The fact that you made it to Barcelona on Corpus Christi is such a Godsidence!! I'm Catholic myself and on that day we celebrate the wonderful gift that God has given us here on earth of himself in the holy eucharistic. I've been following you for years Ashley, even during your old UA-cam channel. I pray to God that you find happiness, peace, faith, hope, and love on your new life journey. You are such a resilient soul and I truly am inspired by you. I hope that your new chapter in Barcelona will bring you many blessings. God bless you!
OMG since you came to Europe I was hoping you would come over here! I cant believe this is actually coming true! 😂 So excited to have you here, I live here as well since 3 years but still not fluent in Spanish 🙈! Disciplining myself has been so hard but small progresses are happening ! With an intensive course you will definitely get far! Dont worry Barcelona has a lot to offer, definitely nice hiking areas in montseny, montserrat, collserola Parc. Visiting cities around BCN is also nice with the train such as Sitges, Blanes, Tarragona. Meetup has some nice activities as well!
Ash, I have been following your vids for years, but lost track of you for a number of recent months. Somehow with your upbeat and optimistic attitude you always seem to land on your feet. That is THE real thing that people can learn from your videos. All the best to you.
Well, I just met two folks visiting Norway from Barcelona. I am really looking forwarding to visiting Spain so I'm definitely looking forward to your tips.
I lived in Cataluyna for 6 years, in Tarragona to be precise. It is about an hour from Barcelona. It was the Roman capital on Hispania and has some good Roman remains there. It is well worth a visit. I loved my time there. I also enrolled into the official language school of Spain to learn Spanish. Managed to get to level B1. Slowly and painfully! But glad I did it. All the best with your next stage in life!
This reminds me of when I went to Germany 30 years ago. I hit a dark time in my life. I thought, why not go to Germany and learn a foreign language? Hopefully I'd get a job there too. What did I have to lose? Well, I ended up learning German and meeting my wife. We now live very happily in New Zealand. But I can look back at that decision being a pivotal moment.
Your nice comfortable train journey was as quick as flying to Barcelona. That is the beauty of train travel in Europe and far less hassle than flying. Certainly with the chaos at airports and with the airlines at present.
UA-cam just recommended your new video, as an old subscriber to your previous life we are more than happy to support you. Congrats! Keep it up, looking forward to your new future!

I wish you even kind of luck with your new life and your linguistic endeavours Ash. Looks as though you are possibly going to be too busy to continue with your videos and I for one will miss your happy face and optimistic view of life. If you do decide to come back to us I shall be very pleased.

Great stuff, you will not be on your own long in Spain, fair and pretty my friends daughter went to Spain to teach English. She went for a year 29 years ago now lives in Teneriffe with her husband and two children. We did French and German at school also Latin. Never thought l'd need either surprisingly the latter came in useful for my professional life. The others have forgotten more than l learned. Did learn to speak basic Thai but not to write it, an art in it's own way. Enjoy Spain plenty of sun cream a beautiful place and very friendly.
