there is not much Maynard won't say that doesn't hit home... the older he gets the better I become. I've found self thru his words now it's being solidified... and yet... he's a human just like the rest of us. the force is strong in this one
Exactly. With every album you get a feeling like he is connected to our generation, and as he ages, we do, and feel the same about certain subjects/have near same vibes. He just nails it as an artist.
Idk. I met him at an autograph signing. Everything about him screamed "not human" looking into his eyes was like looking into the ocean and stars at the same time
Corinthian Boling wish I could afford his expensive wine! I looked into it, and there's no damn way! Hope his talents for wine making is as lovely as his talents in music making.
Lexie Graham Even if I could afford it, as someone who doesn't drink wine normally I think it'd be a waste. The guy crafts these great wines for people who can appreciate them, it'd be selfish as a fan of his music to buy it just because of that I think.
My baby brother name is Brian hicks. And he committed suicide last Aug 7. I didn't even know about this song and I have been a fan 4 yrs. Well I just heard it and realize the name of the song .well his 37th birthday is September 30 Happy birthday baby brother. Oh by the way the song fits him to a T .your awesome Maynard James. I do believe that the dead speaks out to us we just have to listen 4 it .the dead speaks to you when your ready to listen to them. It's a beautiful thing that your loved ones are still all around U.
Just the fact that people judge JMK's music and any music for that point tells me we are missing some of the message he wants us to get. Any and all MUSIC is beautiful no matter how you interpret it. Don't believe me imagine life void of any and others and yourself without the ability to create it. It is a wonderful gift I remember someone said " who are you to point your finger, you must have been out your head" it can only help to open our hearts and minds before we open our mouths. Much LOVE
+Devin Kennedy Could be a sound modelled and filtered, or it's possible that it's a sample that is modified later. Both could get you very similar sounds if you know what are you doing.

Always look on the bright side of death, just before you draw your terminal breath. Life's a piece of shit when you look at it, life's a laugh and death's a joke it's true. You'll see it's all a show, keep them laughing as you go, just remember that the last laugh is on you.
Who is the “Brian” that Maynard is referencing...? If this so-called “Brian” truly exists then, I recommend Maynard (the intellect) point him the right direction, instead of talking shit
I think Maynard got into a FB debate about people wasting time with music idol fanaticism when they should be out creating instead of drooling over people who do. The name of the person he was debating/arguing with is Brian
+Joshua Adams The song is also criticism of those with examined faith and a lack of intellectual curiosity. The title hints that if they had watched Life of Brian, they would not suffer from this fate. I'm an obsessive Tool fan waiting on their next album. lol Of course the beautiful of art is you take what you want from it based on your own reflections and experiences in life.
Or obsessive and pretentious Puscifer fans too I imagine. It is funny how people seem to think MJK hates his fans. He still tours, and sells out more shows with Tool than with his other projects. Have a lovely life in your chosen hell.

I started to read this as the song said this... the timing is unreal

One of their most gorgeous tracks!!
That entire last minute or so is a fucking masterpiece.

@@MrLandslide84 To be fairly honest. He fits so very perfectly. Thats some kinda Buddha we have never seen before.
Watch the movie with the world state in mind. I personally consider it to be the greatest film ever.

This is my favorite Puscifer song. :)
that vocal intro is fucking awesome
favorite from the new album.
Oh I don't think I've ever seen quite as awesome of a band group shot as that one
I see what you did there. Oceans? That is my favorite song to date.
I always had been questioning myself weather Maynard could heighten Puscifer by surpassing COMP. And he certainly has with Money Shot.
if I could choose a hell it would be sitting here listening to puscifer on youtube :P
What damit funny shit ¥
Huge BigUps to whoever put this here!

Reminds me of How to Destroy Angels/Trent Reznor at 3:14

some good damn tunes, I tell ya what.
Maynard just grows exponentially with side projects while the other members of tool fiddle around with the writng!

Shiver me wood sails is blown and true
The chello is stunning
3:14 - is that a muted trumpet, or is it a synthesized horn effect? Either way, it's intriguing. This album is inspiring and fantastic!
+Devin Kennedy definitely a synth
+Andrew Fredette This^ the girl on the far left is doing it with a synth board thing.

is this song about the movie?
Loved Monty Python. 😉
a fucking special song
bad ass. \,,/
album not really doing it for me, but this....this song is fantastic, particularly when carina's vocals come in @ 3:38...wow
The Arsonist and The Remedy were the only tracks that I liked in my first few listens. But the others are growing too, especially this.
After some time, I've gotten into many more tracks. I now definitely think this is better than their last full release
Dennis Mundy Indeed

Brian
I thought it was a play on the word brain
Lmao anyone get the life of Brian reference?
I hope so.
Did you get the APC, "so long and thanks for all the fish" reference? I sure hope so...
Bloody favoritism.
Yeah. Got it and all the other references, too.
Brian

Marilyn manson(Brian?Warner)?!?!
Probably a double meaning it is also a Monty Python movie about people following fanaticism.
