    Great video as usual. Do you have a link to the magnets you used? (Website/size/strength?)

    How many magnets do you need to keep the pieces from separating? Do you have a rule of thumb for how many per inch? The one I am making has a faceplate i want to make detachable.

    What is the size of the drill bit you used? I am working on this exact helmet and trying to figure out which bit to go buy to make the spots for the magnets.

  • @Gregraven1
    @Gregraven1 2 роки тому +1

    Question, what type of drill bit did you use and where can i get one? I tried a regular drill bit but it caused the edges to raise. Thanks.

      I use this brand. They work so well with plastic. Perfect. Just get the size you need. amzn.to/3aP2Y8J

    Could you use a bump helmet chin strap to secure the helmet to your head better? Getting one of Villianous Props helmets to use in airsoft. So making sure it stays on my head I wonder if a chin strap would work along with foam.

    • @3DPrintedProps
      @3DPrintedProps  3 роки тому +1

      Yeah you could. I'd use a nylon strap and make a chin cap from foam or check out a helmet chin cap on amazon or at Dick's Sports. Good idea.

    would a solder iron break the magnets field or could you use it to add the magnets into the plastic?

    I know this is a very late response but I have the same magnets and epoxy putty but when I put it in my helmet the magnets don't want to connect. I have it flush and the magnets aren't covered with putty so I'm not sure what's going on. Any thoughts?
    Great video and keep it up.

    I have finished painting my helmet, I was wondering if I can find a way to send you a photo, to show you my first attempt. Now I am just waiting for my led lights to come, then I will start on the interior. I was curious on the magnets, the bit where you like the magnets but they look clunky, besides the look, would way still work well, I wanted to try keep it simple for my first attempt, because I am new with magnets :)
