      Btw, if you have the time, try doing ego corrosion with some of the sinner's egos. You can do that manually by holding an ego icon when you open the menu. Though be warned that you will need double the resources to do that if you don't want it to attack your sinners if RNG screws you. It's really fun and actually viable if you know the risks involved.

    Red sheets sinclair is one of the hardest rupture ids to manage, BUT
    his bench passive(in team, not fighting) is arguably the strongest rupture passive especially if you're running a 7Association team who also have a lot of rupture and gluttony on top of other debuffs.

      Funnily the best ID for him to support is Rodieci, whose large health pool rarely gets drained, and who has a lot of coins to use talisman on. 3 gloom coins synergises pretty well with AEDD too.

      @@wymarsane7305 I think K Hong Lu works better. He makes better use of rupture, he has his own gluttony to trigger the passive, he has higher HP, and he can easily heal off any damage from the talismans with either his skill 2 or an ampule.

    Few things to note
    1) I forget if you mentioned this already, I feel like you have but just in case. Vergilius & Charon are from a prequel story Leviathan that explains their backstory.
    2) Welcome to the PM difficulty spike! just a heads up this chapter is kinda lousy with them to so have fun with that
    3) Just to get ahead of the crowd on this one. On launch, it was mission critical for you to have a full Slash/Pierce team that did not inflict any bleed or burn count unless you wanted the dungeon to go on an extra 2+ hours. something the game *does not* warn you about and was much harder to do when a majority of the slash IDs at launch were all bleed focused. Now it's not as bad cause they patched in ways around it but yeah. So if anyone gets on your ass for bringing bleed into the dungeon just ignore them, it's just the PTSD talking

    A good advice starting this chapter is paying attention to enemy resistances. Enemies of same faction/archetype tend to have same resistance and generally, as a whole, almost every enemy, just like all sinner identity, has a damage type its weak to, damage type its strong against and damage its neutral to. K corp guards, for example, are weak to blunt. Of course, abnormality fights mostly operate on sin resistances, rather than damage types, but for regular encounters, building a team around doing specific damage type can wreck through enemy thats weak to it. Extra so if you pack AOE EGO of that type (Representation Emitter is very good)

    A good place for a stopping point, you're also getting more ID's that are great for Rupture.
    Also yes, the daily pull with paid lunacy is very high value, especially when you're just starting out and lack most of the ID's & EGO's.
    It's also nice seeing someone familiar the Orchestra reference after seeing so many new people come into the franchise with Limbus as their first iteration into the series!
    Neat little thing with your EGO's by the way, just like how ID's get a new splash art at Uptie 3, they get their proper background upon use. I hope we get to see your reaction to some of them once you uptie your new EGO's! Or your first experience with Corrosion if you have seen any of that yet!

  • @princeoflemons212
    @princeoflemons212 6 місяців тому +22

    Oh wow we're starting the episode off strong, I see. Alright, time for some reviews~
    LCCB Assistant Manager Ishmael:
    A tremor and rupture-focused ID. Her clashing power has a bit to be desired, but it scales off of the amount of Tremor an enemy has- If they have plenty on them, her skills become significantly better at clashing. Normally, this would be a nothing-effect due to the fact that there is just about nothing that applies Tremor, but... LCCB Ishmael's skill 2 is actually really, stupidly good at applying Tremor. Better yet, the last coin on her skill inflicts 5 Fragile. FIVE. That's 50% more damage for your entire team! The only downside is that she's slower than average, meaning you'll struggle to make the absolute most of it, but she's pretty solid!
    Deici Association South Section 4 Yi Sang:
    A Discard ID that inflicts Sinking. This Yi Sang is a Tank ID, as Insight is a... weirdly dumb effect that gives you a lot of Shield when you use it correctly. The sinking output he gives has a bit to be desired, unfortunately, but he clashes pretty alright and is tanky enough that losing clashes isn't much of an issue. Even if you do lose a clash, he inflicts a bit of sinking to the enemy, meaning that you're that little bit more likely to win a clash in the future against that enemy. Pretty nice, all things considered.
    Holiday (Outis):
    This EGO is hilarious. And, shockingly enough, pretty good. At Threadspin 1, it rolls a 20 at minimum and a 31 at maximum, meaning it's unlikely to ever lose clashes. While the Tremor Burst is... meh, the extra damage she gives your team and the 20SP heal are very, very good. SP EGOs are pretty few and far between, and this gives you something other than Representation Emitter to rely on. The passive of this EGO is... whatever, it's basically the same as Gregor where 1 out of 5 status conditions are slapped onto the enemy.
    9:2 (Faust):
    9:2 is an interesting EGO. On paper, it's really good on burn teams since it inflicts a maximum of 10 Defense Level Down (Which basically makes the enemy more fragile), but it comes with a bit of an issue. It costs Gluttony. If you run a Liu-based Burn Team (which is basically the only thing you can really do), you will have practically no Gluttony support, meaning that this EGO is practically unusable. Outside of that, it clashes pretty alright and at higher Threadspin tiers can become AoE depending on how much Lust Resonance you have.
    Effervescent Corrosion (Hong Lu):
    A rupture and bind-focused EGO. The rupture it inflicts is whatever, feasibly speaking Gluttony is unlikely to ever get high enough to where the amount of Rupture you're applying will go beyond 2, but the Bind is actually pretty alright. Speed control is the name of the game for a lot of hard content, and this lets you do it without relying on Crows Eye View or another Base EGO, meaning you have options. It's kind of pricy, but all in all it's... fine. Not superb, but definitely has its uses.

      The problem with Effervescent Corrosion is that, in basically every scenario, it's flat-out worse than Hong Lu's other HE E.G.O., Dimension Shredder. When it was originally revealed, it was TETH, and accepted as basically tailor-made for K-Corp Hong Lu - and discarded when it's grade was shifted. However much you invest (or don't) into Effervescent Corrosion, it'll be shelved and never seen again when the gatcha almighty blesses thee with Dimension Shredder.

    Quite a lot of people might call LCCB Ish mediocre - and sure, her clashing is weak and will suffer in later content - but for Canto 3 specifically I think she's great. Not only is she both resistant to blunt and deals only blunt damage - amazing for Canto 3 - but also, hey, she's a token part of the teams that people use to speedrun stuff using Rupture.
    The one problem she has with rupture is that her skill 1 and 2 inflict none, only eat it up, but her skill 3 is great at applying it in a burst. Also she's decently tanky. The Ishmael 000 units are surely generally better, but hey, those are both more rare to get and more expensive to uptie!

  • @otherevan296
    @otherevan296 6 місяців тому

    LCCB Ish now, ey~? A lovely addition to the Rupture team! With this, you have the framework for a pretty good Rupture team now! Well, you've had a good frame ever since you got Lantern Don and 7Heath.
    7Heath, Lantern Don, LCCB Ish and Ryoshu, all four can be pretty good with maintaining Rupture Count (for the latter two, you're gonna have to use their 3rd Skills, which rely on their limited Ammo). Talisclair can pretty handily keep up the Potency pretty high too, with all the Talismans; you also have the flow of it down pretty nicely too~
    With this specific team, you can fuel their EGOs quite well too. The only Sin Affinity you'll be missing is Sloth, which you could choose to either fill in with a 6th teammate if available or just leave alone, considering nobody on this team has an any EGOs that need it (aside from Outis if you decide to run her, but you could just run her Base ID which has sloth to patch it up).
    I hope the rolls get even better next time. A pretty good combo of a specific Outis ID and Outis HE-tier EGO (and its passive) would be immaculate for your Rupture team~

    51:08
    let's actually see...
    Don has 30 sp, gaurd has 12
    so chance of heads for Don: 80%
    chance of heads for gaurd: 62%
    the 1 coin skill wins if and only if gaurd rolls low, you roll high, which has a probability of 0.8×0.38=30.4%
    let's take a look at the 3 coin skill: it wins if the gaurd rolls low and you roll at least 1 coin
    if you're left in a situation with just one coin left after losing 2 clashes in a row, your chance of success still is 30.4%, so overall it's better
    but for the sake of actually seeing how much better it is, let's calculate the probability:
    if we have 2 coins left, we have a 0.62+0.38×0.2^2=63.52% chance to lose one clash: either the gaurd rolls high, or the gaurd rolls low and we roll all tails
    the probability to lose the whole clash once you have 2 coins left is then 44.20992% since you'd have to lose the next clash as well
    similarly, if we have 3 coins left, 0.62+0.38×0.2^3=62.304% chance to lose one clash and a 27.5445485% chance to lose the whole thing
    so... an 72.5% chance to win
    and that means that either my calculations are completely and utterly wrong, or the game doesn't calculate winrate properly or the game only shows the probability for the first clash (around 37.7%), which actually does seem to allign with the arrow overpowering ratio
    huh, neat

    • @wymarsane7305
      @wymarsane7305 6 місяців тому +2

      It does indeed only show the probability for yhe first clash. This also causes the game to show a lot of Hopeless odds on negative coin IDs because they always clash worst before losing coins.
