    The new STAGEPAS features two sleek, lightweight speakers and a detachable powered mixer, along with one pair of speaker cables and a power cord, giving you a complete, extremely portable sound solution that can be set up quickly and easily in a variety of configurations and environments. By combining new high-efficiency amplifiers, newly designed speakers, and high performance DSP, the new STAGEPAS delivers a significant increase in power output (400W for the 400i and 680W for the 600i) as well as substantial improvements in sound quality and reliability. Complementing the boost in performance, the addition of iPod/ iPhone connectivity, SPX digital reverbs, an onboard feedback suppressor and more versatile EQ, has improved functionality and ease of use considerably, allowing STAGEPAS to meet the demands of a much wider range of applications and users.

    I have a Yamaha Stagepas 600i system with a pair of Yamaha SW500 powered subs. I place each speaker on a stick above each sub. I plug a Hosa YPP111 Y splitter into the sub out on the mixer and send a line to each sub. This is easily the most compact flexible little system I’ve ever owned and I simply take along as much of the system as I need to depending on the situation or the venue. This is absolutely awesome for anyone performing solo as I do or even for duos or trios. With both subs running, I wouldn’t hesitate to perform a small bar gig with a drummer and a bass player, using the system mainly for vocals of course. What a great little system!

      +jacobhn2 have top speakers on the floor is really wasted.. once you have some folks in front of them, the sound is almost completely gone.. you would be best to put all four speakers in the air... or put two 12" subs below your two tops.

      I only had two speaker stand with me and they stood three meters apart , 10 " on the stand and 12" on the floor. there were not that many out and dance , it was a bit of difference , but I think that those who were close to the speakers , would not be able to hear 10 " tweeters maybe slightly from They both top and floor speakers. I have no speakers annymore it was a few years ago, but I plan to buy some small 10 " or 2 (2 x 6") speaker and a sub.

    Per the manual, when you plug in the sub woofer, the frequencies below 120 Hz are cut to the Main speakers and are routed to the Sub.

      In user manual Yamaha mentioned that don't use any cable for speakers instead of original one to avoid heating in wires and short circuit
      is that true ?

    • @discjockeynews
      @discjockeynews  8 років тому +1

      +Saleh Al-Ghamdi the reason for that is the gauge of the wires... while not super thick, if you lesser quality wires, you run the risk of overheating the wires and overworking the amp.. but, if you have a bit longer speaker cables with a quality gauge/type of wire.. you will be fine. The fear is doing 50 feet of speaker wire at a thin gauge that would cause issues.

    Please, can someone tell me the sound comparison between a pair of Yamaha DBR10 and a pair of Yamaha Stagepas 600? I am not looking to wattage comparison, both are 129SPL each and 10 inch speakers. I am worried about the sound quality for music enjoyment. I just got a Yamaha Stagepas 600 and I am thinking about upgrading it to a pair of Yamaha DBR10, but is it an upgrade or they just sound like a Yamaha Stagepas? Cheers! Adittional information: DBR10 has a 2.1kHz crossover and Stagepas has a 2.8kHz crossover. Is a 2.8kHz worse? And DBR 10 tweeter is 1 inch and Stagepas is 1.4 inch.

    • @wandatepedino

    • @wandatepedino
      @wandatepedino 3 роки тому

      The subwoofer is JBL PRX 818XLF. I was pretending to get a pair of JBL PRX812 speakers to match with my subwoofer, but I have got these Yamaha Stagepas in exchange of equipments.

    • @wandatepedino
      @wandatepedino 3 роки тому

      I have heard that 12 or 15 inch speakers produce muffled voice, but not the 10 inch. So I was not inclined to get JBL PRX812 (12 inch) speakers for this reason. I have heard about Yamaha DZR315 three-way speaker including a 15 inch subwoofer, a 8 inch for mids and a tweeter. This is definitely what I seek, but two problems: too expensive and heavy :(. I need to know if I am great with my Yamaha Stagepas please! (full sound range)

    Hi! I'm trying to decide between the 400i or the 600i. I'm a jazz/soul singer, so I would be using it mainly for duo gigs with vocals and guitar, or trio gigs with vocals, guitar, and sax. I also do a smaller jazz band set up consisting of guitar, bass, drums, and vocals. It would be used for lounge style venues, weddings, restaurant patios etc. Which one would you recommend? Total shot in the dark, but I just got the 600bt and it sounds fantastic when I play my keyboards through it. I happened to have a Yamaha subwoofer lying around from an unused surround sound system and it is a 6 channel power amplifier active servo processing subwoofer. Unfortunately I don’t have a model number, but was curious if there was a way to use this as a subwoofer through the PA. No luck so far with RCA’s or an RCA with an adapter to the subwoofer out quarter inch input. Is this a fools errand or should it work?
