The Story of Chicago is about two women who had missed the chances of youth and were now desperate with their one last chance. To me: THATS the entire premise. ROXIE: "Now, I'm gonna tell you the truth...not that the truth really matters. But, the thing is: I'm older than I ever intended to be! And all my life I wanted to be a dancer in vaudeville!", etc etc. That is the line that explains the whole story, and it was cut from the movie.
Man can't say I m impressed by the Brodway performance. The movie was stunning. Katherine come back😊
