@@elinonbjartalid807for real 😂😂😂 how deep stacked do you have to be, I’ve played .25/50 at a $100 avg buy in deep stack with my friends and they rebought multiple times, but nobody had more than $5 chips and if we really needed we could’ve got the $25 but usually ur not betting that high. However, these chips are commonly used for board games, because they don’t have $ and have a 20 chip and paper money sucks ass compared to poker chips, so maybe in some board games you need to pay for stuff with like 150.75 or something.
My nitpick--not enough variation in the edge spots used (1 and 5 are the same; 10, 20, and 25 are the same; etc). One could argue that a person will not be using a 10, 20, and 25 at the same time but a 1 and 5 most likely will be used together.
Thanks for doing a review of these. I saw them on their site and really liked the look and love that they made a "20", which I like for a cash poker game, for when people pull out $20 bill and makes it easy, 1 bill for 1 chip. Obviously only when we're out of small change. The colors are great. A common problem among all chips are the 500s being too dark of purple and getting mixed up with 100s, but no problem here. I was a little curious about the .25 and 5 for my cash game tho, particularly with a couple of my color-blind players. But these have different edge spots, so that should help them differentiate. I wonder if the width difference compared to your casino chips has anything to do with wear over time? Also, will they fit in a clear rack okay?
Just got 550 of these for my little .25c/.50c cash game. I own the CPS China clays, the nexgen dunes, and I own a set of Paulson private card room hot stamps. People are sleeping on these bank chips. They’re stunning in person. Bold bright colors really pop. Everyone that’s seen them has been impressed
Better than the Majestics? They seem very similar to me, but more variation in edge spots with these. Don't love either labels/inserts, but all in all they look very interesting.
I just got 3 rolls of the 5's. Plan on getting a 4th roll to fill up my covered chip tray. Not much of a poker or other casino card game player myself. Got the 5's mainly to keep score while playing Muggins Dominoes. Since there is no currency denominations. These are perfect for point counters. Since there is a variant of Dominoes call Mexican Train. These chips fit right in. I might end up getting other denominations to use for Mexican Train Dominoes.
I'm fussy as my next set will be my last set... But these are 'fine', depending on the cost of import to the UK. I don't like the configuration of the spot patterns (colour more objectionable than shape) and I find the labels a bit 'meh' BUT that is a matter of taste as opposed to some objective universal criticism.
These would be excellent board game chips if they were a little more muted/in-theme. I still went for a roxley 'iron clays' 100 box over these, because of the aesthetics for board games of all themes. But it's almost a toss up. Because these probably do feel nicer. In terms of price there wasn't much of a difference for me in Europe.
Normally the Pink is $2.50. As a poker dealer that works in a major casino I have never seen a pink $50. $20 are Normally yellow. But other then that it's a nice set you have there.
What makes a chip “China clay “ and how do you determine that? Also are there any chips comparable to the Paulsons? It just seems like everything is China clays except Paulsons.
China clays are made out of plastic, but labeled as "clay". Classic Poker Chips are very comparable, and many people (including myself), actually prefer CPC chips to Paulsons.
He really likes those "ceramic" chips for the money. Tiki Kings and Nevada Jack's. Paulson are the best but unavailable and Classic Poker Chips for customs.
@@percyblok6014 If we're going to have a category called "best unavailable", then that category would go to the long defunct T.R. King. They blew Paulson out of the water.
The 0.25 and 100 are difficult to tell apart when stacked.
what game contains both 0.25 and 100?

Companies need to make more generic labeled chips like this. I always thought fake casino “fantasy” chips were goofy.
They always felt a little tacky and “fake” to me too. A good clean chip with a clear/large denomination are perfect.
5:00 THANK YOU for measuring them.

I purchased a custom bank of this specifically for 18XX and I absolutely love them.
You are my motivation to collect it. Your chips are beautiful and eye-catching. Please continue to maintain the channel
I use these for my 18xx games (family of 19th century railroad board games). My other set is Majestics for the same purpose.
These are squarely aimed at 18xx (train games) and other economic board gamers. Should be good for poker too, but man how times have changed.
The train symbol on the back might have been the obvious giveaway. 😁
@@SergeantExtreme the front and back of each numbered chip are the same, the train chip is special like a dealer chip

These fit my clear chip racks just fine. I don't think the casino chips have worn that much, but you're right, there must be something in it.

I got a big set which can be used as cents value or dollar. They are next to the ASM and Paulson the best chips in look, feel and sound.

Would you say you like these more than the magestics?

I wanted to love these but the Kurhaus poker chips scratched that currency itch better for me.
Any chance we can get a side by side comparison of Apaches Monte Carlos to the Majestics?
Thanks for the request. I'll see what I can do.
Really looking like the China clay chip reviews seem to reveal good value and feel.

Is these are china clays, where are Paulsons made? Or were made?
No. In fact, China clays aren't made out of clay. Instead, they are made out of plastic.
