Storytime!
One time I was in a hospital visiting my grandmother and the elevators not working because the power had just went out so we had to walk up the stairs. She was on the 8th floor and it took forever to walk up. We passed three security guards and an entire group of people and no one warned us what was happening. We finally got to the 8th floor and got something from the vending machine which was some water cuz we had just walked up 8 flights of stairs. We walk over to the doors we were supposed to go into and someone walks over to us from the other side of the door and asks, "how did you get up here?" We answered, "We walked up the stairs," the lady who's at the door talking to us looked back at the desk with a few other people and then looked back at us and asked, "did no one tell you there was a fire on the 5th floor?"
The vending machine riddle reminded me of this bc the vending machine was almost not working when we tried to use it.
