I do 2 main things, one is changing the resolution, i love play on 1440X900
Then i do a little change to get rid of stupid lagg like this:
Go to your game folder > Search for "RA2md.ini" file and edit the "Video" options like that:
[Video]
VideoBackBuffer=no
ScreenWidth=1440
ScreenHeight=900
StretchMovies=no
*If you dont have the line "VideoBackBuffer=no", just add it for a smoother game.
*If you have Yuri's Revenge expansion, do the same with "RA2.ini" file.

@@16HANDLES31it is in the description, and here i am struggling to beat a single brutal ai haha, they build so fast (sometimes 2-3 buildings at the same time) and it seems theyre unlimited in gold.

I'm currently playing on Windows 10, but yes, I've played on Windows 7 as well.
At worst you have to make a compatibility change
left click on Yuri.exe file (in your game folder) > properties >compatibility >change run as windows xp service pack 3
