

I think online auctions are crushing regular sales on Posh and offers seem to be lower.
Do you accept every offer? Or do you counter sometimes?
Poshmark’s ridiculous fee gauging as well as the Lives has about ruined it for me. I agree on Torrid.. I also will not pick this up anymore except from the bins. I also feel your average shopper on Poshmark are other resellers trying to buy to make their own flip.
Do you list a certain number of items on ebay everyday to keep the algorithm happy
My Poshmark sales are a lot lower ever since they started doing posh shows I hate the shows. I think they are ridiculous. People are selling things for three dollars and all the new people think that they should buy and offer only three dollars.
I almost exclusively source from the goodwills bins (Hawaii), but i only bring home items that will sell for over $50, my ASP is $68. but eBay is really starting to surpass Poshmark, and i don't even promote, nor allow offers lol

when you subtract COG is that the cost of the items that sold or everything you spent sourcing that month (whether or not those items sold)?

Should your listed gross profit actually be “net” profits?
No, net profits contain other business expenses such as rent, etc. Gross is related to cost of sale. -Matt
Help. I’m new to eBay. Love your videos. My shipping labels are printing sideways and too small for the post office to scan. I can’t seem to find nowhere on eBay’s site to adjust this. I use a Jaden’s label printer works fine with poshmark. Suggestions? Maybe someone else is having this issue and could help
When you click Print Shipping Label your printer will pop up. You adjust the settings there. If you had 3 printers you might want to use printer #2 one day and printer #3 another. So you have to make the changes on the printer page. It should give you a preview so don't print it until you know it's right. Then the next time you print it will keep those settings. If you're still having trouble see if you can get someone who works in an office to take a look.

I have a little under 500 listings. I can barely squeeze out 1k of sales a month. How can I do better! Poshmark is so so dead.

Question: If you sell on multiple platforms, do you list the same item on many platforms or do you decide which items are exclusively put on which platform? I'm wondering because since you have so much inventory, do you track every item that sells and then cancel the same listing that is live on another platform? Seems like it would be tricky to keep up with and might lead to double selling for 1 item. Or maybe is there a software that automatically deactivates your duplicate listing across other platforms?
Vendoo, a cross listing software, has an automatic sales delist when the item sells. So if it sold on Mercari and you had it posted to eBay & posh, it would automatically take it off those two platforms
I dont support platforms that do live selling its ruining reselling and its stupid who wants to spend hrs setting up and ending and shipping items where you make maybe 200 dollars for 12 hrs of work its worthless. Also who wants to watch a live show for 6 hrs hoping ypu see 1 item you want to bid on, it's so dumb its literally highschool cliques and clubs all over again
