The "new" Ryzen non-X are just sleightly worse binned CPUs to their X counterparts. The major difference is just that they use Eco-Mode/88W out of the box.
BOTH CPUs X and non-X have the same efficiency, only the X boosts so high, they lose that efficiency. You can actually tune ANY Ryzen 7xx0X CPUs the same way.
For MOST people the non-X are better as they are also cheaper. But using the Wraith cooler can limit its performance.
Personally i hate running CPUs too hot or wasting too much power. I use UV as often as i can.
I also downclocked/UV'd my 5950X, because it was running too hot and used too much power on the Desktop (it was bugged, it ran the boost all the time, even near idle).
Later i switched to a 5800X3D, when it was cheap. That one is running with PBO Curve on -30.

For bending pins back on a Ryzen CPU, I've found that a flat razor blade works wonders. The blade fits perfectly through a row of pins. You just gently run the blade across the row of pins east/west, and then north/south.
If there's an actual bend on a pin, the best way to straighten them out is to partially insert the CPU into the socket and close the lever. And keep doing that until the processor just drops into the socket, as it should.
My old Ryzen 5 3600, it twice had it's pins bent. The first time I straightened them out (not with a flat razor, and not using the socket to straighten pins) , the chip worked, but it had a dead memory channel. When I decided to change out the thermal paste, the chip and cooler pulled out again, and the pins were in much, much worse shape, That's when I used the flat razor, and the socket to straighten the pins, and all of a sudden, the second memory channel came back to life, and that chip has worked great ever since,.

Memory Integrity is just a feature of Core Isolation but turning OFF the Memory Integrity doesn't mean you automatically stop the Core Isolation. There are some cases that even if turn off the Memory Integrity then the Core Isolation is still active. If you want to turn off completely the option Core Isolation just go to bios and disable the Virtualization but if you have some emulators that's not an option you want to disable. Also, I did a lot of fresh Win11 22H2 installs and the option Memory Integrity is OFF by default every time and then Win11 starts to send you notifications to enable Memory Integrity manually because of security reasons.

The alternative is to power limit them which achieves similar results as regards efficiency. I did this with a GTX 1080, worked very well. Also did it with my 5600X, setting a 75W package limit dropped all-core performance by 10% but it *halved* the peak power consumption, while single-core performance still remained strong as PBO was still active.

The 7700 is currently more expensive than the 7700X in the UK ,so I went with the latter. I would actually not recommend buying a cpu right now if you can wait ,just get the 7800X3D or if you can't spend as much go with 7600X.

5800x3d is just that good. I'll take that so I dont have to spend on a new motherboard/ram

Very good idea, 5800x3d is a very future proof cpu, couple that with a high frequency ram and it'll destroy anything you throw at it. Right now ddr5 and these new cpus just don't worth the money. You don't need that extreme productivity numbers and for rendering stuff 5800x3d is pretty solid, as well as rocking insane fps in games. I would at least wait 2 more generations to give up on am4. Not to mention x670 boards are almost double the price or more of x570 boards atm. I would go with a highend X motherboard of am4 generation than choosing a B of am5 generation.

@@commandruller I think 5800x3d is pretty much just a AM4 upgrade choice, if you are building right now 7600 non x and 13600kf is the choice if you want best value.

@@saricubra2867 It's more like if you already have an am4, 5800x3d will last way longer but if you dont have a pc and just starting out, might as well buy the 12700k. We're here looking for the price/performance. I aint gonna be loyal to amd. In terms of future proof, people can discuss it all day but I wont.
