Great video, and you confirmed what I have been saying for ages; the only difference between the lowest and highest technology levels is the programming - the aids are otherwise identical. You mention that there should only be a couple of hundred dollars between levels; when I bought my Unitrons three years ago, each technology level was AU$2000 more. I feel I was taken advantage then (they were my first hearing aids). I'm looking forward to my next set, I am so much better informed now. Thanks for the video.
Hello Dr. Cliff. I'm currently wearing the Phonak Sphere and have the highest technology level. I really like these hearing aids, but I'm struggling with the BTE model that I have never worn, but have tried to wear. I wear a hat and glasses. They should make glasses for hearing aids.
Thanks to all the Dr Cliff viewers who got back to me on his delivery speed including Dr Cliff. I've had second thoughts. This may be part of my hearing/cognition problem. Thanks all, I now know how to adjust the playback speed of UA-cam videos. And thanks Dr Cliff who has been a complete game-changer on my understanding of hearing loss and its remediation.
I can’t say i truly understand the different technology levels. I based my decision on features that i thought i would most likely use and that all my devices would play well with each other. My watch, phone and tablet all work well with my hearing devices and they can work better when i upgrade my watch and phone. This is my first set of devices and I have had them for 19 months. The technology on my watch and phone is considerably older and could definitely be upgraded. My biggest concern was over rechargeable versus disposable devices and i did end up purchasing more than one pair of devices for that reason. The feature i like the best are remote microphones. And i do have an excellent Hearing Up audiologist, Scot Frink, AuD who always does an outstanding job with my hearing healthcare.
I have the Phonak Audeo P50-R which are two steps below the top level. I've been relatively happy except for the noise cancellation. Looking forward to upgrading to the Sphere Infinio.
Hi Dr Cliff. I have learned so much about hearing aids over the past few months of watching your excellent videos. However, I'd enjoy and learn so much more if you'd allow a little breath between each video edit. At the moment it's all coming to me at AK47 speed. As someone who shot and edited TV docos for many years it was essential for maximum comprehension to leave breathing room. The difference is amazing. Besides my bcomment, please keep educating us all about 'best practice' absolutely essential to get the best results.
Thanks for the feedback. Several years ago I tested slower paced videos and viewership dramatically declined. I trying to strike a healthy balance between speed and viewership. Please adjust your playback speed to a slower pace to help you follow along better.
I was recently fitted with Signia Pure Charge and Go T 7IX by the Veterans Administration. I'm currently in a one month period of getting used to the devices before they will be properl adjusted. The audiologist did do real ear measurement but did not adjust the result to my prescription. As a result I've had to run the volume level quite low and the balance to soft as trebles are quitev sharp. These replace a pair of Signia Pure C & G 7NX which were about 4 years old but were never really set up properly and weren't worn regularly. I live in Georgetown, Ky. and we have one of your Best Practices audiologists in town so I may be seeing her if the VA doesn't do a comprehensive set up.
Poor, less poor, middle, upper middle, wealthy, rich. The system is objectively advantageous for those who sell them, at the expense of those who need them
I have the Phonak Naida Lumity L90 BTE UP hearing aids with custom ear molds along with the Roger-On listening device due to my severe to pronounced hearing loss.
Lucid Hearing sells prescription models with with 16, 24, 32, 64, 96 and 128 "channels" for varying prices. I'm wondering is those are like equalizer bands, and if so it seems like 128 channels is a bit of overkill? Since the Lucid hearing aids seem to only be sold at Sam's club, and is the only brand sold at Sam's Club, it may simply be a "marketing" term.
This is somewhat true. You want to get the best hearing that you can get and if that means spending some more even if you have to finance it might be well worth it.
ACT test could shed light if a higher technology level is needed.... Along with the need of ALD.s Thus, i dont fully agree with you., in addition an instrument with 10K bandwith usueally has better sound quality.
You’re really good with “clickbait”, but poor in delivering any substantial content. You spent almost 14 minutes just to tell people to go with what they can afford.

I have worn Widex Moment and now wearing a less expensive Rexton hearing aid- Honestly, the less expensive Rexton is much better-❤
This is very interesting.

You only have to adjust your speed slower or faster. I put Dr Cliff on 1.25 and that works for me with just a little more speed.

For me ... noise reduction ... I stored a configuration for the midway at the county fair.
Have you heard of hearing aid connectivity problems with iphone ios 18.x? Thank you.
Again as a retired professor, the cost is the priority

Hers is more expensive because you do not need the high end stuff to do e-mail.
I bet YOURS is WAY more expensive, Cliff. You know ... "big boys toys" 🤣🤣🤣
Intent 2's, considering 1's.
Biggest concerns are sound quality, and voices in noisy environments.

Llevo Oticon More 2.
the left Dell is $6000

Ha. 😮
I learned what what features typically vary with price.
💥 That's about it.
