I am from Chicago and when this song came out in 1973 I was a thousand miles away in New York City going to Fordham University. I missed my girlfriend terribly and this song caught back then my feelings exactly for her. She has now been my wife for 48 years. Thank you.

Perry Como was a really nice man who lived near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I remember watching his Christmas shows when I was little. I highly recommend his biography written by Malcolm McFarland. I am glad you covered Perry Como. He was a class act and so are you :)
Hi Ray I agree with you 100%. Not too many young people today would Even know or ever heard of Perry Como, he had a great TV show, and you're right wonderful Christmas shows. Only the old timers like me would remember him. I don't think i've ever heard that song sung any better than Sarah did it. Philly 👍
Of course when I was little I didn't want to watch Perry Como, I wanted to watch Flipper. We had one black and white tv so dad won. I am glad he did. I agree. Never heard that song sung better I say that a lot about Sarah's songs. @@philipdescarfino1048

A great song, has been covered by many artists over the years. I think the familiarity with Perry Como's version has me thinking his is the best version, but then there's Elvis! On this occasion it's Sarah and you really give us an amazing rendition, it's a 10 from me! X

I am still learning the piano, which is really enjoyable and I have been to a few more music nights around the region, so, all good. Hope you and all your family are doing great, how is Marie doing?
