From what I understand, Katas are about learning the techniques then mastering the movement of them. Then they can individually be used for self defense What are you defending against at 2:07 that requires that kind of jump?
Nice body control but the gi slapping and mat pounding to make those sounds are unimpressive and reminds me if what I'd see in an open tournament from a McDojo.
*COMPLETE CRAP.* *While the performer is obviously very capable and athletic, this has nothing to do with karate.* *The example NOT to follow if you're interested in martial arts rather than superficial showmanship!*
No? This is literally karate. This is kata! Not kumite. If your interested in martial arts and fighting you should do kumite. They never said anywhere here that this is martial arts! Although it technically is.
Of course, it's an amazing performance, but I've never seen before that anyone, right before the jump, made that small step forward. Of course, it facilitates the jump, but in JKA all referees I know would consider it as a mistake. The jump should be executed directly from tate-shuto-uke in zenkutsu-dachi
Blocking, attacking, speed, concentration, control every thing is perfect keep it dude...
Fallo bastante notorio en 1,52".
Melhor Unsu que já assistir. Completão!

Idk why your mad but the kata was beautiful and looks more like shito ryu than shotokan
@@MILK_RL45 Does it? I practiced Shito ryu and I've never seen this version of Unsu, I was wondering if it wasn't actually Shotokan.
@@Rastaboulotte maybe I was just saying it might be shito ryu from the speed

@@MILK_RL45nope, it’s shotokan. Although I do see how you thought it was shito ryu 👍🏼

Edit: actually it was a step backward (with front leg)
We cant take our step back?
