The 4 mana 7/7 card is so funny. It’s a reference to a meme from hearthstone about blizzard creating cards with overpowered 7/7 stats compared to the low 4 mana cost, but they usually came with some big drawback effect

27:37 The way the kanban card works is that you choose a card in the draw pile to put it on top of, so that the next time you draw it, you know the next card you draw will be the one you chose.
14:10 there IS a witcher card game, it's called gwent. And Geralds effect in that game is destroying an enemies's card above a certain stren3, just like here. I love all these references
Heirophant is honestly one of the worst cards in the game. It should work like Trap Card, but healing you for your opponent's damage instead of reflecting it back.
Damage works by subtracting the lower number from the higher number, then dealing the remainder to the owner of the lower number, with a bust counting as zero.
So the way the Hierophant works is that you heal both players for whatever you’ve exceeded the bust limit by, but then damage is still calculated. So you healed for 5 since you had 26 in play, then you took 17 damage because of the opponent’s hand. The best time to use this card is if your opponent has already busted. If both players bust, nobody takes damage and you’ll still heal from your Hierophant card. I know you also said you weren’t sure how damage was calculated: the way it typically works is whoever gets the higher value does damage to the other player minus their opponent’s value. So your hand is your attack value, but it’s also your defense value if you lose. If you have 17 and your opponent has 19, you’ll take 2 damage. If you bust, however, you take damage as though your hand was 0. I believe if you get a Blackjack then it counts your opponent’s hand as zero? Not 100% sure on that one. You also activate any special bonuses from your suits in your hand at that time.
8:22 there is a strategy in blackjack called counting cards, where you change your play based on the cards left to draw. You have better winning chances with more high cards left (more chances of a blackjack) so you should remove the 2
I have to disagree. The special cards in this game are OP. You want to remove all of the high cards so that you can play more cards every turn to play the special cards more often
damage seems simple, the winner deals the difference in damage, busts are considered a 0 in damage calculation. if you have a blackjack the opponents hand is considered 0.
When you needed to remove a card and you said "the ace is obviously the worst" I literally made a noise to myself haha. That's how you make a perfect 21!!!! You need it to get a "blackjack" because ace =1 and 11 so to get it you need a 10/face card + ace. If not it's just a normal 21. At casinos you'll normal earn 1.5x chips for a blackjack
"if you bust this turn, heal both players BY THE AMOUNT BUST LIMIT WAS EXCEEDED BY" you didnt read it carefully, look at 18:12 top left corner you see the lil +5 and your HP went from 31 to 36 at first but you busted so you taking the damage from your opponent so -17 at 18:14 then its 36 - 17 = 19 hp thats your current health at 18:25
I'm surprised that there's not an "Inverse Card" which reads something along the lines of "If you would take damage while this card is in play, your opponent takes damage instead."
There actually is! It's called the "Trap Card" and it does exactly that effect! It's one of the only cards where it's worthwhile to bust. Edit: oh, you can see it at 20:02
@@PopodumMan aaah i missed it, it's more of a Yu-Gi-Oh reference than the direct Uno reference but it checks out How about a "Yellow Card" with an effect along the lines of: once this card is played, your opponent is suspended for the turn and can place no more cards
@@matroqueta6825 I think the uno card reference is supposed to be the +2 card? Not too sure though. And that yellow card would be pretty powerful! Maybe it should instead force the opponent's next card played to have no effect and be value 0, as though the card was skipped. Edit: Oh. Yellow card as in sports. I am not smart
He got a blackjack (21 total number). This invalidates the opponent making them deals 0. He also chose a club starter which adds the cards played as damage. He played 7 cards so he got 28 dmg. The opponent got 13 shield so 28 - 13 = 15 damage dealt, leaving the opponent with 10 dmg (25 - 15 = 10).

@@Arkouchie when counting cards you bet more if there are less low cards. What I’m saying is you get better odds by removing a low card
@@deepslates the reason for that is because it's more likely that the dealer busts. Your opponent here has their own deck, so you can't rely on that.

4 cost 7/7 is an overpowered card if you can get rid of all your high cards, especially if you add lots of negative cards.
this game is all ive ever wanted from a deck builder
